December Update -- 2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In November we celebrated Thanksgiving with Bible reading (Ps 136), prayer, giving thanks to God, and a delicious dinner. Both Charity and Hope had to work that day, but they were able to be home in time for our turkey dinner.

Jennifer's finger is still causing pain and discomfort, and needs continued healing.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in five nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa.

Len received the following email from brother Tom who is a pastor in Uganda and a Second Year DTS student:

"Praise God. I am brother Tom from Uganda. I am so blessed by this great school. This time has been so powerful for such interesting and anointing courses I have ever taken. I have not remained the same.

May the good Lord keep you and your family well. Blessing in Jesus name."

Brother Tom later informed Len that he was away on a ministry trip, serving at a camp for refugees from South Sudan. He was spending a few weeks there, and found that the article Len wrote on Islam and shared with him was timely, because the refugees are all Muslims. Here is what he had to say:

"Dear Len,

Thanks a lot for your post on How to Reach a Muslim with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

It was a little bit challenging when I began ministering to these Sudanese, because most of them are Moslims. Immediately [after] I got these resources [from you], things normalised.

The only challenge I have is the interpretation of my communication to them -- they speak Arabic. Only one person is helping to translate... 

May the Lord keep you safe."

He later wrote:

"Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. I am remaining with one week [left at the Sudanese refugee camp], and [then] I return home to continue with my church ministry...

 

I have preached to many people within the camp and outside. Many have received Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour. So far the churches within the camp have [grown] to five. One new church is going to be opened next Sunday and a church pastor will be introduced to the members.

To tell the truth, these refugee Christians are so green about spirituality. It takes God's intervention. They are so rude,bitter, easily angered, and wild radically (physical). 

My appeal to you Sir: The effort  needed in this camp is so big that two or three people cannot manage.

There are a total of up to fifty two NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) running their different programmes, but Pentecostal ministers are very few. If there are people who can help us do this ministry, l request them through you [for them] to come and evangelise in this isolated place.

God bless you."

In November, Len received the following email from brother James in Uganda, a pastor there who is now in his final quarter of DTS training. This was in response to Len asking him to be specific about all the unreached people groups he was engaging. He stated:

Hello brother Len,

Greetings ,am sorry for the delay .This was occasioned by numerous engagements, because I was meeting the Nubian communities. I returned yesterday.

I have reached the Meneng which are more in South Sudan than in Uganda. The Karamojong and Dodoth I have reached, because I speak the same language with them. I have  reached and am going to reach the Pokoth this December, too. 

I just returned yesterday from reaching the Nubian community in Bombo, Uganda, and seventy-two of them received Jesus Christ .All these new converts need Bibles. I do reach Aringa; so far, one church has been planted in the Aringa community. These are the people we have reached so far. The request [that all of them] keep bringing is they want Bibles. I hope you find these responses satisfying.

Praise the Lord for that good report. Len also put James in touch with the Jesus Film Project here in the US, and he has applied for the projector and other equipment he needs in order to show the Jesus Film in the remote places he goes to bring the gospel to the unreached, including Muslims. The Jesus Film Project is able to give such resources for free to those who qualify, and priority is given to those who are ministering to unreached people groups. Let's pray James will be granted those resources.

Brother Sam Okiror in Uganda is one of our students currently in his Second Year of DTS. In November he requested prayer for a health problem of the spine, as he has gotten an MRI and the radiologist has rendered a diagnosis. He is currently bed-ridden and unable to walk. 

We don't need to accept man's diagnosis, because we serve a miracle-working God with whom all things are possible. There is no disease he cannot heal. Please join us in lifting up Sam in prayer for his healing. 

In December, Len received the following email from brother Grace in Uganda:

"Hi dear brother Len,

I want to thank the Lord for DTS and the message you just sent of "How to Reach a Muslim for Christ"! Just yesterday a Muslim man came to our altar, and after a lengthy sharing, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour! Glory to Him!

