March Update 2017

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In February, Christopher wrote a poem called Great is His Faithfulness, which is excellent. You can find it at the link above. Indeed we have seen the Lord's faithfulness in our lives.

In March we celebrated Len's fifty first birthday. We enjoyed a delicious pumpkin pie, which has been all eaten up already. He received cards and blessings from the family, and also received some encouraging birthday wishes from loved ones back in New Hampshire and West Virginia.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. We began a new quarter on March 1.

One of our students named Tilia in Liberia was under a lot of persecution recently, so she was unable to finish her third quarter on time. When she was given the grace to finish during the current quarter, she was elated. She wrote in March:

Tilia in Liberia
"God bless you so much, Brother Len,

I am so happy, bless God for DTS. I can now freely go through my studies again.

Meanwhile, I have a testimony: the Lord has placed me into Leadership in my Church to help coordinate His people through True praise and worship.

God bless you once again, Tilia"

Another one of our students in Mali, Africa shared a testimony in March. Sister Colette wrote:

"Dear brother Leonard,

The following testimony is [regarding] my son. My son got into the wrong company and was arrested with hard drugs and a stolen motorcycle. He stayed in the police remand for 23 days.

Later was taken to court for plea where he admitted the offence and was taken to the prison remand to await his sentence. He didn't have a lawyer. He spent another 3 weeks before sentence. Meanwhile I kept praying for his deliverance and he on his part repented with a contrite heart asking God for mercy.

Collete in Mali
Last Tuesday the 7 March he was sentenced to 7 months, but God did a miracle on Wednesday 8 March. The day after the sentence, the same court sent a Letter to the prison to release him that they had made a mistake. He was released and he is out promising to serve God. End of testimony. All glory to the Lord.

Stay blessed,

Sister in Christ, Collete"

Praise the Lord for these wonderful testimonies from our students. By the way, sister Collete has not yet been able to go to Niger and Burkina Faso on those business trips we mentioned with her new consulting business due to delays in getting a visa.

In March we received word from David O. in Nigeria, another one of our DTS students, notifying us that he finished his exams in medical school that we had asked you to pray for in February. Thank you for praying.

Len also received this interesting comment in March on his article, called The 311 Moment. A reader commented: "Last night I was woken with a dream and the number 311. That is how I found this article by searching for answers to 311 in the Bible."

Len continues to write articles, and in February sent out his usual monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and USA. He received the following comment back on his March edition from one pastor in Uganda:

"Greetings Pastor Len in Jesus' name! I am blessed by your articles and ministry. It is long and I am asking you to pray with me always. I am going through serious persecution because of ministry work.

Blessings,

Pastor Grace Okurut,
Uganda"

Let's agree together in prayer for the Lord to deliver brother Grace from his persecutors, which he explained is denominational persecution.

We also received a comment from a Jewish reader named Deborah regarding one of Len's articles on his Yeshua Messiah blog, called The Brit Chadashah is Jewish. She was critical of the article and scoffed at the gospel message found in the New Testament. She accused Len of fooling people, so he responded to her with an article called, Harmony Between the Brit Chadashah and the Tanakh. You are welcome to check it out if you like.

"Lord, You establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Alabaster Jar and The Glory of the Lord Revealed. Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh - March 2017. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For allowing us to celebrate Len's fifty-first birthday.
  2. For the excellent poem that Christopher wrote about God's faithfulness.
  3. For helping brother David O to finish his medical school exams.
  4. For giving grace to the son of sister Collete, leading him to repentance, and giving him a second chance.
  5. For giving sister Tilia the opportunity to lead worship.
  6. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  7. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  8. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  9. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  2. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners.
  3. For the Lord to grant sister Collete help in getting the visas she needs to pursue the opportunities the Lord has given her in Niger and Burkina Faso with her new consulting business.
  4. For the Lord to water the seeds we have planted and bring conviction for guilt with regard to sin, righteousness, and the coming judgment in the hearts of those in whom we have planted seeds in our own community, including those who oppose us here.
  5. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  6. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  7. For the Lord to heal Len from sciatic trouble, causing chronic pain.
  8. For the Lord to move mountains to raise up new faith partners, including those who would sponsor our students, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry -- as He releases a financial miracle.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

