December Update 2015

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: On Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful meal, which the Lord provided, and which Jennifer made with some help from the children. We took time to pray and give thanks to the Lord for His manifold blessings in our lives, and the children enjoyed a break off from school. In December, the children have continued with their home schooling, and are enjoying mild weather, which on some days has been just like summer and other days like fall or spring. Today for example, it's a clear, sunny day in the seventies, and we are thankful to God for it.

Thanksgiving Dinner
Charity wrote a couple of new poems. One was God-Given Rest. The other was Full of His Goodness, which she read to the whole family on Thanksgiving. She also posted some new artwork, which is listed on A Brush with Life on the
Recent Artwork page.

The children have also been continuing to share with their friends about the Lord, playing games with them that bring glory to God, and inviting them to Church services in our home. In our services, we continue to see the Lord's hand guiding us, as the Holy Spirit ministers through each member of the Body.

We received the mattress sets for the whole family to replace the air mattresses we've been using for a few months, as well as a bunk bed for the boys, which they are enjoying. There was an issue with Joseph's mattress that required them to order another one, so we are awaiting it. But everyone is off the floor now, so we are thankful for that.

Ministry: We now have three new students enrolled in our Doulos Training School (DTS), which brings our total enrollment to five students. The new students are Onor from Cameroon, Africa; Richmond from Liberia, Africa; and Emmanuel from Nigeria, Africa. These students now join Deji from Nigeria and Nikeshia from Jamaica in our DTS. Praise the Lord!

Deji was baptized in water this month. He wrote: "Thank God for what He has done. Thank God I have been baptised. The devil didn't want that to happen but the Lord prevailed as always. I was baptised with some other brethren after worship yesterday. For me, I believe its another step that will usher in more of God on my life. I'm happy! In Christ, Deji." Praise the Lord! Please pray for direction and employment for Deji, as he is still unemployed.

Nickeshia in Jamaica needs a laptop, so that she can conduct her studies properly, rather than reading the DTS coursework from her phone. Please pray that the Lord would provide that for her.

Richmond, who is an evangelist with a preaching ministry in Liberia, wrote an encouraging note one week after he started his studies in the DTS saying, "Hi brother Len, I enjoy the lessons for the first quarter, because I have gone through many of them. Your writings are powerful and good. To God be the glory...God bless you."

Emmanuel Moses, Nigeria
Emmanuel, another one of our new students, shared a brief testimony with Len. He said, "My first conversion took place in 1998. I went back to the world, living a double life until I had no other option. My coming back to God was divine providence, from a health issue to realizing how worthless man’s life is. I came to the Lord early this year but my sanctification experience took place...on 11th Nov, 2015. Ever since, I stopped living for self and started living for my Lord Jesus. All of Jesus, none of self."

He is very happy to begin in our discipleship program and is eager to evangelize. Since he is located in the same city where Deji lives in Nigeria, we anticipate that those two brothers may be working together in the vineyard. Let's pray to that end.

The Lord continues to use our online Christian literature ministry worldwide.  Len also continues to get encouraging feedback from those who are benefiting from it. One reader in Germany has asked to translate and publish Len's articles into the German language, so that people in that country may benefit from them. He said that teachings, such as the one's Len is posting in his articles, are missing there and much needed. His comment was:

"Hallo Len, I am a South African student studying at a Bible Seminary in Bonn, Germany. My sister and I have been greatly blessed by your ministry and I am convinced that many many more should be able to glean from it in their own language. Would it be okay for you if I translated (and had translated) some of the articles from Eternal Destinations for my friends and brethren in the Christ to see? That would be a huge service to the Church in Germany...Would that be fine by you? I would greatly appreciate it (and I am sure a lot of other people). You will be credited in all of this of course and all will be linked to your pages. Much love and regards, Monde."

Another reader, named Carlos, commented, "Hello, brother Len...it's a huge blessing for me to have found your blog. It has helped me greatly in my Christian walk, praise the Lord...God bless!"

Another reader in Beirut, Lebanon, named Sherry, contacted us for help on a personal matter, and she plans to enroll in the DTS this coming spring, once she is back in her home country of Kenya. She has a burden to evangelize the rural villages in her home country.

Another reader in Zimbabwe, named Magline, contacted us saying that she got saved through this ministry. She was asking for help with some personal matters that she is going through, so we have been serving her as well.

Joseph Mshana, Tanzania
Another reader, named Joseph, from Tanzania, Africa wrote to Len in December, asking for electronic copies of all his articles, which he has already been using to spread the gospel to others there in his country. After Len replied to him, Joseph responded in part by saying:

"Praise the Lord, dear brethren! First of all, I thank God for everything. Secondly, I thank you for your kind response. In Africa, I live in Tanzania, Tabora. I' m still a student, pursuing advanced level ( A-level ) education, currently in another region (Iringa). For now, I' m spending my holiday at home, Tabora."

"Since I came across this blog, I've been eager and thirsty to know the Lord God, more and more (Job 22:21). I've read several testimonies, and other fewer articles (like, 'Holy Living in a Perverted World')...Since then, I've been informing others / letting others know about 'these things', through email, social networks and mostly through 'hard copy distribution'. Most of the times, I've been unable to access the Internet, due to various economic and geographical reasons. That's why I decided to deal with hard copies. Even now, I still prefer the articles in hard copies, because I can easily share with anyone, at anytime. For instance, at school, it' s been possible to reach many students, with the articles. By the way, the use of electronic devices such as phones, is strictly prohibited in our school, and many other schools. Sometimes, I send several articles, especially the testimonies, to my fellows in other neighboring schools, within the region."

