January Update -- 2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family:  By the grace of God, we are doing fine. Most of us battled a cold/flu during December and into January, but we are mostly recovered right now. We have a praise report regarding Charity, who has been having little to no neuropathy in her arm and wrist. Praise the Lord!

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in three nations including Uganda, Nigeria, and Kenya.

In early January we received the following email from David in Nigeria. You may recall that he completed his first two years in the DTS while at the same time studying in medical school. However, for quite some time now he has temporarily discontinued with his DTS training, and hopes to resume again sometime. Meanwhile he has continued to maintain his LTG with two other brothers who are also medical students. He wrote:

David (L) and Christian (R) in Nigeria
"Dear Bro Len,

Happy New year!

I hope you are and doing well with your family?

I want to testify to the glory of God for what He is doing through our LIFE TRANSFORMATION GROUP (LTG). Me, Andrew and Christian have a functional LTG here. The LTG has been a blessing to us.

I long to resume the DTS. Please pray along with me that God will give me the grace to be able to resume the DTS.

I will be grateful if you can be calling me on phone as often as you can.

Thanks you Brother Len, your ministry has been a blessing to me.

Send my greetings to your family.

Yours in Christ,

David"

More DTS Testimonies

Ibrahim and Cynthia in Kenya
Last month we mentioned that we had two more new students from Kenya enroll. A sister named Cynthia and a brother named Ibrahim both began their three years of training with us in December. Although we didn't have photos of them to post in time for the last update, their photos are included here this month as promised.

Sister Cynthia gave the following testimony in January:

Praise Jesus. Well am so glad to say that I have been blessed with a job after a long time of searching. I am so grateful for the Faith series that enabled me to increase Faith in Him .Thank You. God bless.

Brother Grace in Uganda (pictured below) testified:

"Dear brother Len,

I am so blessed to be part of DTS; Through it I have met practical teachings and testimonies that have changed my life for good! I am sure of attaining eternity after [leaving] this earthly tent. Please continue to pray for us, as I do the same.

Blessings"

Grace in Uganda (L) and Peter in Kenya (R)
Len received the following testimony in January from brother Peter in Kenya:

"This being a new year, we believe there's more to come and much to learn. Last month I couldn't present the epic story of my journey towards bliss and peace. But, let me begin by saying that I've really gotten new things and great lessons that have built my faith to another level. There's so much that have been revealed to my spirit, putting me to the edge!

Something...that came with much force, is in relation to knowing what God has for your life. God, truly knows us from the beginning to the end; as presented in the book of Jeremiah 1. That's why it's paramount to enquire of anything from God concerning our carriers, businesses, ministries, finances etc., and because He knows us better than we know ourselves.

May God bless you for the good work you are doing as we progress towards making disciples of all nations. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost."

Len sent out his monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh in January to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in the US, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia.

Although we are not based overseas any more, we are still missionaries and still need your financial and prayer support of our ministry. You may enjoy looking at this presentation of our ministry. Please pray and ask the Father if He would have you give.

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Divorcing the Devil, Anointed by the Holy Spirit, Rapture Dreams: Jesus is Coming Soon, and What Does it Mean to be a Hebrew?  Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh -- January 2020. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the healing that Charity has received.
  2. For providing sister Cynthia with employment.
  3. For what the Lord is doing in the lives of all our students, especially for the testimonies of Cynthia, Grace, and Peter.
  4. For what the Lord is doing in the lives of David, Andrew, and Christian in Jos, Nigeria.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  7. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to heal Jennifer from limited range of motion in her right arm, and for the Lord to heal Len of the same thing in his left shoulder, as well as from the pain.
  2. For the Lord to heal Faith and Len from eczema.
  3. For the Lord to give brother David in Nigeria the grace to be able to resume the DTS.
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group), and help them finish all their course work for the current quarter by the end of this month.
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  7. For the Lord to raise up new faith partners for this ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