February Update 2017

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In February we celebrated Joseph's eighth birthday with delicious, homemade fruitcake. He received some gifts and cards and prayer for blessing over his life. He had a very happy birthday. One of his gifts was a construction set with a saw, "wood," and various other tools. He enjoys working with his hands with tools, and the Lord has gifted him in that area, so this particular present seemed to suit him well. We sometimes remind him lovingly that he was born in Hungary. Because of that, he will have the option of accepting Hungarian citizenship when he turns eighteen years old, which is now only ten years away. Who knows what God may do with that.

More photos.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it.

David O. in Nigeria, who is a first-year medical student, has once again completed his DTS coursework early for the quarter. He is an excellent student of ours, and has medical school exams on Monday, February 20th, for which he has asked for prayer.

We received another wonderful testimony from one of our students, sister Claire in Mali. She wrote in part:

"Dear brother Leonard,

I started a consulting firm after my retirement and my first project is finding development partners for the construction of government projects in Niger. God made it possible that He put me in touch with the right people in the government of Niger.  It is unexplainable how an insignificant woman like me is going to higher places meeting ministers etc., if it is not the favour of God.

I am flying to Niger on 15 February (ticket and hotel all paid by the investor) to have first meeting with investor and minister of culture.  All glory to God.

As if that is not enough, I am in contact with the government of Burkina Faso for the same.

Please help me to thank and praise our living God without Him nothing could happen.

Stay ever blessed

Sister in Christ,

Collete"

Praise the Lord for giving sister Collete favor with men in high places as she starts her new consulting business. Let's pray that the Lord will grant her great success, especially on this February 15th trip to Niger, and help her to be a witness for Christ among these people of influence that she is doing business with.

Len continues to write articles, and in February sent out his usual monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and USA.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:

January Update 2017

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In December we created a new blog to publish photos of God's creation that Hope and other members of the family have taken. In light of God's Word, when we consider all the works His hands have made and Who He is, it should cause us to tremble before Him. We believe a holy shudder of awe in His presence is appropriate, and that's why we've called this blog A Shutter of Awe. We hope you will enjoy it!

More photos.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Brother Christian in Trier, Germany has started an LTG discipleship group with one other brother. Praise the Lord!

We also received a wonderful testimony from one of our students, sister Claire in Mali, who returned in January from a trip to her home country of Kenya, where she spent a few weeks. She wrote:

"Dear brother Leonard,

New Year greetings to you and your family in the name of the Lord.

I just returned from my trip in Kenya  It was really awesome. God manifested His presence throughout my trip.  First I thank Him for journey mercy throughout the entire trip.

Though I was not able to do as much as I had anticipated  I return all glory to Him that within that short time, He brought alot of transformation in my family using me. Just a few to mention below.

1.  He used me to unite my brothers and sisters who some of who had not been talking to each other for a very long time.  We had a family re-union where all of us forgave each other in the love of Christ and vowed to work together.

2. One of my nephews, a young man, renewed his salvation vows and promised to lead other youth to Christ.

3. We started a bible study fellowship in one of my sister's houses every Saturday afternoon with some of my nieces and nephews.

4. I thank God for using me to minister to them about Godly attire and the true churches that preach the true gospel and not prosperity. This I did also to some of my friends.

I am not able to mention all that God did.  One thing I [did was give] all of them the Eternal Destinations blog web-site so that they can read [it] by themselves.  I once again thank God very much for the seed which is already planted.

I am forever thankful to God for using you in your writings, which enabled me to minister to others.

Remain blessed,

Sister Collete T."

Praise the Lord for crowning sister Collete's trip to Kenya with success.

December Update 2016

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In November we celebrated Thanksgiving together. The Lord blessed us with a wonderful turkey dinner with all the fixings and a delicious pumpkin cake for dessert. We all gave thanks to the Lord for His many providential blessings that we have received.