"Apart from that, I'm still seeking the Lord, so that I do his perfect will in my life, through continuous reading of the Bible and meditation, prayers and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. I've been going through a hard moment, as the Holy Spirit reveals to me that 'The Church' s condition is deteriorating, as time passes by.' I've been praying and still praying for revival in the Church. The Holy Spirit is still teaching me a lot though."

"About the articles, it's hard to describe, but I really wanted to get all of them, if that were possible...May God bless you. Yours servant of God, Joseph." We give God all the glory for what He is doing in this brother's life in Tanzania through our ministry. Praise the Lord! Please pray that the Lord would help him to be faithful.

You may remember that last month we updated you on the progress of another brother named Carl, the man who received deliverance from demons and persistent thoughts that he had blasphemed the Holy Spirit. Well, he wrote to Len in early December saying, "Hi Len. I wanted to give you a tremendous update on how I am doing. I don't know if the Mushalla sisters told you. But since we have last talked, the Lord has been doing a great work in me. This past Sunday I was baptized with the Holy Spirit. I cried out to the Lord in tongues and I'm doing much better. I just wanted to let you know I am doing fine." Praise the Lord! To God be all the glory! Carl specifically asked if I would post this in our newsletter, so that those who've been praying for him would know of his progress.

Another demonized person in the States named Kyle contacted us a couple months ago, and we have been ministering to him. After receiving ministry, he still believes there are more demons remaining, which refuse to go. Please pray for Kyle to be completely delivered from evil.

Len continues to produce his monthly publication, Old News That's Still Fresh, containing his latest articles, which he sends out to pastors, elders, and laborers across the world, as well as here in the States. In December, he received some encouraging feedback on it from a dear friend, who is an elder here in the States in the southern Midwest. We give God all the glory for the things He has done.

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." (Gal 6:14)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Holding Fast the Faithful Word, Praying for the Lord Jesus, Is it Always a Sin to Not Tell the Truth?, and Exposing Heresy. All of Len's latest articles are available at Old News That's Still Fresh - December 2015. Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help operating the Doulos Training School (DTS), for the new students that have enrolled, as well as for the progress they are making.
  2. For the enrollment into the DTS of our newest disciples, Richmond, Onor, and Emmanuel.
  3. For Deji's water baptism.
  4. For bringing about victory in the life of our friend, Carl, and baptizing him with the Holy Spirit.
  5. For the opportunities the Lord has given us to be a witness to people along the way.
  6. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  7. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to heal Len from lower spine and sciatic trouble, causing chronic pain.
  2. For the Lord to assist us with the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who make disciples, resulting in multiplication for His glory. And special blessings upon the disciples, as they study to show themselves approved.
  3. For the Lord to provide Nickeshia with a laptop for her DTS studies.
  4. For the Lord to deliver Kyle from evil.
  5. For the Lord to place military people in our path who are ready for the gospel, and who will later be used by the Lord to reach many others for Christ here and in the uttermost parts of the earth.
  6.  For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for Len, and that He would help Len by opening doors for ministry and giving him courage, that whenever he speaks, words may be given him so that he will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.
  7. For the Lord to send his angels with Len’s messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  8. For the Lord to continue to raise up new faith partners, and to provide for us, including all the furniture we need.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs

November Update 2015

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In November we celebrated Hope's fifteenth birthday. As usual we celebrated with a small party, including homemade cake, gifts, and cards. We praise God for another year of her life, and the growth He has brought about in her.

Although we had quite a bit of rain, we have also had some beautiful, unseasonably warm fall weather. Praise the Lord! The grass is still green and the leaves are around peak foliage, but there have still been enough falling to give the children something to rake up.

We have also ordered mattress sets for the whole family to replace the air mattresses we've been using for a few months, as well as a bunk bed for the boys.

More photos.

Ministry: Deji, one of the students currently enrolled in the Doulos Training School (DTS), has recently received the baptism with the Holy Spirit, which he had been praying for. Praise the Lord! Len has been spending time teaching him, whenever he has questions. Please remember Deji and Nickeshia as you pray for the DTS.

We also have at least one new student enrolled in the DTS, named Richmond King, from Liberia, Africa, who will begin on December 1. We wrote about him last month, and Len has since posted Richmond's testimony online, called The Spiritual Awakening of Richmond King. Please take a look at his amazing testimony.  Thank the Lord for what He has done in Richmond's life.

The Lord continues to use our online Christian literature ministry worldwide.  Len also continues to get encouraging feedback from those who are benefiting from it.

For example, Len received a comment on Rachael Mushala's Testimony of Hell from a brother in the Netherlands, named Jan, who said, "Hello Len, I'm glad I came across this site and read the testimony...Thank you so much Len, for this website and the posts, and thank you, Rachael Mushala for sharing your testimony. My heart is excited to learn and grow to know the truth!"

A sister named Magline wrote to Len saying, "Hi Len, thank you for the good job you are doing for us to repent. I really thank the Lord God for having you, because I no longer live a worldly life like I used to do. Keep on sharing the Word with us."

In fact, we even received an encouraging email from the pastor of a large church in India, which is considered to be the world's fastest growing church. It is also the third largest church in the world with over 130,000 members, but we had never heard of it before or had any contact with this pastor. He had read Len's article, Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit: What's the Difference?, and said, "I did read this article and I was blessed. It is very balanced and bible based. I truly appreciate what you are doing for the Lord." We thank God and praise Him for what He has done. He deserves all the glory, all the praise, and all the honor for the way that lives have been touched.

