February Update -- 2024

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: The Lord blessed us with a wonderful twenty-seventh wedding anniversary celebration in February. Jennifer received a beautiful bouquet of roses from Len (see photo link below). We exchanged cards, as well as received beautiful anniversary cards from our children and Jennifer's parents. We renewed our vows, went for a walk in the park (pictured above), enjoyed dinner out together, looked at our wedding photo album and watched our wedding video together, which never gets old.

We celebrated Joseph's fifteenth birthday with a party, including cake, gifts, cards, and prayer for the birthday boy. Len also celebrated his thirty-eighth spiritual birthday, which coincides with Joseph's birthday. If you have never read how Len came to Christ radically on February 13, 1986, please see his testimony called The Truth Set Me Free

Christopher is doing fine with his IT studies as a full-time college student. By the grace of God, he successfully passed his road test at the DMV, and received his driver's license, for which he is grateful. As you can see, we have so much to be thankful for.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its eighth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in five nations including Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, South Sudan, and the United Kingdom.

Sister Mwendwa in Kenya sent the following testimony to Len in February:

"Through the DTS lessons, disciplined daily Bible study, and prayer cultivated by being a part of the school and the LTG group process, I have seen the Lord increase my burden to evangelize and win souls which was and is a constant prayer and desire. He is opening my eyes to see what I can do and is giving me many ideas. Two weeks ago, I visited a sick sister from church and the Holy Spirit showed me that this hospital is an open field for evangelism. I visited alone later with a few packets of milk and some booklets and got to share the love of Jesus and pray for a few sick people in the oncology ward. I will keep going back regularly by God’s grace. I also have been using my writing gift to write and print tracts for evangelism.

Sister Mwendwa"

We received the following testimony in February from sister Catherine in England after she read Len's recent articles, The Faith of God and Seven Things That Accumulate Building Materials:

"Dear brother Len and sis Jennifer,

These were very interesting. I didn't realise that God has your heavenly home built on these seven things we are required to do, although I am doing them all except one, which is witnessing.

On the way to help out in the counselling group one evening, I saw rainbows around the street lights, but John and Sue traveling with me could not see them. However, Sue later texted me, and she said she saw a rainbow in her bedroom on her bed. I told her that our Lord told me the rainbows she and I saw were our Lord reminding us of His promises to us, and that we must trust Him to fulfill these. This fits with the study on The Faith of God. Our Lord showed me that we must act out daily these promises, such as praying over the sick and casting out demons.

For me the study on The Faith of God gave me more confidence in God as my Heavenly Father.  It showed God's concrete confidence in Himself. He is [the most] awesome, strongest being ever, so why not? Although I should have absolute confidence in our Heavenly Father our Creator, I always found it difficult viewing God as my Heavenly Father, until I read your study. The study was so awesome; it gave me 100% more confidence in God as my Heavenly Father."

Hallelujah!

Len received the following testimony in February from brother Henry, who is a missionary from Uganda to South Sudan:

"Dear bro Len,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am so grateful to God that I have fully registered the ministry God has given me with the government of South Sudan under the ministry of religious affairs.

Yours faithfully,
Bro Henry."

Praise the Lord for helping brother Henry register his ministry there in South Sudan.

Len received the following testimony from brother Grace in Uganda in January. He is a pastor there, who is one of our graduates and our facilitator for Uganda.

"From the time I got enrolled into DTS, I began to experience and develop a study discipline and hunger for God's Word; I enjoy it every day!

As I share now, I'm completely consumed by God's Word; and His revelation of the Word to me and authority is immense! Glory to Him,

Blessings,

Brother Grace."

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in February to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. We encourage you to read it also, as it contains some excellent articles you won't find anywhere else.

We would like to share with you a brief article highlighting the ministries of three of our graduates at the following link.

Video Testimonies
In February, Len received the following brief video testimonies from two of our graduates:

John Abugieye's First Testimony and Second Testimony

Collete Tago's Testimony

New Giving Portal
Please note that we now have a GiveSendGo Campaign for Doulos Missions International, which is a new portal for giving financially to this ministry. All contributions are still tax deductible as always. The link for the portal and campaign is here. The donate page on our DMI website and all of Len's blogs now takes you to the GiveSendGo campaign. One way you could help support us besides praying and giving financially is to share this link on social media, as well as with friends and family.

Len is prayerfully planning some potential missions trips this year, as the Lord would provide, such as Albania (April), Bulgaria (June), and England, as well as the Netherlands. He is also planning a ministry trip to New Mexico. So your prayers and financial support to help make these possible would be greatly appreciated.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For blessing us with a wonderful twenty-seventh wedding anniversary.
  2. For blessing Joseph with a happy fifteenth birthday, and blessing Len on his thirty-eight spiritual birthday.
  3. For helping Christopher to successfully pass his driver's road test and get his license.
  4. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students, especially the eight people who got saved through sister Rebecca's preaching.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to help Christopher to find an excellent, good-paying job in the IT field.
  2. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students.
  3. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  4. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  5. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  6. For the Lord to lead, guide, and provide for ministry travel, as Len makes plans for the coming weeks and months of 2024.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