Len received the following email in December from brother Charles a pastor in Uganda who is a third-year DTS student:

"Hello Bro Len,

Am doing well, sir, and the Lord has been faithful to us. Am grateful that am impacted daily through this course. It has tremendously helped me to have deeper understanding of scriptures.

Have a great week.

Charles"

In December, Len received the following email from brother Stephen in Nigeria (photo below), who is a first year DTS student. He wrote:

"Greetings in Jesus name,

Glory to God one Mr Adamu from Bauchi state Nigeria formally a Muslim gave his life to Jesus, now with me putting him through the Word. Please pray along with him because his family have not known [about] his decision [for Christ]. Now he has two sons he wants to carry along with him to Gombe state where we are now with him."

This is wonderful news! Let's join with brother Stephen in prayer for him about this secret move to Gombe state with his two sons. Hallelujah! There is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous people who don't need to repent!! Glory to God!!

We have also recently enrolled brother Stephen's wife Daniel (pictured above with him). She is twenty years old, and came to the Lord ten years ago after participating in a Bible lesson about the love of Jesus for her. She enrolled in the DTS in order to become a disciple of Christ. Please join us in praying that she will achieve her goal. 

In December, our first student from South Africa enrolled in the DTS. Her name is Dorcas (pictured left), and she states the reason she has enrolled in our school is: "I want to have the knowledge of Christ more in my life and I want to serve and I want Him to use me in this end time." 

We also had another new student in Uganda named Sam (pictured above) enroll, who was referred to us by brother Grace. He is thirty-eight years old and came to know the Lord seven years ago. Here is his testimony:

"In 2013 there was a crusade in [the] Soroti public gardens. I attended it and got touched by the message of love of our Lord Jesus and I believed."

Sam's stated reason for enrolling is "to have fellowship with others and learn more of God's Word." 

We look forward to serving Sam, Dorcas, and Daniel over the next three years.

November Update -- 2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In November we celebrated Hope's twentieth birthday with homemade cake, as well as cards, gifts, and prayer.

We had a power outage when Hurricane Zeta came through our area. It caused an extended power outage and some people suffered property damage. Since the Lord had provided us with a generator, we were able to power our critical items like refrigerator, freezer, cooking burners, and lights for about twenty-four hours until they restored the power. Others in our area remained without power for days. Thank the Lord for providing the generator, so that our food did not spoil or need to be thrown out.

Jennifer's finger is still causing pain and discomfort, and needs continued healing.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in four nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana.

Brother Jimmy in Uganda asked for prayer for his wife who underwent a Cesarean delivery, and in answer to our prayers, the procedure was a success. They had a baby girl. Praise the Lord that both mother and baby are doing fine, except that the mother has a flu right now. So we are praying for her healing. Jimmy said on November 14th, "She is improving and I believe by Monday she will be fine."

Len recently asked the students to let him know which unreached people groups are in their area. He received the following email from Brother James in Uganda who is a pastor there and a third year student of the DTS:

"Thank you, dear Len,

I am in contact with them all. I do go to minister to these groups, but because of Covid, we are planning to [resume] next year. We don't have Jesus films and projectors, but I have my teams. We do reach these places, Len...

I have just come back from the Pokot mission, and the Meneng in Kidepo....I am here doing the work already. It's very hard. Sometimes [there is] no food, no water, but [for] the love of souls we are there doing the work.

I just go to them with my Bible, and I go to their homes in the villages. I talk to their leaders who take me to the community. Sometimes I buy them food [or] I give them used clothes just for love, in order for me to pass my message to them. But if I can get the Jesus film, I can reach many [more]. People are getting saved. I need Bibles for some of them.

I have seen many come to Christ, [which] is the reason we keep going back. Next year we want to introduce LTG to them because they are always there for us. We are not there all the time. This will go a long way in keeping them and establishing them in the gospel. LTG is our  plan for next year. Our first priority was to win them to Christ (salvation first).