Len continues to produce his monthly publication, Old News That's Still Fresh, containing his latest articles, which he sends out to pastors, elders, and laborers across the world, as well as here in the States.

Lastly, we want to give God the praise for what He has done in Carl's life. This was the man who contacted us in September, who we originally identified as "1lord1god jesus4life", and who was suicidal. We reported that we ministered deliverance to him by phone in October on two occasions, and that he later attacked Len verbally. Well we are pleased to report that he has reconciled with Len.  But more importantly, God has been at work in his life in a wonderful way since we last spoke to him a month ago.

Carl has gotten involved in a Bible study and realizes he must not take his own life. He said that instead of praying for five minutes before going to bed, he now prays for an hour. And instead of being what he called a "zip reader" of the Bible, he now reads it carefully to understand it. He says he reads the same passage twice each day, both in the morning and again at night. He practices meditating on the Word now. And he has learned to command the demons to go in the name of Jesus Christ, which is bringing greater victory in his life. He sounded much better, although he still has battles with the demons from time to time.

He said that he got a job at a local Christian bookstore, where he enjoys the presence of the Lord while he works. He works behind the register and greets people at the door. He also prays for people who need prayer.  He said he is not depressed and not unhappy any more.

He and Len prayed together on the phone, and when Len prayed for him, Len got the verse from Romans 16:20, "The God of peace will soon crush satan underneath your feet." Afterward, Carl said that this was the very same verse the Lord had spoken to his heart personally a couple weeks ago. He said that after the Lord had spoken that to him, he had to go to the Bible to find it and make sure it was not the enemy saying that him. When he found it in Romans 16:20, then he knew the Lord had really spoken to him. And when Len got that verse for him, it encouraged him to know that he is actually hearing from God.

This is a man who was previously convinced that he had blasphemed the Holy Spirit and who thought there was no hope left for him. He says that the Lord used the article, False Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, to help him overcome the enemy's lies. Through the article, he was able to see that he was not the only one experiencing this problem. And in addition to contacting Len, he was able to correspond with the Mushala sisters, who had also experienced this same issue at one time. They also were very helpful to him, praying for him and counseling him. So the Lord has done a great work in his life and we give God all the glory! Praise the Lord. Please do pray for him though as the Lord leads, because at times, he still comes under attack and reverts back to thinking he has committed the unforgivable sin.

For all of these things, we give God all the glory and the honor and the praise for what He has done.

"Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

  3. For the Lord to help Carl to consistently walk in victory over the enemy.
  4. For the Lord to place military people in our path who are ready for the gospel, and who will later be used by the Lord to reach many others for Christ here and in the uttermost parts of the earth.
  5.  For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for Len, and that He would help Len by opening doors for ministry and giving him courage, that whenever he speaks, words may be given him so that he will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.

October Update 2015

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: Seven years ago today we were arriving in Hungary from America. We remember it well, and today we spent some time reflecting back on the Lord's wonderful provision that made our arrival there possible. Many of you were a part of that, and we're very grateful, especially for those who have been faithful all these years. Many prayed, others gave, and others even helped us get to the airport. One sister actually went over with us to help us through the airports and get settled into the mission field for the first couple weeks! It was all a great example of God's Supernatural Provision Using People. Our hosts met us at the airport in Hungary, and the Lord provided beautiful weather for our arrival and our first five weeks there (much like it is here today). God is so good! We give Him the praise. If you want to go back and view our first newsletter after arriving on the field, you can see it here, November Update 2008.

Jennifer
In October we celebrated Jennifer's birthday. This was the first year in which the girls baked her a cake, which was a delicious, deep-dish, carrot cake. The only thing Jennifer made was the icing, but the rest was all done by Charity and Faith. The Lord also blessed her with a beautiful, blue-sky day around eighty degrees. It was a glorious day! She had a wonderful little birthday party, at which she received some presents, cards, prayer for blessings, and lots of love.

Also in October, Faith and Hope went to hand out tracts in the neighborhood and evangelize. They shared the gospel with two twin girls, who gave their lives to the Lord Jesus afterward. Praise the Lord!

Joseph has been doing well in kindergarten, and has made progress with his reading. He received a new children's Bible and can read some of the short stories himself. He has also memorized Psalm 23 in the King James Version. Praise the Lord for his progress.

Last month we reported that our oven had stopped working. We are happy to report that after more than three weeks without an oven, we finally got a new one, which the landlord paid for. Praise the Lord. You don't realize how important an oven is until you go without one for an extended period.

Len
We also mentioned previously that our van had an oil leak from an unknown source, which needed to be fixed. Thank the Lord we managed to get that done, although it was very expensive.  We forgave the original mechanic who had supposedly fixed the leak last year, and we found a new mechanic to redo the job all over again. It seems to have taken care of the issue. Then we had an expensive coolant leak almost immediately after that was repaired, so we got that fixed as well. Praise the Lord! Two different shops also told us that we need some new tires, so we have shopped out a set and are planning to get that done soon, Lord willing.

We have also been shopping for mattress sets for the family, to replace the air mattresses we've been using since May.  We have found some that we think are reasonably priced and might work, and actually bought one twin size set to test it out, before we commit to a houseful of them. Meanwhile we have been praying for the Lord to provide for all these major expenses. He is faithful and will do it.

More photos.

Ministry: We have received positive feedback from the two students enrolled in our discipleship training online called the Doulos Training School (DTS), a three-year, distance education school intended for those who desire to become a disciple that makes disciples. Len has been spending time teaching them, whenever they have questions.