More photos.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. We began a new quarter on December 1, and our two newest students started their three-year training. They are brother Christian in Trier, Germany and brother Solomon in Nairobi, Kenya.

We also received a praise report in November from another one of our DTS students named Tilia in Liberia, who wrote:

"My daughter who lives in the US and I have not been talking for 4 years. Sister Jennifer Lacroix has been praying along with me. By the Grace of God Almighty, I can now communicate with [my daughter]. To God alone be all the glory." Praise the Lord. And we've been praying she will also get custody of her daughter as well.

We continue to receive positive feedback from readers around the world, who are benefiting from this ministry.

One sister in India wrote to us in December with an email entitled in part, "You are doing great Job, you will be rewarded in heaven" She wrote in part: "Dear Len & Jennifer, Sweet Greeting from our Lord Jesus Christ & my son [name redacted] & myself...By God's appointment I flipped into your site yesterday, I thank God for He is wonderful Grace, You & Jennifer are doing great job. Keep it up, it will be highly rewarded in heaven...Since one week I was wondering & asking my Lord, how to find a genuine Bible college for my son...At one point I [myself] was also thinking to join Bible college, because I wanted  to learn about five fold ministry…Please, I need your help, can you suggest something for my son? I am looking to send him to a Bible study, no need of any degree… Just to teach him to know God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit & live in holiness...Thank you and God bless you. I am looking forward to hear from you. Yours sister in Christ. Joanita."

Len replied to her, inviting her and her son to prayerfully consider enrollment in our DTS.

After reading Len's article called, The Burning Ones, another sister commented, "Hello, I'm so blessed reading this article. I'm sure I was led to this, as it had been my heart's desire to know more about the baptism of fire. I want to know more. I hunger and thirst for more. I want to be a living sacrifice to God. I desire this, especially for the young children. I would appreciate if you get in touch. Thank you."

"Lord, You establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh - December 2016. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we enjoyed as a family.
  2. For the answer to prayer for Tilia in Liberia who is now in contact with her daughter in the US.
  3. For the encouragement received from Joanna in India, and the way the Lord has blessed her..
  4. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.

November Update 2016

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In early October, Faith and Charity found out from Charity's pen pal that their essays, which they had written on the topic of sibling relationships, had been published in the fall issue of the King's Blooming Rose (KBR) magazine.

In November, we celebrated Hope's sweet sixteenth birthday. Jennifer baked a delicious, homemade, pumpkin crisp for her. She received some thoughtful birthday cards and several gifts. We also prayed over her, blessing her in this next coming year of her life.

In November, Charity also had her oral surgery to remove her four wisdom teeth. They were deeply impacted below the level of the jawbone, so we are very thankful to the Lord that the operation was successful and that her recovery has gone very well.

More photos.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it.

One of our newest students is a young man in Kenya named Solomon, who came to Christ three years ago. He said, "I got born again after receiving a strong conviction from the Holy Ghost. I was so frustrated and unhappy, which I guess...was occasioned by the dreams I used to have of an angel forcing me to surrender my life to Jesus. Eventually one day in our Christian union service in high school, immediately after the sermon, the preacher led me and others in the words of confession and that was how I subscribed myself into life of salvation." Praise the Lord!

Solomon will begin our three-year training program on December 1st. He said, "I want to enroll in the DTS so that I may learn the mysteries of salvation and Christian teaching which will help me in my walk with Christ." Pray that his training with us will accomplish those goals and bear good fruit that will last.

Sister Sherri in Kenya
Another one of our students named Sherri, who moved back to Kenya from Lebanon a few months ago, has finally found a job to support herself and her son. It is a sales position and she is doing well with it. This is a major answer to prayer, which you have been a part of. As you probably recall, we have been requesting prayer for the Lord's provision of a job for her in our newsletters since she returned to her country last spring. Praise the Lord!