Concerning the Nubian unreached ,we have even planted a Church there. Nubian are more of Moslems. They live in communities dominated by Moslems, and those who get saved are persecuted for getting saved, sent out of home as outcasts [for] denouncing Islam. So this makes them run to Church seeking for refuge. The Church takes responsibility of looking after them in all ways.

Concerning the Aringas unreached. They are too Moslem-dominated communities in Uganda. They are equally persecuted whenever they get saved. So we win them through love."

The Pokot people are actually not considered an unreached people group. Almost half of them are Christian, but only 12% are evangelical. The Meneng are also not technically considered an unreached group, since 15% are Christian, but only 3% are evangelical. However, James is there on the ground in Uganda and sees that these people still need gospel outreach. James also indicated that he needs people who can get him "mission kits" for these outreaches.

Brother John in Nigeria sent the following testimony to Len in November:

"[There are] so many things to testify about. But I will only list out few for the glory of God. Honestly, God is helping me to grow more in the faith through the DTS courses designed for us.

Powerfully, [Eudoxia's Testimony] has taught me something I should not forget in a hurry from one of the revelations of Jesus Christ. This has helped to wake me up and reminded me of the reality of heaven and my need to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, if I want to make it to that glorious place.

I learnt from [her testimony] that so many of our Churches are building structures without putting emphasis on building souls for Jesus.

'The Lord showed her how she and her husband must love each other. There must not even be one little gap of unforgiveness or they cannot be one, or thinking of how he or she looks like, because that leaves an opening where the demons can get a spear into you.' This has really inspired me to close some gaps in my own marriage...

[Her testimony also] taught me something on how to train children in a solitary place [rather] than in public. I love and appreciate your editorial comments on Eudoxia's testimony." 

Brother Richard in Uganda, who is a pastor there, emailed the following testimony to Len in November:

"My testimony is full of God's love. I thank the Lord Jesus for his love and light of scriptures that I have learnt from DTS. Always refreshes my life and steady knowledge of the scriptures. Many touching revelations from the fire books have changed my life more in righteousness. Am sure of my destiny in Christ."

Brother Grace in Uganda sent the following testimony to Len in November:

"Hi dear brother Len,

It is great having this day, sharing this brief testimony with you and everyone there!

Since the lockdown, nearly all systems were paralyzed including ministry work. God spoke through the brethren urging us to do ministry work without fear. To me this seemed to be an act of disobeying the authorities; nevertheless we picked up by God's grace, and obeyed the Lord's voice while trying to observe the covid 19 regulations required by the authorities. When this started, security was tipped, and we were threatened. The Lord, however, worked with and within us to carry on His mission; He started and will accomplish it through His yielded vessels.

From that time when things became hard, many with empty stomachs, fears, persecution here and there, many tears, etc, our ministry work is progressing. We are receiving many testimonies that are being shared of what the Lord is doing. It is during this time when we have seen more of the Lord's grace in healing and deliverance more than when we were free. 

I am so grateful to the Lord for what He is doing through DTS, especially I am touched the more in the study of Discipleship VII, Taking heaven by Force! This Scripture of Mathew 11:12 , "taking heaven by force" has been fulfilled before our very own eyes! God can NEVER be limited by any situation. In fact, He works best when things seem to be impossible. It is Him who is at work through His children, when we obey and follow His leading! I thank God and glorify His Name for what He is doing!

"Praise God! I want to thank God for my life. In the month of October I celebrated my birthday. It was a great joy in my heart for me to add one more year. Glory be to God. In the same note, my mother was sick, but through prayers God Healed her. I give glory and honor to our most high God. 

As I continue with my ministry many people's lives have been transformed. I have now [a] small group of people with whom I share the Word of God every weekend. Glory be to God."

