October Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: Christopher has continued to apply for IT jobs online, but hasn't found anything yet after four months of trying. He has also applied for jobs outside his field to help him get some experience in customer service while he continues looking for employment. We continue to pray and believe God to provide him with a well-paying job in his field.

Meanwhile, Joseph is back in home school for his eighth grade. The girls are continuing to work at their jobs.

Jennifer, whose birthday is this weekend, and who has now been homeschooling our children for nearly twenty years, is continuing to teach Joseph, as usual, except that now, he is the only student remaining under her instruction. Please join us in praying for a very happy birthday for her this weekend.

Coincidentally, her birthday also marks the fifteenth year to the day since we arrived in Hungary. It has already been ten years since we returned to the States from the mission field.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its eighth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in five nations including Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, South Sudan, and the United Kingdom.

Len received the following testimony in September from one of our newest students in Kenya, named Mwendwa:

Hello brother Len

I’ve had a burden to evangelize more, and conviction from the Lord. Three weeks ago, I approached two brothers in...church, and asked if we can do evangelism. They were eager. Today we had our first few hours of evangelism, and two souls gave their lives to Jesus. We got to witness to several more, whom we will pray for. My desire is to evangelize more as a way of life. God willing, we plan to train others and spread the fire of evangelism in the church as it is quite cold in many ways.

I've been able to share with the youth ministry, as the youth pastor asked me to share on a topic to help disciple them. Also I notice a greater discipline in my Bible study, because I know I am accountable to everyone in the school, and the same with prayer as well...The articles give me a greater reverence for God, a desire to be purely heavenly-minded, and a true disciple of the Lord Jesus to make heaven."

Praise the Lord!

Len received the following testimony from brother John in Nigeria, who is one of our DTS graduates and our Facilitator for that country:

"DTS is a transformative [school] for those truly committed to following the Master diligently. I am someone who has experienced God's immense mercy, especially when He guided me to connect with DTS during a period of spiritual wilderness. It was like a spiritual journey, and God's love for me was evident, as He helped elevate my faith from being an ordinary Christian to becoming a disciple of our Lord Jesus through my training at DTS. Throughout my life, DTS has been a school that has taught me the essential principles of walking and working in the light of God. I have learned the importance of preaching to myself before preaching to others, as DTS has instilled in me a sense of accountability in the life of a believer.

Brother John."

Praise the Lord! In addition to serving as our Facilitator for Nigeria, brother John also has a ministry of his own as a pastor for a church, as well as another one he founded called Tabernacle Light. He goes out into the marketplace with his PA system, evangelizing, preaching the Word, and showing videos with his portable projector.

Len received the following note from sister Catherine in England, who is one of our students there:

"Dear brother Len and sister Jennifer.

All I have had this week is my dream about my cousin Jane, and the message to tell Churches to be ready for the rapture to meet our Lord, because anytime during the coming year He will come, and many will be left behind if they are not ready.

And so far many Churches are not ready. This is so serious, as when the tribulation comes it will be terrible, as you know; and Christians that are left will be tortured and killed. Everyday we are getting closer.

I am praying for you and Jennifer and all of you. Bless you all!

With love in Jesus Christ our Lord,

Sis Catherine"

Praise the Lord! Time is definitely short. While no man knows the day or the hour (Mt 24:36), the Lord said we must know how to interpret the signs of the times (Mt 16:2-3; 24:32-33), which are currently indicating His return is near. We all need to be ready and stay ready (Mt 24:42, 44), so that day will not catch any of us by surprise.

In October, Len received the following praise report from brother Grace, who is one of our graduates in Uganda and our National Facilitator there:

"Dear brother Len,

I thank you for the good work you are doing by God's grace!

Since I joined the DTS and graduated, my knowledge of the Word has greatly improved! Whenever I read the Bible I get revelation of it and my ministering is by the power of the Holy Spirit;

More healing and deliverance is taking place; glory to God!

Thank you,

Your brother, Grace."

Praise the Lord! To God be all the glory.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in October to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. We encourage you to read it also, as it contains some excellent articles you won't find anywhere else.

Note: Some words in the recorded testimonies above may have been changed to correct the grammar and spelling, and to enhance their clarity and readability. This was done without changing the meaning.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students.
  2. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  3. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to bless Jennifer with a happy birthday this weekend.
  2. For the Lord to help Christopher to find an excellent, good-paying job in the IT field.
  3. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students.
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