Elsewhere in Nigeria, another student named Deji testified in November to some answers to prayer with regard to his obtaining parental consent to begin courtship with a young lady in his church named Hannah. You may recall in our last newsletter, we reported that Len wrote an article called Finding a Marriage Partner, in response to his request for advice on that topic. Deji says that both sets of parents have given their written consent, so that he and Hannah can now begin their courtship. He had felt led to pursue her after seeking the Lord and receiving definite confirmations. Once he asked her to enter into the relationship and she prayed about it, she also received confirmation from the Lord*. He wrote:

"Dear brother Len, I want to bless the name of the Lord for making the Introduction/Parental consent program a success; my parents and my fiancee's parents have given their consents to our relationship. Praise the Lord!"

Brother Deji in Nigeria
He explained that in Nigeria, the parental consent/introduction is a two-day event or program. The intending groom visits the intending bride's family with gifts to make his intentions known, while the intending bride visits the groom's family on the second day.

He continued, "I also want to bless the name of the Lord for miraculously providing for the program; 24 hours before the program I didn't have a dime, but the Lord provided. In my own wisdom, what He provided won't be enough to meet my need and I was tempted not to honor the Lord with my tithe but by the grace of God I took out my tithe and committed the rest to the Lord. Guess what sir... The rest was enough to meet all my need, help someone with some money and even have left over! It was like the issue of two loaves of bread and five fishes that feed five thousand people. Praise the Lord. In Christ, Deji." Praise the Lord that Deji and Hannah have taken these godly steps toward courtship and received parental consent to move forward.

We also received a praise report in November from another one of our DTS students named Collete in Mali, who wrote:

Sister Collete in Mali
"Dear brother Leonard, I have several testimonies, but I will talk about my daughter Mariam. Here is the testimony: Mariam being from a Muslim background received Christ 4 years ago. After awhile she backslided and got worse. She became very rebellious and impossible to manage."

"Since I started the training [in the DTS], one of my focus prayers was for God to re-arrest her soul. It took prayers and fasting. As I am writing this she is my faithful prayer mate and my [Life Transformation Group] LTG partner. All glory be to the Lord. Remain blessed. Sister Collete." Praise the Lord for what He has done in her daughter Mariam's life.

Finally, another DTS student in Liberia named Tilia has successfully started a Life Transformation Group (LTG), and that is moving forward, so praise the Lord for that, too. There have been so many answers to prayer!

"Lord, You establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Note: This newsletter initially stated incorrectly that Deji's fiancee heard the audible voice of God. That is what he initially said she told him, but after publishing this newsletter, he said that when he spoke to her about it she clarified that she heard the inner voice of God, not the audible voice.

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Seeking Glory from God, Loving Deeply, and Christ the Beginning. Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh - November 2016. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the birthday Hope enjoyed with the family.
  2. For the new sales job that Sherri has begun working at in Kenya and that she is doing well with it.
  3. For Charity's successful oral surgery and recovery with no infection, dry sockets, or other complications.
  4. For the salvation testimony of Solomon in Kenya and his desire to train for discipleship in our DTS.
  5. For the parental consent for courtship that Deji and Hannah received, and the Lord's provision for it.
  6. For the radical change the Lord has brought about in Collete's daughter Mariam and that Collete has been able to start an LTG with her.
  7. For helping Tilia in Liberia to start an LTG.
  8. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  9. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  10. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For Solomon's DTS training to enable him to learn more about salvation and other Christian truths, and bear good fruit that will last.
  2. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners, particularly Jean Baptiste, David L., Mary, Willie, Emmanuel, Deji, and Nickeshia.
  3. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  4. For the Lord to water the seeds we have planted and bring conviction for guilt with regard to sin, righteousness, and the coming judgment in the hearts of those in whom we have planted seeds in our own community, as well as those who oppose us here.
  5. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  6. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  7. For the Lord to heal Len from chronic abdominal and lower back pain, and sciatic trouble.
  8. For the Lord to move mountains to raise up new faith partners, including those who would sponsor our students, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry -- as He releases a financial miracle.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

October Update 2016

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In October, we celebrated Jennifer's birthday. The girls baked a delicious, homemade, strawberry-rhubarb-apple crisp for her. She also received some very thoughtful and creative birthday cards and a prayer for blessing from the whole family.