October Update -- 2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In October we celebrated Jennifer's birthday with homemade cake made by Faith, as well as cards, a gift, and prayer.

Jennifer's finger is still causing some pain, because the fingernail has not yet returned to its normal level following the emergency surgery she had two months ago. Her primary care physician, who saw her in follow up not long after the surgery, told her it would take a while for the nail to go back down. So we are still praying and waiting on the Lord for that to happen. 

During October Len posted Hope's salvation testimony on one of his blogs. In her testimony she describes how she was Given a New Heart with Sweet Peace. It's worth reading. Meanwhile, Len moved Faith's salvation testimony to a public posting, since she is now an adult. If you haven't already read it, it's called My Overflowing Joy in Knowing Jesus.

Len received the following email from brother Grace in September regarding his healing and deliverance ministry in Soroti, Uganda. Grace is a pastor and one of our third year students. Here is what he wrote:

"...I have been having no single moment to do what seems necessary, but caught up helping and reaching those in challenges, many missions etc. I thank God that some of them have recovered from critical conditions. One [man] was hospitalised with a stroke, unable to sit, eat or drink, breathing was not well etc. Glory to the Lord, he is recovering. Families have been delivered etc. I will write more on this later...I pray the Lord blesses your endeavours, your prayers etc.

In his second email he wrote:

"Hi dear brother Len,

...My life, family, ministry have not remained the same because of your ministry.What more do I say, but to thank God in every situation who brought you to my life. Blessings my brother as we wait for His soon appearing.

Your brother Grace Okurut." 

Len received the following testimony in October from sister Christine in Uganda (pictured left), who is in her First Year of DTS training:

"Dear Brother Len,

Praise the Lord Jesus.

Joining the DTS has brought about changes in different areas in my life.

First of all as I read the word of God every day it has given me a deeper desire to read and study the Bible always.

Secondly through the DTS course works I have gained broader revelation and knowledge of God and I am personally being equipped for everyday ministry as a servant of the Lord. Thirdly, the LTG  has given me a sense of accountability on spiritual matters to my LTG group.

September Update - 2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Denis Lacroix

Family: In August Len's beloved nephew Denis Lacroix passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He had been our DMI bookkeeper for the past several years, but was more than a bookkeeper, as he did so much more for us. He was Len's best friend and right hand man in this ministry, as well as a constant intercessor for us, and we have truly experienced a great loss with his passing, but he is in glory now.

You can read Denis' testimony that Len posted online in 2012, shortly after Denis returned to the Lord after a couple decades of backsliding from the Lord (see here). Copies of this testimony were handed out at the Memorial Service and they went like hotcakes. You can also watch the touching Memorial Service in New Hampshire (NH), where Len gave a eulogy and others shared their loving memories of Denis as well (see here). One person at that meeting came forward at the end to indicate a decision for Christ. Check your email for a special note from Len about another wonderful outcome, and how you can pray. Denis would be so thrilled at what the Lord is doing through all of this to win souls.

Len spent a week in NH for the activities surrounding the passing of Denis, including collecting documents and electronic files that Denis had kept. He had an opportunity to see many family members that he hadn't seen in seven years since we returned from Hungary. That was the last time he was in NH, so he was thankful to see them again. We also give God the praise for protecting Len from several life-threatening dangers he encountered on the road during his trip.

We now have a great need for a new bookkeeper, and we ask that you please join us in praying the Lord would provide the right person to take over for Denis. This is a critical role that needs to be filled immediately so that we can continue on with our ministry. We have already asked several people and found no one yet who is willing to do it.

As Len was driving up to NH for Denis' Memorial Service, Jennifer was in the hospital getting emergency surgery on her finger, because she had developed an infection in it. That was on August 19th and her finger is still in the process of healing. Please pray that the Lord would heal her finger completely, restore her immune system following a course of very powerful antibiotics, and provide for all the medical expenses that were incurred.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in five nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and the United Arab Emirates.

