January Update -- 2022

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: By the grace of God we are doing well through the storms of life. Our oldest daughter Charity's asthma has not been bothering her for the past couple weeks, and neither has her wrist. She hasn't had any jaw pain lately, although she still experiences the cracking noise when she moves it. Thank you for your prayers, and praise the Lord for His healing touch. Len has been having very little pain in that tooth that was repaired, so again, thank you for your prayers for that. Faith has not found another job yet, but at least her employer is giving her a few more hours of work each week, which is better than before.

One of our board Members, Dave Wenrich, who had been very ill, is better now. We thank you for joining us in prayer for him last month.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in seven nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, India, and the United Kingdom.

In January, brother Stephen in Nigeria, who is a Second Year student, testified of a miracle that happened in the church that he pastors. He said he had a dream in September 2021 that a woman in her thirties would die, and that he would touch her head and she would be raised from the dead. Amazingly the dream was fulfilled on 13 October 2021. It happened like this: He was at the front of the church before the congregation, and everyone was facing him, so he was the only one who could see what happened next. A woman in her thirties was outside the back door of the church behind the congregation, when she suddenly collapsed and died. Brother Stephen walked right outside and touched her head, at which point she immediately sneezed and returned to life again. Brother Stephen states:

"And before the incident, early last year, she came to tell me that she graduated from high school ten years ago, but never got a job. I asked her if she would join me for fasting and prayers, which we did.  [Afterward] I faithfully told her that she will receive job (offers), [and be able to] decide which one to accept, before the end of 2021. To the Glory of God, she got a job one month after the prayers, and got another one December 24 2021. Now she has two jobs, one with the state government and the other one with the federal government. And she's one of my wife's LTG partners. Actually God is still working."

Praise the Lord! Brother Stephen also says the Lord has given him a vision to build a school for orphans, which he wants to call Kerygma Academy, and he asks for prayer to help him fulfill the vision. Kerygma is the Greek word in Scripture used to refer to the "proclamation" of the gospel.

Meanwhile, brother Pascal has a testimony about his understanding of God; it has changed from what he used to know into an extraordinary reality; he now shares the gospel of Jesus everyday, and his life is changing greatly. He says that for the first time ever he has found the best training! Glory to the King eternal who reigns forever and ever!

In December, Len received the following testimony from brother Henry in South Sudan.

"Dear bro Leonard,

I want to take this opportunity to thank God for the opportunity to be one of the DTS students, I have learnt a lot about discipleship, and my zeal for ministry has deeply increased, I started by forming the LTG group, I also developed other groups to create a platform to share the truth about the word of God, [using] the same knowledge I have received through my course, and I see many people getting interested in my classes, something that I didn't experience before. Currently I am also running a WhatsApp group called Christ the Foundation, where we share the Word of God.

I came to realize that [since] I joined DTS, my life has totally been shaped into a life of the gospel. [Previously] I had always developed fear in me, whenever I tried moving out to minister to people about Christ, but now I feel I have all I need to go out for evangelism; I can read the Bible and understand it clearly. All that am going through in my life is a new experience, and everything I see about myself is a testimony. I thank God for the founders of this school, and I pray that may the living God continue blessing you.

Best regards, Bro Henry"

After this testimony, brother Henry became seriously ill, but the Lord healed him. Praise the Lord!

Sister Christine in Uganda shared the following testimony in January:

"Dear Bro Len,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I want to take this opportunity to testify to what the Lord has done in my life in the DTS (currently I am in Second Year Third Quarter). In one of the subjects in Hamartiology II Course work, I have learnt that attachments to my hair are not biblical. It is indirectly telling God that I was not created well with my natural hair.

Also through DTS, the reality of eternity has gotten more real to me, that is heaven and hell. May the Lord's name be praised.

Thank you and God bless all DTS administrators.

Christine"

Sister Catherine in the UK shared the following testimony about one of the articles she read during her second quarter:

"Thank you for this awesome article, 'Your Identity in Christ.' There are so many wonderful scriptures about who we are in Christ, which gives me great confidence in our Lord and perseverance to be a stronger witness to the lost. I was an orphan, and I was fostered, but I had no identity and knew no love until I got to know Jesus our Lord.

I learned more of God's love by the 'Who am I?' card, I strongly recommend printing off the card and reading it every day and you will soon learn of the amazing love of God for us and gain confidence in God. The Lord showed me Romans 8: 14-17. I thank and praise our Lord for all his amazing love to us, and that we have an urgent message to tell the world with boldness and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in us.

Bless you all.
From Sister Catherine Hughes."

Praise the Lord! Sister Catherine also experienced a heavenly encounter with Jesus face-to-face in January, and He gave her an important and urgent message to bring back to the Church. Len posted that in an article called A Message from our Lord by Sister Catherine. Please don't miss it! She had also been experiencing pain in her stomach for several weeks, which the Lord has now healed miraculously in answer to prayer. She states that as she received prayer: "I could feel the heat on my stomach. I do believe our Lord has healed me, it's a wonderful  miracle. Thank and Praise our Lord." Amen.