Nickeshia in Jamaica commented, "I am learning more and more and I am loving it...I try to follow the Word because there should be a difference in us as believers. I use to do a lot of research but this one is structured."

"Deji"
Deji in Nigeria commented, "I'm learning more about those things about God that I was ignorant of, just few lessons into this program. I'm grateful!" We had previously reported that he was hired by a company to work in his field of soil science. However, he walked away from that job soon after he began, once he discovered they were requiring him to work on the Lord's Day. That was a real step of faith on his part, wanting to please God above all else. Pray that the Lord would supply all his needs and that he will find new employment.

Please remember Deji and Nickeshia as you pray for the DTS.

Last month we mentioned an anonymous reader commenting on an article Len had written, claimed to be hearing demonic voices, who were saying blasphemous things about the Lord Jesus, and goading him or her to commit suicide. This person was clearly under a major demonic attack. When he decided to contact Len, one of the demons tried to stop it from happening. But they were not successful. He called us and we ministered deliverance to him by phone. Results were positive immediately afterward and the next day, and we had a second call with him two nights later that seemed to go well. But then in the next two days afterward, he turned and attacked Len with false accusations and slander. We learned later that he had contacted two sisters we know in Zambia and followed the same pattern with them, eventually ending with his attacking them, too. Please pray for the Lord to rescue us from every evil attack.

"The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (2 Tim 4:18)

The Lord continues to use our online Christian literature ministry worldwide.  Len also continues to get encouraging feedback from those who are benefiting from it.

Richmond King
For example, Len received a note from a brother in Liberia, who also indicated that he would like to enroll in our discipleship training school, beginning in December. He commented on Len's article, Sins That Will Keep You From Heaven, saying, "Hi bro Len, I am glad for most of your post especially the define revelation. I hope the Lord bless and strengthen you for the great day of the rapture. I will be glad to see [you] in heaven, brother. The reason I admire your post is because I hardly see people in the West giving the whole counsel of God especially inward and outward holiness. I hope we could be good friends. I am black from Africa, Liberia precisely, and an evangelist by calling."

He later stated in an email: "Hi bro Len, I am so glad to received a reply from you, brother. I have been following the website for months now and I am happy that you teach inward and outward holiness. Bro, Len, we will endure many persecution to enter the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22). Everyone one of us who stand for truth and godliness will endure persecution ( 2 Tim 3:12). I normally evangelize the lost and I am greatly persecuted for the truth. Our Christian organization meetings are not really well-attended, because people hate the truth, but we maintain that we will not lower the standard of God. Bro Len, I am glad to be a part of Doulos Training School, because I know you stand for truth. Extend my greetings to your family.  Yours truly, Richmond, your brother in Christ."

Onor Wildrop
A Christian author in Cameroon, named Onor Wildrop, wrote to Len saying, "Dear Len Lacroix, I have been blessed and edified by your effort in publishing divine revelations. I am based in Cameroon and a lover of the Lord." In another email he said, "Keep up, bro, for your ministry in Christ, especially your online publication of divine encounters as well as biblical teaching. Souls are repenting and are coming back to the FATHER." And yet another time wrote, "May the Lord Jesus bless you and your family. May HE help us to make heaven. I really love the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Holiness has started its work in me via your publication. Greet your family. I love you all. Onor Wildrop."

One sister in Minnesota wrote: "Hello, brother Len, I just wanted you to know that I shared your blog, You Must Be Born Again, with a fellow bus driver and he thanked me. He was glad to see such a subject written about specifically, the way you narrowed it down to that specific subject. In fact, he said he would read it two or three more times, and I gave him your websites to study further."

A brother in Christ in California commented, "I find the Eternal Destinations blog helpful. Thank you."

Faith and Hope
A sister in Christ, in California commented, "Dear Len, Thank you for creating such a website. I have been praying for Our Father to reveal the truth in all things... And was lead to your site...Thank you!" And she added later, "I've made so many changes to how I live my life, and am closer to God now because of it."

Another sister in Christ commented on one of Len's articles saying, "Len, may the grace and strength from our Lord Jesus Christ be unto you unceasingly, Amen...Your website has really helped to strengthen some of us, who choose to remain on the ancient path of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you."

For all of these things, we give God all the glory and the honor and the praise for what He has done.

"Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called You Must Be Born Again, Rescue Souls!, Pleasing the Lord, Living a Life Worthy of the Lord, and Crucified with Christ. September Update 2015

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: By the grace of God, we are doing well overall. In September, the children returned to home school and are making a smooth transition back into their studies.  Joseph is in kindergarten now and is really enjoying being in school like everyone else.

In August, Hope awoke one morning with a desire to write a poem about the cross. Then she decided that she wanted to try and also cover the topic of cross-bearing. So that day she wrote an acrostic poem called Cross Bearing, which we have now posted on Verses to the King.

In September we went for a little picnic at a local park, which was fun.

We are currently still experiencing engine oil leaks in our van, which have recently gotten worse. We are praying and asking God to solve this issue, as the mechanic who previously worked on it is an hour from here, is booked solid for the next five weeks before he could see us; and up until now he has not been willing to accept responsibility for the leaking seal. We may need to just get it done some place locally, but we have gotten different opinions from different mechanics about what part of the engine exactly is leaking. So it is difficult to know how to proceed, but the Lord will guide us and provide for us as we pray.