We have had a few new students enroll in the DTS and begin on September 1.

First of all, a new student named Josiah from Nigeria enrolled in our DTS in August. He was raised in a Christian family but could not recall a time when he was born again, so at Len's request Deji helped him to pray and ask Jesus into his heart. He wants to enroll in the DTS to get more dedicated to the things of God and also learn more about God from those who know more. He will also be brother Favour's new LTG partner. We praise God for bringing brother Josiah into the kingdom and into our DTS.

Stephen in Nigeria

Secondly, another new student in Nigeria named Stephen enrolled as well. He gave his life to Christ eleven years ago in 2009. The reason he gave for enrolling was: "I want to know more about God and how to win souls for God, and all I want now is to affect my generation for God."

We are glad to have him enroll in the DTS.

Uchenna and Henrietta in Nigeria

Thirdly, a couple named Uchenna and Henrietta have resumed their training with us that was suspended in 2018, so they are restarting their first quarter. The Lord has brought them through some very difficult trials that they experienced during the past two years while they were away from us, and we are glad to have them back.

Kevin in Uganda

Fourth, we have another new student named Kevin from Uganda. She was referred to us by Grace, who is a pastor there and third-year DTS student. She enrolled: "To help me in building my faith, to grow strong as I prepare to wait for the coming of Jesus." We are glad as well for bringing her into the DTS. Here is her testimony after two weeks of training:

"I want to thank God. Since I joined [the] DTS, my life is never the same. Reading [the] Bible [and] praying is now my daily activity. And also I have managed to transform the life of some people in my work place. Every evening I sit with my home people and we learn the Word of God together. Thanks...for what you are doing. God bless you."

Please join us in welcoming these students to the DTS, and praying that the Lord will equip them for works of service. We're looking forward to serving all of them over the next three years.

More DTS Testimonies

One of our First Year students in the United Arab Emirates named sister Rudiah received special permission from her employer there to move back to Kenya in September to be with her husband and children. She had been temporarily working abroad in that country. Please pray that the Lord will bring her safely back home to her family on Wednesday 16 September.

One of our DTS students in Uganda, Brother Charles, who is a pastor there, wrote the following praise report of what the Lord is doing through the Life Transformation Groups:

"Good morning Leonard

Am very grateful to God for the things He is doing through you and the Life Transformation Groups (LTG). Recently in one of the groups one members child was not well and as you know it was difficult for the family to take the child for proper medical attention, but as the LTG had gathered for their usual meetings. One member in the community came to the group and was testifying of what God had done in his life. He said he once attended the meeting, was prayed for and God opened a door for a job. He had to travel over the weekend to that place just to thank God and encourage members to continue the habit of meeting together.

He also brought an equivalent of $20 to thank Lord for opening that door for a job. 

The members praised God together with him and as a team they agreed to have the child taken for proper medical check and treated. As we speak now the baby has recovered. The glory goes back to God. Hallelujah!!"

Praise the Lord for that wonderful testimony. Brother Charles confirmed that he is meeting with his LTG partners as instructed, men with men and not more than three people per group. But the local families in his church are using a modified version of the LTG during the lockdown period when there are no church services. He stated:

"We're doing as you instructed us, except in our setting and during this pandemic a family conducts prayers and goes through the 5 [LTG] questions, [they] go through the scriptural reading together, because they're of one family. Occasionally in our African setting, some visitors come, and if the family [is] in that time of prayer, they join together."

We received the following testimony from brother John in Nigeria:

"The testimony I can share this time is that in our LTG group, we are trying by God's possible grace to intensify our prayer life. We want to make prayer part and parcel of our life, We hope in God by His grace to talk to Him for the people through prayer and talk to people for Him through preaching."

6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
7. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.