During the summer, Len had given each of the children a chart to use for their Bible reading, which is included in his article called, Bible Reading Plan. Hope decided to make good use of the chart, and with great diligence she completed reading through the whole Bible in a period of about four months.

When Hurricane Matthew came through North Carolina, the Lord kept us safe and we had no damage. We only lost power for about sixteen hours, which was a minor inconvenience. We had also had a leaking rear door seal in our van replaced just in time, right before the heavy rains brought by the storm. Praise the Lord!

Charity's oral surgery to remove her wisdom teeth has been rescheduled to early November. Please pray that she will be in good health for it, that the procedure would go well, that she would have no infections, no adverse reactions to the drugs, and that any inflammation would be minimal and quickly reduced.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it.

Jean Baptiste
One of our DTS students in Rwanda, named Jean Baptiste (pictured left), wrote in September, "Dear Leonard, I am humbled to tell you that I am enjoying with DTS and sincerely is very interesting. May God bless you for this work. Jean Baptiste."

You may recall that we previously reported on one of our students named Emmanuel in Nigeria (pictured below), who had moved away from the city and was no longer living in a place that was connected to the electrical grid, so he had to suspend his studies with us temporarily. We had asked you to pray for him to get a stable power supply and we are delighted to report that he has now gotten connected to the electrical grid. He wrote in September, "Dear beloved Bro. Len, Praise the Lord with me. We have finally connected to the electricity grid and this happened last night...It was a trying time for me, but I thank God how he has made it possible...Thank you for your patience. God continue to bless you and your ministry. In Christ, Emmanuel." Praise the Lord for this answer to prayer. Consequently he elected to resume his training with us immediately.

We continue to receive positive feedback from readers around the world, who are benefiting from this ministry. After one pastor read Len's article, The Burning Ones, he wrote:

"I am a pastor from Malaysia. Your words are the very best on the 3rd baptism of fire. I am blessed to reread your postings again and again as well as seeking the Lord for other keys to this baptism of fire which will usher us into living continuously in the Holy of Holies, a fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles. Please share your thoughts on the above, if you have any. I will appreciate your response. Shalom, Andrew."

Monde in Germany
We mentioned last month that a South African theology student in Germany, named Monde (pictured left), has recently posted a translation of one of Len's articles in German. He commented that the Lord has used Len's articles to change his life. He said it began with the Lord transforming his sister's life, and then when he saw the radical change in her, it brought him back to Christ. Praise the Lord! He graduated in September after completing three years of theological university training. He and Len have been discussing and praying about opportunities for service in the kingdom.

On of our DTS students in Nigeria, named Deji (pictured below), recently began courting a woman in his church, and asked Len in September to write an article on the topic. He wrote, "Sir, many people do not have access to deep biblical teachings with respect to choosing a life partner, courtship and marriage. Would you please sir, by the grace and gifts of God in you, teach on this topic in your articles some time? What are mostly available are shallow teachings on these topics coated with little bit of worldliness here and there. If you have written on these topics, I personally want to read and learn from them."

Emmanuel and Deji
So in response to Deji's request, the Lord led Len to write an article about that topic called Finding a Marriage Partner. After reading the new article, Deji responded, "Dear brother Len, All glory be to God, this article is informative. Those who truly want to have a godly relationship will appreciate this. There are a lot of things that you revealed that I'm very sure Christians don't even know. For me, this is a good material that will benefit Christians singles. In Christ, Deji." All glory be to God!

Another brother commented after reading Len's article, called TGRM Issues and Concerns. He stated, "I refuse to join them [TGRM]. As a matter of fact I was in the proving all thing stage when I got a message on 'Whatsapp' to check your blog. Thanks for allowing God to collaborate what insinuations I have about them. God bless you."