Ministry: We continue to reach out to our neighbors as the Lord gives opportunity. One of them was a neighbor we called "Jim" in our last newsletter, who is a Freemason.  He visited with Len for a couple hours one evening and listened to the gospel. Len left him with some material to read that exposes the satanic nature of the masons, and he promised to read it, as well as discuss it afterward. However, since then there seems to be a change in the relationship, and no follow up discussion has happened yet. Pray that the Lord would reveal the Truth of the gospel to "Jim", that he would be truly born again, and that he would realize the evil of the brotherhood he is part of.

In our update last month, we mentioned a brother, named Lusindiso, in Capetown, SA, who has been sharing Len's articles with his pastor. The pastor in turn has given him the task of distributing the messages to various groups in the church. Lusindiso has been experiencing spiritual warfare against himself and his wife as a result of his efforts. Please pray for the Lord to rescue them from every evil attack.

Brother Lusindiso says the pastor is now having him translate my articles into the Xhosa language, which is the primary language of the United in Christ Ministries he belongs to. So he is translating them and reading them to the Church members on Sundays at the pastor's request.

Len also spoke to the pastor of the church brother Lusindiso attends. She is a woman named Nontsikelelo Blessing Dondashe, who told Len she had thought she was a Christian, but when she began to read his messages, she realized she wasn’t even saved, so she repented. Now she is doing everything the Lord shows her that she must do. She is making sure the people in the Church get the messages. But she is also distributing them in hard copy to local pastors and elders of other Churches. She does not know if they will receive the messages, since some of them aren’t even saved, but she at least wants to get the messages into their hands, so they have an opportunity to make a decision.

Her approach is to tell them, “Read the papers, then call me and we can pray about it." She also distributes them to school teachers as well, since they are in front of students and must also know what God requires. She was praising God for what He has been doing through these messages, and she invited Len to come to Capetown to hold meetings and teach. She said that she would work very hard to organize it, and she would invite other Churches to attend the meetings she would organize, so that they could receive this teaching from God. She says she wants to see revival come to that area, and she believes that if Len comes, the Lord will provide for all the expenses. Len made it very clear to her that he would have to pray about that and hear from the Lord whether it is His will for him to go there.

"Deji"
We mentioned last month that Doulos Missions International now offers discipleship training online through the Doulos Training School (DTS), a three-year, online, distance education school.  It is an international school for adult students in every nation on earth, and is intended for those who desire to become a disciple that makes disciples. First quarter began on September 1.

We have two students enrolled, one of whom is a man in Nigeria named Deji (pronounced like "cagey"), whom we have mentioned before, and the other is a woman in Jamaica named Nickeshia. We also have one student in Minnesota auditing the courses. By way of correction, last month we said we had students (plural) enrolled, but we only had one enrolled at the time. Perhaps the draft newsletter was written with that as a placeholder, and it did not get updated before it was published.

You may recall that Deji recently earned a Master's degree in Soil Science.  And the Lord has recently blessed him with a job as well.  He testified about how he came to know the Lord saying that he grew up in a Christian family, and was involved in many youth activities, but he didn't know the Lord at all. He said, "I was very ungodly in my thought, ways and speech. Everything about me was of the world, yet I was a regular attendee in church. The funny thing was that people could not discern who I was, especially people in church. I lived a very reckless and dirty life until December 1, 2012 when a sister narrated a dream she had concerning herself, myself and one other sister in the church. It was a clear warning from the Lord! I was so scared and turned to the Lord."

Afterward, he returned to his studies on campus in 2013, and due to bad company he chose for friends, he gradually backslid right back into the world, until his condition was worse than it had been before he had gotten saved. He continued on that reckless path until September 2014, when he was visiting his parents, and heard a sermon on his sister's phone that brought the conviction of the Holy Spirit to his heart.

He said, "I realized how far away I had turned from God. I felt touched and knelt down to turn from my wicked ways and ask the Lord Jesus into my life. I started reading the Bible and praying more. I started getting into more of the things of the Lord Jesus, I started going out on evangelism and everyone began to notice a 'new Deji'.  Since March 15 this year, I started stumbling on some articles and videos about God's requirements on holiness, which awakened me to the fact that many Christians and myself have been very careless about our faith. This experience made me thirsty to know more about the Lord, what he has revealed about Himself in His word, and to be equipped for the work of God. In attending DTS, I believe that I will know more of the Lord until I give all of myself to Him."

Our other student, sister Nickeshia in Jamaica is a married mother of two children. She is a trained school teacher for primary and elementary levels, which she has been teaching for the past fourteen years, but now she has been teaching special education students. Please visit the DTS online at Doulos Training School to find out more about how you or someone you know can participate. Please also pray for this new aspect of our ministry, especially that the Lord would develop through it many disciples who make disciples, resulting in multiplication for His glory. Please remember Deji and Nickeshia as you pray for the DTS.

You may recall we previously mentioned in our newsletter a reader, named Gino from Australia, who has been corresponding with Len personally during the month of August. He and Len have continued to correspond since then, including on Skype once, and Gino has shared his salvation testimony about how he turned to Christ from atheism. Len wrote an article about it called An Atheist Turns to Christ, which is very encouraging. In that testimony, Gino talks about how the Lord used Len's blogs in his growth as a disciple of Christ, and we give God all the glory for that. Praise the Lord!

Len has already shared his article of Gino's testimony with an Australian atheist now living in South Korea, who was also raised Catholic like Gino was. This atheist's name is Peter, and so far he shows no openness to the gospel. Please pray that he will come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

The Lord continues to use the online Christian literature ministry worldwide.  Len also continues to get encouraging feedback from those who are benefiting from it.  One brother in Uganda, named Alex, contacted Len for advice and prayer about a very complicated and difficult trial he is experiencing domestically.  Len responded to him, and he replied gratefully. "Dear Len, thank you very much for the suggestions and guidance.  I must say that I have already learnt quite a lot through you and your writings.  You have so much material which is very educative about the Word of God and applicable to the current times.  I thank the Lord for using you and letting me come across your site." Alex has given us permission to share his need for prayer. Please pray for Alex that the Lord would bring deliverance from evil to his wife, show him what he should do in this situation, and would heal his son from seizures.