Next steps and prayer needs:

1. For the Lord to heal Jennifer's finger.
2. For the Lord to heal Faith and Len from eczema.
3. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students in the hardships they're experiencing due to the lockdown, especially those in dire need in Uganda. 
4. For the Lord to assist all our DTS students in any life challenges they may be experiencing.
5. For the Lord to protect sister Rudiah as she returns to Kenya on Wednesday September 16th.
6. For the Lord to provide us with a new Bookkeeper for Doulos Missions International.
7. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples. 
8. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group), and help them finish all their course work for the current quarter by the end of this month. 
9. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
10. For the Lord to raise up new faith partners, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry.

August Update - 2020

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In August we celebrated Faith's eighteenth birthday with cake, cards, gifts, and prayer for her.

We had a 5.1 magnitude earthquake in August. The whole house was shaking back and forth, but it sustained no damage. Most people in our area probably didn't sustain much damage, if any. Thank the Lord for His protection.

Grace in Uganda

Len received the following email from brother Grace in Uganda, who is a pastor there and in his third year of DTS training now. He wrote:

"Hi dear brother Len,

I give God the glory for what He is doing to change lives through DTS! I have been going through the 'Garments of Godliness' in this semester. This has coincided with our prayer and fasting plan. Just a week a go the Lord guided us to pray and fast for six days in the area of purity as intercessors. In the process the Lord removed our old clothing and replaced with very white garments. Some days during prayer, the Lord appeared standing in our midst with a very white robe. We have had a wonderful time and experience with the Lord this one more time.

We thank God for what He is doing through DTS;  I do share DTS teachings and testimonies with the brethren here and our lives are changed.

Praise the Lord for that amazing testimony. He and his family recently moved from Lirat o Soroti, Uganda, where they plan to start a healing and deliverance ministry. Let's pray that they are successful in doing so.

Humphrey in Uganda

Len also received the following emails from Humphrey in Uganda, another pastor there who is in his first quarter of DTS:

"Greetings brother Len,

Hope this finds you well and your loved ones too. I must confess that it is  a very enriching experience so far so good. The materials of DTS has given me a redefining moment in my Christian walk and ministry .My perspective about God has completely shifted positively.I am glad that I have finally collided with the awesome truth I have been craving for.As I read the material ,every page drips with truth and fresh revelation that engraves a Divine mark on my heart -it is a true embodiment of truth.I am glad that I am being fully grounded, equipped,established and coming to full knowledge through DTS.

If it were not for LTG tool, I don't know where the Ugandan Churches would in this nearly six months of church lockdown more so our church . Churches are still in lockdown, but we meet in homes using the LTG system of meeting two-by-two, and this makes me to believe you are a God-sent man at such  unprecedented times when things are hard. I  want to conclude that if he restrictions are lifted by the government, please come  and pay a visit to us, as we  plan to mobilise more students.

Cynthia in Kenya

Sister Cynthia in Kenya, who is currently in her First Year Second Quarter of DTS, wrote:

"Praise Jesus. I bless the Lord for you. I pray that your family is safe and fine. I thank God that despite of everything and all the economical shifts in the business world. The Lord has still sustained me at my work place and be able to achieve all the set targets. This is my testimony, brother Leonard.

God Bless you all."

We're thankful to God for His provision in Cynthia's life, and for the fact that she has started an LTG.

John in Nigeria

Brother John from Nigeria also gave God the glory as well. He wrote:

"The series of this course work has taught me a lot in this second quarter of my third year. Right now I am trying to see how I [can] channel myself from self-confidence to confidence in the Lord, stop trusting in man, and trust in God alone. I also learnt that there is beauty in brokenness as it releases a beautiful fragrance in the presence of the Lord. I think I should try as much as possible to love the process of brokenness, if it is for the Lord or caused by the Lord. The series taught me about obedience to the Lord which is not optional. I am motivated that God does use weak things to carry out His purposes (e.g., whenever I think of where He drew me from). From the teachings in this quarter, I am trying to be careful about worldliness, avoid the self help gospel, self help religion, and to love suffering as a believer in Christ provided it brings glory to my God. I am helped by the book by Bro. Sadiq Ibrahim (with Dr. K.N. Stewart) Walking in God’s Perfect Will (Including an end-time vision of the Rapture and experience in Hell). [There are] many more testimonies I would have love to share, but in all, God is with me."