Brother John in Uganda shared the following testimony in January:

"Greetings in Jesus' name!

I am greatly blessed to really understand the revelation of Jesus Christ in bodily form, not as religion has tried to picture Christ by the imagination of someone else acting as Jesus Christ while on this earth, as we watched in (Jesus film). The teaching I have gotten in DTS has changed my perspective and even added more honor to Glorious Jesus my Lord. Thank God for this DTS. It's changing lives. I am proud to be part of it. Glory be to God.

Bro John Matogo Babu (Uganda)"

Len received the following testimony from sister Rebecca in Uganda recently. She states:

"Praise the Lord Jesus!

I am glad to share my testimony with you of what the Lord has done.

The study of the word of God has increased my knowledge in Him, and each time I face tough moments, I get encouraged and comforted by the Scriptures.

*This is because the system DTS has given for us to study the word is very good (inhaling, breathing in) the Word.

*The course work is so rich with information that is equipping me for the work of ministry. As a counsellor, God has used me to help many couples and young people to consider the truth in any decision making, and to encourage the persecuted believers, especially those from Muslim background not to give up the faith.

-In my first LTG, my Partner Atyang Ketty had asked us to pray with her for God's provision. And after a period of time, God convicted someone to bless her with about 5 million ugandan shillings to start a business, which she's now doing as serves the Lord as well.

-In my second LTG, Jane Abiria, one of the partners, has been without a job for eight years. This was one of her prayer requests, and to the glory of God on 17th December 2021, she got a job with Plan International, as a teacher in one of the refugee settlements. She's a new believer in Christ and needs our prayers for her husband to be born again.

Glory be to God and thanks DTS for equipping us."

In December, Len received the following testimony from brother Martin in Uganda, who had been sick with malaria for a while:

"Hello Brother Len,

I give thanks to God because He connected me to brother Len through brother John Babu to have the opportunity of joining DTS. Not just that, but also brother Len introduced [us to the] LTG, which is always giving me and my LTG group full understanding of God through His Word.

To God the Glory!
Thanks
Brother Martin Kuku"

In December, Len received an amazing praise report from brother Grace in Uganda, in which he testified about seven divine healings that he has seen the Lord do in his ministry. Len has written an article about it called The Body Parts Storehouse in Heaven. This short testimony brings glory to God and will have you praising Him as you read it. It's one of many confirmations of the body parts storehouse in heaven that many people have seen there, including a sister in Christ from Indonesia named Elisabeth, whom Len wrote about recently.

In January, brother Grace and his wife Dina became very sick, but the Lord healed them in answer to prayer. Here is his praise report about that: "I want to give God the glory who has healed both me and my wife. I had a heartache [aching over the heart] and a serious fever. The day you prayed with us the Lord healed us; He is great and continues to be praised!" Praise the Lord for healing them!

Brother Max in Uganda wrote:

"Praise the Lord, brother Len!

DTS is a school that has added more practical morals into my life in terms of reading the the Scriptures daily. This has helped me to hear and receive guidance in my daily life from the Holy Spirit through meditation.

•Throughout my meetings with the LTG members, we have continued to grow as brothers more and more in helping each other both physically and spiritually, as we discuss with each other our answers to the five accountability questions.

•Lives are getting saved every week. And for those who are very serious, l have continued to form more LTG groups of men meeting together to learn to use the five accountability questions. I have even translated the five questions into local languages in hard copy format for those without phones who don't speak English as their first language, and it's helping them. Although by design none of the groups has any leader, yet every one of these men are benefitting from their participation in the groups.

•The reading of the course work and the videos are so helpful, and I am continuing well. Thanks to God for the DTS."

Moreover, brother Tom in Uganda applied with the Jesus Film Project and has been approved to receive a projector to use in showing the Jesus Film across northern Uganda. He will be required to show the Jesus Film fifty times a year using the projector in exchange for receiving the equipment for free. He will also need to submit quarterly reports to the Jesus Film Project with details of where the film was shown each time, when, how many were present, and how many people came to Christ. Praise the Lord that he has been approved for this grant.

Two of our students need to find new LTG partners. They are sister Dorcas in South Africa and brother Shadrach in Nigeria. Please pray that the Lord will quickly provide new partners for them.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in January to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Resources: We would like to remind you that Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the healing that Charity has received.
  2. For all the amazing testimonies given by each of our DTS students.
  3. For the way He is multiplying disciples through our students.
  4. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to help Faith find another job since she is not getting enough hours at her new one.
  2. For the Lord to heal Faith and Len from eczema.
  3. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students in the hardships they're experiencing, especially those in dire need in Uganda.
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group), and help them finish all their course work for the current quarter by the end of this month.
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  7. For the Lord to raise up new faith partners, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