One anonymous reader commenting on an article Len had written, claimed to be hearing demonic voices, who were saying blasphemous things about the Lord Jesus, and goading him or her to commit suicide. This person, who only identified himself or herself as "1lord1god jesus4life", is clearly under a major demonic attack. He or she said, "I just hate life and wish to die." Please pray for "1lord1god jesus4life" to receive deliverance from evil.

Another project Len has been working on has been exposing a dangerous and destructive cult in South Korea.  That same Australian atheist we've mentioned, named Peter, brought to Len's attention recently that members of a cult based in Seoul, Korea, where he lives, produced the Trip to Hell video Len had written about. Due to his own roommate and most of his students at one time getting involved in the cult, he has seen it first-hand and through his extensive research become a subject matter expert. Len has since done his own extensive research and written an article about it, called Exposing the JMS Cult.  Although Len has been reaching out to two people within the cult that he has previously had contact with, he has not yet been successful in getting them to come out of the group. One of them is a lady in South Korea, named Hwa, who is in complete denial of the information he presented to her about the cult, and the other is a pastor in California named David, who is so far not responding to Len's attempts to reach him.

Finally, concerning the advice we received that we should publicize the prophetic message from brother Gabriel in Togo, and our decision to publish it last month, Len decided a day or two afterward to remove it from the newsletter and did so.

"Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest the following articles Len has recently written called The Son of Man, Holy Washings - Part I, Holy Washings - Part II, Read the Bible for All Its Worth!, The Sin of Silence, The Witness of the Spirit, Judging with Righteous Judgment, Exposing the JMS Cult, An Atheist Turns to Christ, and The Evil Spirit of Alcohol. All of Len's latest articles are available at Old News That's Still Fresh - September 2015. Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the end of summer picnic we had at the park and the successful return to home school.
  2. For the new people we are meeting in the community and the relationships we are building.
  3. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help operating the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as the students who have already enrolled.
  4. For the opportunities the Lord has given us to be a witness to people along the way, including the opportunity Len had to share Jesus with "Jim" the Freemason.
  5. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  6. For the words of encouragement we have received from people.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to assist us with the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who make disciples, resulting in multiplication for His glory. And special blessings upon Deji and Nickeshia as they study to show themselves approved.
  2. For the Lord to help Alex in Uganda by bringing deliverance to his wife, showing him what he should do in this situation, and healing his son from seizures.
  3. For the Lord to help Lusindiso, in Capetown, SA, as he shares the messages and for victory in the spiritual battles.
  4. For the Lord to bring Peter the Australian atheist into the kingdom of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  5. For the Lord to reveal the Truth to "Jim" the Freemason, and move him out of his comfort zone.
  6. For the Lord to grant "1lord1god jesus4life" deliverance from evil, especially the spirit of suicide.
  7. For the Lord to place military people in our path who are ready for the gospel, and who will later be used by the Lord to reach many others for Christ here and in the uttermost parts of the earth.
  8.  For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for Len, and that He would help Len by opening doors for ministry and giving him courage, that whenever he speaks, words may be given him so that he will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.
  9. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  10. For the Lord to continue to raise up new faith partners, and to provide for us, including all the furniture we need.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs

August Update 2015

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: By the grace of God, we are all doing well. In July, we took a trip to the zoo and enjoyed an afternoon there together.

The children continue to enjoy their friends here and another one of them gave his life to Jesus in early August, as Faith shared with him.  This time it was a young, four-year old boy, whom we will call "Tim". Pray that he will grow in the love and knowledge of the Lord as he walks out his decision.

Charity has been making very good use of her acrylic oil paints that she received for her seventeenth birthday in June. She has been watching some art lessons by video online, and she's been applying what she's learned very well. We're very pleased with her progress.  We've posted these online at the Recent Artwork page on A Brush with Life, if you would like to see them. She has also been writing more new poems, which are excellent. For example, there's Compassion for the Lost and God's Eternal Ways. These have been posted on Verses to the King, if you would like to read them.

In August we also celebrated Faith's thirteenth birthday with a small party at home. We all enjoyed some warm, moist, homemade gingerbread cake, prayed for her, and she received a couple of gifts and some cards. The Lord blessed her with a beautiful, sunny day for the party, as well. Please join us in praying that the Lord would bless her in this next year of her life with joy, peace, and even greater fruitfulness for Him than she has already experienced thus far.

Hope diligently completed her free typing course online, and she's made some progress with her typing skills. She can now type without looking at the keyboard for the most part, and although she is not very fast yet, it is an improvement over her previous hunt and peck method.

Ministry: We have continued to meet more of our neighbors, and the Lord has given us opportunities to share Jesus with some of them. As you would expect, generally speaking they are mostly military servicemen, or their spouse is, or they are retired military. One neighbor who is a soldier, serving with the 82nd Airborne, whom we will call "Don" for the sake of this letter, indicated an openness to the gospel as Len shared with him. Please pray that the Lord would open up the opportunity for Len to share further with him.