It's always great to get that kind of feedback and see how the Lord is using the DTS to equip our students for works of service.

Shadrach in Nigeria

Speaking of works of service, brothers John and Shadrach, who are LTG partners, organized a three-day, evangelistic outreach to Calabar where they live, in which they preached the gospel. Here is the report from John on the results of that outreach:

"The crusade was successful. We used a movie titled 'Eternity So Near' as a tool to gather people. As they gathered the first night, we showed part of it, and we preached the message of salvation to them. Many of them responded to the altar call that first day. We completed the movie the second day, and preached to them about the Cross and its meaning. Saturday was the last day, which we used for prayers, after which we asked those that responded well to meet every Sunday [at] 5 PM for a discipleship class. We assigned a brother who hosted us to assist them in the training, who himself is a discipline of Brother Gbile Akanni. One of [those who responded to the gospel] has been calling me from there, sharing testimony of his change life."

Praise the Lord for such wonderful results from the crusade in Calabar.

Len also received the following testimony from Shadrach who stated:

"Good evening brother Len, I really want to testify [of] what God is doing in my life through the LTG. The LTG has made evangelism a lifestyle and commitment to bringing others to Christ has become a daily heart beat. God bless you and everyone in the DTS."

Greetings from Uganda. I hope everyone is okay.

Am writing this mail to thank God for the opportunity of being a student Disciple of Duolos Training School.

Am especially grateful to God for the LTG module. I must say that the Lord had spoken to you before hand that this program would be practical in times that we are leaving in today. The LTG groups has helped us as a ministry to be able to bring the members together to share the word of God and be encouraged.

Uganda currently is still under lockdown, churches are still closed and groups of more than five are not permitted. God surely knew that in 2020 a pandemic would make it not possible for Christians to gather, but we're grateful to God that through the LTG we are able to meet in smaller groups. Thank you brother Len for allowing God to use you for such a time as this.

Jouni in Finland

In June Len received an email from one of his readers in Finland named Jouni (YOO-nee) about how the Lord recently brought him back to Jesus after ten years of being away from God. He wrote:

"Hey Leonard,

I want to thank you so much for your blogs that you have written. They have been of paramount help of growing in faith. The path to salvation is narrow! Thank you so much for all the work you've put in for the kingdom of God.

I'm located in Finland and I'm seeking God's will in my life. The Lord pulled me back in his mercy after I left my faith for a period of about 10 years.

Afterward as Len prayed with him on the phone, he received deliverance, as well as the baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire. Praise the Lord!

Humphrey in Uganda

A new student in Uganda named brother Humphrey, who is a thirty-seven year old pastor there in Lira, enrolled in our DTS in June. He came to know Christ twenty-one years ago in 1999 while he was in high school. He said, "Then I was in high school. A team of Evangelists came to our collage to evangelize. That is where I received Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior." He enrolled in the DTS "To be equipped for the work of ministry." After he began his training, he wrote:

Dear Brother Len,

Hope the Lord has kept you well. I have intentionally and comprehensively read the materials. I must confess that they are very enriching and am very sure is going to give me a redefining moment in my ministry, and reorient my perspective about God.

It is also worth commending that true transformation, as apostle Paul talked of in Romans 12:2, spins on the axis of right knowledge. I am glad that I have collided with the right knowledge I have been craving for.

Your materials are a true embodiment of the truth. Every page drips with truth and fresh revelation
that engraves a Divine and Eternal mark on the heart of the reader with greater depth in the word that leaves a new creation in Christ learned, grounded, established, and holistic.