Onor
Another brother in Cameroon, named Onor (pictured left), had also been following the TGRM movement up until Len sent him his article about them that we have cited above. Afterward Onor replied, "Greeting Bro.Len, This morning again, I deeply read your explanation you send to me. Sincerely bro. Len, I appreciate your godly kindness in enlightening me. Thanks so much. May the lord continue to bless you.I hereby again thank God bcuss your website of divine revelation had been a blessing to many. Courage to you. Onor." When Len asked if this was regarding the information about TGRM, he replied, "Yes, it's concerning TGRM and other things you are doing..." Praise the Lord for using the article to help people.

Meanwhile, we have been actively sharing Jesus locally, right here in the community. And as Paul said, "there are many who oppose me." (1 Cor 16:9b). Please pray that the Lord would water the seeds we have planted and bring conviction for guilt with regard to sin, righteousness, and the coming judgment in the hearts of those in whom we have planted seeds, as well as those who oppose us.

"Lord, You establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called As the Still, Fair Court, Led by the Spirit - Part I, Filled Up to All the Fullness of God, Heresies of C.S. Lewis, The Nature of Persecution, and The Persecution of the Saints. Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh - October 2016. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the birthday Jennifer enjoyed with the family.
  2. For the Lord's protection over us during Hurricane Matthew.
  3. For helping Emmanuel Moses get back on the electrical grid and resume his training in the DTS.
  4. For the way the Lord has used Len's articles to impact Monde's life and bring about transformation in him and his sister.
  5. For the way the Lord is using the TGRM article to help people realize the truth.
And for the Lord to help each one of them to find a discipleship partner to meet with.
  2. For the Lord to help sister Sherry in Kenya to find a job, and to provide for brother Deji in Nigeria.
  3. For the Lord to help all of our new DTS students to find LTG partners, particularly Jean Baptiste, Mary, Tilia, Willie, Colette, Emmanuel, David L., Theophilus, and Nickeshia.
  4. For the Lord to water the seeds we have planted and bring conviction for guilt with regard to sin, righteousness, and the coming judgment in the hearts of those in whom we have planted seeds in our own community, as well as those who oppose us here.
  5. For Charity to be in good health for her upcoming oral surgery, that the procedure would go well, that she would have no infections, no adverse reactions, no respiratory problems, and that any inflammation would be minimal and quickly reduced.
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  7. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  8. For the Lord to heal Len from lower spine and sciatic trouble, causing chronic pain.
  9. For the Lord to move mountains to raise up new faith partners, including those who would sponsor our students, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry -- as He releases a financial miracle.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

September Update 2016

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In August Charity wrote a lovely new poem, called "Fruit in Every Season" about the nine fruit of the Spirit that we should produce every month of the year. Len had previously shared a message on the topic, and suggested to her that this would be a good theme for a poem. She took it to heart and worked on it for three days. The Lord helped her to compose these beautiful lines, which we hope you will take a moment to read at the link above. Len's article by the same name as the poem is at Fruit in Every Season.

Speaking of Charity, she now needs to have four, impacted wisdom teeth extracted by an oral surgeon as soon as possible, since the teeth have no room to erupt. So we are praying for the Lord's provision for this major expense, which one doctor estimated to be over three thousand dollars. She also needs to get a retainer, which adds a couple hundred dollars more to the equation. God will provide. Please stand in agreement with us for God's supernatural provision for these needs.

Meanwhile Joseph is at the other end of the dental development spectrum, having just lost one of his two front teeth, when he bit into a piece of fruit. He is in the first grade now, and is doing well with his studies.

In September, the Lord protected Jennifer and Charity from nearly having a serious accident in the van. They were traveling home from shopping on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, in the heavy rains that were arriving ahead of Tropical Storm Hermine. While Jennifer was in the left lane attempting to overtake two vehicles, the lead vehicle began to speed up, so she slowed down. Suddenly the lead vehicle hydroplaned and spun around facing the car behind it, then it spun back around facing forward, and this process was repeated once or twice before the car hit the guardrail. Praise the Lord that the car did not hit her and that she and Charity were kept from possibly serious harm.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it.