Len has also had positive follow up contacts with a couple of the people we previously shared with.  The two people are "Steve", whom we mentioned in our May newsletter, and "Roy", whom we mentioned in our June newsletter.  Both of them indicated a willingness to talk further with Len. We are praying and looking forward to the chance to share further with them, as the Lord allows. Not all interactions have been positive though. Some people have been closed to the gospel, which is sad to say. Please remember one of them in prayer in particular, who is comfortable as is, whom we will call "Jim". Pray the Lord will reveal the Truth to him and that he will be moved out of his comfort zone.

Doulos Missions International now offers discipleship training online through the Doulos Training School (DTS).  This is a three-year, distance education school, so all training is conducted over the Internet.  It is an international school for adult students in every nation on earth, and is intended for those who desire to become a disciple that makes disciples. In addition to the academic requirements, students are also required to do practical work throughout the course of their studies in the DTS. That includes maintaining a daily prayer life, daily Bible reading, participation in a discipleship group, known as a Life Transformation Group, evangelism, service for the Lord in some capacity, weekly participation in local worship services, giving tithes and offerings, accountability and submission to godly oversight. The first quarter begins on September 1, and we already have one student enrolled. Please visit the DTS online at Doulos Training School to find out more about how you or someone you know can participate. Please also pray for this new aspect of our ministry, especially that the Lord would develop through it many disciples who make disciples, resulting in multiplication for His glory.

The Lord continues to use the online Christian literature ministry worldwide.  Len also continues to get encouraging feedback from those who are benefiting from it.  Here is one testimony from a brother in South Africa, which Len has published with his permission in this present newsletter and online at Prodigal Restored to God:

"I grew up in a Baptist Church. In my early teens, I then stopped attending church for worldly things like football. In my late teens, I realized I had a spiritual problem. I went from one witchdoctor to another looking for solutions until one day someone in one of the prosperity churches invited me. After a long time there, with no breakthrough in my spiritual problem, my finances were drying up, as they really ask for money there. Everything is about money. They have campaigns whereby you have to come with all your salary plus bonus and sell your things, and put it all in an envelope with a request, which they say they will pray over in Israel for God to answer your problems."

"I then stopped going to any church. One day while browsing through the internet I came to a website, where I read a story of a certain ex-satanist from DRC, another African country about three hours flight from South Africa. I then began thinking seriously about my salvation more than my spiritual problem. Then while browsing through the Internet, I came to your blog, [EternalDestinations.info], from which I read a lot of heaven and hell testimonies that really shook me. My uncle has been inviting me to his church. I then decided to go there. Ever since that time, I have been attending there. However, I have been giving them the testimonies from your website, as they are not a holiness church."

"Their leader (the Bishop) has been introducing these testimonies to different groups (youth, mothers, fathers, etc). He has even given me the task of compiling these testimonies, and the corresponding videos, to give to these different groups, so that they may read and start letting go of certain things that the church wasn’t aware were sins before God."

"In short, I am in a church that is still striving for holiness through the testimonies found from your site. We thank God for that. It’s not easy, as some are resisting what comes out of these testimonies. Perhaps they feel they cannot be told what to do by a ‘new congregant’ such as me. But I believe with time, God will help us, though we may not have time."

Lusindiso Mfidi

J. Martin
Another reader, who is a law enforcement agency chaplain in the state of Georgia, wrote to us a kind note of appreciation saying in part, "I enjoy reading your works, which God has so generously blessed you through the power of the Holy Spirit, to publish for us to read.  May He continue to use you, bless you in knowledge, and grant you with many gifts for delivering His Word to the world."

Your brother in Christ,
J. Martin (Rome, Ga. USA)

Another reader, named Gino from Australia, has been corresponding with Len personally during the month of August. He stated: "Len this website is an oasis of Truth for those who love the Lord and want to obey his Word." Later he commented, "I read a few days ago your article, Restored Truth. It is heartbreakingly true. History (is) repeating itself with man rejecting God's Word over man's opinion or denominations beliefs. That article really blessed me."

Len has also been in contact with the Burmese pastors about possible ministry opportunities in the upcoming months. As you recall, the plan is to meet with them in Malaysia, so that's still being discussed in terms of their availability. One of those pastors in Myanmar has put Len in touch with some Burmese pastors here in the US. Two of them, located in Texas, called and spoke with Len in August.  Their names are Daniel and Ling. Daniel indicated a need for training among the Burmese pastors in the States, located in Texas, Colorado, and Washington, so that is something we'll be praying about to see how the Lord would lead Len. Meanwhile a Hungarian brother in Hungary, named Balazs (BO'- lazh), has contacted Len to say he missed him and is asking if Len has any plans to return to that country.

"Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest an article Len has recently written called The Ways of Life, Practicing Your Righteousness, Keeping a Prayer Journal, and Divorce -- Three Divine Revelations. July Update 2015

Greetings from North Carolina in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In June we celebrated Charity's seventeenth birthday. It seems like just yesterday that she was a baby and now she'll be an adult in less than a year. She got cards and a few gifts, all of which were thoughtful. One of the gifts was acrylic oil paints and some drawing paper, as she has really been blossoming as a young artist.

The boys also each got brand new bikes with some birthday gift money they had saved up. The Lord blessed us with great deals on the two bikes.  The total cost of both bikes put together was less than what many of the individual bikes are selling for these days.  Praise the Lord! This is Joseph's very first bike.  And Christopher has been without one for two years since we left Hungary, so they are both thankful to the Lord.

The children all completed their standardized "Iowa Tests of Educational Development" (ITEDs) in June and began their summer break from home school.  On the first day of summer break, Faith led one of her friends from the neighborhood to Christ. Praise the Lord! The eleven-year old girl's name is "Quintessa."  Please pray that she will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and bring her family to the Lord, too.

In July we received the children's ITED scores back from the testing agency, and were pleased with the results. They were not perfect overall, and all have at least some areas needing improvement, but they showed excellent progress in their studies. (Note: Please skip to the last two paragraphs under the boys' photo below, unless you are interested in the details on the test results).

As expected, Charity excelled in reading, writing, vocabulary, and spelling.  Her Grade Equivalent (GE) for Core Subjects was 13+, which means she is in the equivalent of thirteenth year of education, or freshman in college. In reality, she is entering the eleventh grade in the fall. Her overall composite GE for all subjects was grade 12.7.

Hope also did very well. Her strengths are in the areas of vocabulary, language, usage and expression, conciseness (she does not take after Len in this area), and reading comprehension. She did well in science, critical thinking, and scored 100% in Economics. Like Charity, Hope's Core Total GE was grade 13+ as well! Her overall composite GE for all subjects was grade 12.1.  So her overall aptitude is that of a high school senior, although she is fourteen years old entering grade nine this fall.

Faith excelled, too. Although she is starting seventh grade in September and is turning thirteen years old next month, she is at the aptitude of Grade Equivalence (GE) 9, meaning high school freshman. Her strengths are in the areas of vocabulary, reading comprehension, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, language usage and expression, scoring 100% in nine of the sub-topics within these areas. She also did well in science, maps and diagrams, and critical thinking.

Christopher scored high by the grace of God. Although he is a ten-year old soon entering fifth grade, his Core Subject GE reflected a 7.7 or seventh grade aptitude.  Meanwhile his overall composite GE was 8.6, meaning that overall he demonstrates an eighth-grade aptitude.  He scored above average in every subject except Math, in which he was fairly average. He scored 100% in about fourteen different areas, including Economics. So his diligence with his studies is paying off.

We praise God for the strong test results the children have received, especially since they have always been home schooled and have moved around quite a bit.  As a side note, Hope and Faith are taking an online typing course this summer, so they are staying busy during summer break.  Joseph is slowly learning to read and write.  He often comes to us with little notes like, "Love One Another" or "Hope for You." He prays and listens to a chapter of the Bible daily, by the grace of God.

We mentioned last month we had been trying to find a mechanic that could replace our catalytic converter on our fourteen-year-old van.  The dealer's price for the work is around $1,500, but Len was able to purchase one online through eBay for only $280, and even after miscellaneous parts and labor were included we got the converter replaced for about $400! Praise the Lord! That was a great answer to prayer.

Ministry: As you know, we are now living in a mostly military community that is close to Fort Bragg, the largest military base of any country in the world!

We have continued to meet more of our new neighbors, and the Lord has given us opportunities to share Jesus with some of them. As you would expect, generally speaking they are mostly military servicemen, or their spouse is, or they are retired military. One neighbor who is a soldier, whom we will call "Wayne" for the sake of this letter, indicated an openness to the gospel as we shared with him. The Lord put a love for him in our hearts, as He has also done with others we have met here. Please pray that the Lord would open up the opportunity for Len to share further with him.

We have also done a prayerful reconnaissance of some strategic evangelism locations.  Without disclosing for the enemy where those are located exactly, we will say that we had opportunity to witness to a young lady outside a sleazy establishment one night, who was a backslidden Christian.  For the sake of this update, we'll call her "Mercy" and ask that you please pray for her to repent and give her life completely to the Lord Jesus.

We have been encouraged to see statistical data indicating that the online Christian literature ministry is having perhaps the greatest impact, in terms of the numbers of people being reached worldwide.  Len also continues to get encouraging feedback from those who are benefiting from it.

For instance, a reader named Gino commented on Len's article about Gabriel Doufle Kokou's Testimony of Heaven and Hell, saying, "Though these holiness messages are very unpopular in general in today's churches, they line up with God's Word and the Truth is (that) without holiness no one will see the Lord."

Len has also been in contact with the Burmese pastors about possible ministry opportunities in the upcoming months. Meanwhile a Hungarian brother in Hungary, named Balazs (BO'- lazh), has contacted Len to say he missed him and is asking if Len has any plans to return to that country.

"Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest an article Len has recently written called Having a Servant's Heart and Tattoos and Body Piercing. All of Len's latest articles are available at Old News That's Still Fresh - July 2015. Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the new people we are meeting and the relationships we are building.
  2. For the help the Lord gave the children on their ITEDs.
  3. For the celebration of Charity's seventeenth birthday.
  4. For helping us get the van repaired for a fraction of the cost that was originally estimated.
  5. For the opportunities the Lord has given us to be a witness to people along the way.
  6. For the salvation of the eleven-year old girl, "Qunitessa" in our neighborhood.
  7. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  8. For the words of encouragement we have received from people.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to draw to Himself the neighbor, "Wayne," that we have been witnessing to.
  2. For the Lord to help "Mercy" repent and commit her whole life to the Lord Jesus.
  3. For the Lord to help "Quintessa" to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and bring her family to the Lord, too.
  4. For the Lord to place military people in our path who are ready for the gospel, and who will later be used by the Lord to reach many others for Christ here and in the uttermost parts of the earth.
  5. For the Lord to give Len guidance and provision regarding his planned, short-term trip later this year to Malaysia.
  6. For the Lord to send his angels with Len’s messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  7. For the Lord to open new doors of opportunity for ministry for us, and that we would be fruitful.
  8. For the Lord to continue to raise up new faith partners.
  9. For the Lord to provide for us, including all the furniture we need.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,