Deji in Lagos, Nigeria
Brother Deji in Lagos Nigeria was one of our first students, who began training on September 1, 2015. We are pleased to report that he has just finished the first of his three years of training in our DTS. He is the first and only student to complete all four quarters of his first year. And at the end of August, he informed Len that he evangelized a Muslim brother who then gave his life to the Lord. Praise the Lord.

Last month we wrote to you about brother David O., one of our DTS students in Nigeria, who was accepted for admission to study Medicine and Surgery in the University of Jos, at Jos, Nigeria. Brother David O. actually completed his first quarter in our DTS before the August 31 deadline, while simultaneously taking his first semester at the medical school! Len spoke with him by phone in August on a three-way call with our former DMI president, Dr. Andrew Stenhouse. Dr. Stenhouse, who has retired from practicing medicine for over fifty years, was able to encourage brother David as he begins his studies in medical school. David was so grateful for the encouragement from Dr. Stenhouse.

Speaking of Dr. Stenhouse, Len also posted an article about how the Lord spoke to him in an audible voice when he was seventeen years old, calling him to be a medical doctor, which was not something he wanted to do at all. He had been studying to become a geologist. We encourage you to read the article about him called, The Voice That Changed Everything -- Testimony of Dr. Stenhouse.

Theophilus Ayodelle, MD., David Ogwuche, and David Loh
Brother David O. also shared about the DTS with another brother he knows in Jos, Nigeria, named brother David L., who is studying medicine in the Pharmacy school there. He has since been accepted for enrollment in our DTS and began his training with us on September 1.

In addition to David L., another one of our friends in Jos has enrolled in the DTS, a brother in Christ named Theophilus, who is a medical doctor working with the Nigerian military. Brothers David and Theophilus met together in person in August on the university campus and discussed the DTS. Brother Theophilus has since enrolled in the DTS and began this month.

Sister Nickeshia, one of our DTS students in Jamaica, has now been in training with us for one year. In September she commented in part, "Bro Len, The DTS had helped me tremendously even though I have not found an [Life Transformation Group] partner as of yet. Most of the information I have read, I never knew they have existed...If others don't want the truth, I will take it."

Likewise a brother in Christ in Nigeria wrote to Len in August saying, "Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised! I thank God for these wonderful revelations revealed by Him through His chosen vessels. They have really opened my eyes to see where I stand in the Lord and to retrace my steps. God is a loving God indeed! Hallelujah! Amen!"

Monde in Germany
A South African brother named Monde, who has been studying theology for three years at a private seminary near Bonn, Germany, has recently posted a translation of one of Len's articles in German, called Christliche Kleidung und Verschönerung.  He plans to translate more of Len's articles into German, which he will post as they are ready. He feels these messages are very important for the people of Germany, but especially for the African Immigrant communities in the German-speaking countries of Europe.

Another brother in Africa named Mugabo wrote a comment to Len after reading his article called Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit -- What's the Difference. He said, "Thank you so much, man of God. This is refreshing. For a long time I had not taken a step forward to learn more about the gifts and fruit of the Spirit until yesterday. Thank God He has made it possible by the power of His Spirit. I am surely blessed to know this. My heart is excited. God bless you richly."

Finally, as usual, Len sent out his monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh in September to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the USA in September.

"Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called The Wardrobe of the Saints, Fruit in Every Season, The Times of the Gentiles, Rhema vs. Logos – Is there truly a distinction in the word?, and The Voice That Changed Everything -- the Testimony of Dr. Stenhouse. Len's latest articles are available at Old News That's Still Fresh - September 2016. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For protecting Jennifer and Charity on the road from having a potentially serious accident.
  2. For helping brother Deji finish his first year of training in our Doulos Training School (DTS).
  3. For the salvation of the Muslim man that Deji led to Christ.
  4. For the encouragement that brother David O received from Andrew Stenhouse.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  7. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
