March Update - 2022

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: In March, we celebrated Len's fifty-sixth birthday with cake, cards, gifts, prayer, and fellowship together.

The children also had a good time watching two young children of some Christian friends of ours, who came here to our home each day for four days one week in March. The five-year old boy and seven-year old girl were a joy to take care of. Jennifer and the girls here who all watched them enjoyed it.

Faith has not yet found a full time job, so that is still a prayer of ours for her, as well as for healing from eczema. Charity also has still not gotten her full time hours back at work, so we are still praying for that.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in eight nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, India, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

In February, Len received the following email from brother John in Uganda:

"Just to say thanks and give Glory to God for His Grace to finish my course reading of First Year Fourth Quarter. It is such a blessing, swimming in the Holy Spirit, enjoying word by word! Thank you, Bro Len and sister Jennifer. I am blessed, and do appreciate both your efforts in nurturing us in the Word of God! I cannot thank you enough, however, I commend you to God, [Who is] the best Rewarder of all the faithful to Him! Be blessed abundantly in Christ Jesus our Lord. Love you all.

Bro John"

In February, a number of our students witnessed souls coming to Christ and being saved. This included our student, brother Richard in Uganda, as well as brother Henry, who had a crusade in Western Equatorial region of South Sudan and saw souls being saved. Praise the Lord!

Sister Rebecca T in Uganda said that her most recent reading of the book of Acts has changed her life; Paul the apostle gave his life to be a witness without any fear, which has greatly encouraged her.

Brother Tom sent a very exciting update to Len in February about the progress of his healing and deliverance ministry. He wrote:

"Dear Brother Leonard,

The Lord has been so good to me and my wife. We started a serious deliverance ministry in one of the villages in Lira District. Last week we were nine in number for the service; but this Wednesday, 183 people turned up for deliverance. Many were healed and delivered. An old woman who could not talk received her speech.

We shall have the next service on Wednesday. And besides that, we shall open a church officially this Sunday. Someone offered for us his house (hall) to start a Sunday service for some time, as we look for where the church should be.

We need your constant prayer for me and my wife Joyce, who are now doing the deliverance in this community.

God bless you."

Sister Henrietta wrote to Len about how the Lord provided for her medical bills for her caesarian section in February. Here is her testimony:

"Greetings in Jesus name Amen, Sir, am most thankful to God who faithfully provided for the hospital bills. It was a miracle."

She went on to share why it is important for her to be in the DTS in an email she titled "The Right Place to Be":

"Good morning sir, greetings in Jesus name Amen, Trust the weekend was good. It is important for me to remain in the DTS family, because right here all we discuss and learn about is concerning Christ Jesus our master, our Savior, His ways of life, and how we could be like Him, and make heaven. And I also learn a lot from you and cannot afford to lose this great opportunity."

Praise the Lord!

Brother Ibrahim from Kenya wrote the following email as well in March as we began the new quarter:

"Dear Brother Len,

Congratulations to all our new members in Christ. This is the place to be. Many thanks for being there for us throughout these training sessions.

Sincerely,

Br Ibrahim"

In March, Len received the following email from brother Max in Uganda:

"I'm forever grateful to have joined DTS, and I keep experiencing the love of God and his divine providence throughout my day to day life.

The DTS course work is such an amazing refreshment for my soul, and I keep [shining] in my spiritual walk with the Lord and friends. Oh thank you, Jesus, for such a foundation that [remains] immovable in all circumstances.

'I am a slave of God.' This has blessed me much. [Although] the Lord Jesus called his disciples friends, [that] didn't stop them [from being] his slaves [to] his Lordship, and so am I!...Now enslaved to Christ. Glory to God!...I am under Jesus' arrest, and He has taken me captive, laid hold of me, and captured my heart to be His love slave. Hallelujah! What a revelation to catch!! Thanks for the course work."

Praise the Lord! Thank you for praying for brother Max and his father, as they are feeling better. His father still needs a complete recovery though.

Len received the following testimony from sister Hannah, one of our students in Nigeria:

"Dear Brother Len,

I want to thank God for one of my LTG partners, sister Faith whose younger sister was confirmed HIV positive some years ago. She was really sick to death. During our meetings, we usually pray for her and other people of God. With consistent prayers and medications, she was confirmed HIV negative some weeks ago. Praise God!

Hallelujah!
Hannah"

In March, Len received the following email from brother Martin, one of our students in Uganda:

"I learned more in my first year at DTS than I did in [the] past years [of] my Christian life.

I'm fulfilling the plan of God for my life. Even as a pastor, I still need the current education I’m getting from Doulos Missions International, as well through LTG.

I came from South Sudan living in Uganda as a refugee and also continuing with my calling as a pastor among the refugee community at Kiryandongo Refugee camp. When I found out about DTS, God put it on my heart to join. It’s really awesome. I also introduced LTG to the members of my church.

Doulos Missions International gave me the discipline I needed to study the Word of God. To be taught by such godly and knowledgeable ministers has truly transformed my life.

Thank you and DTS,

Brother Martin Kuku"

In March, brother Jimmy Orombi, who is a DTS student in Uganda, shared this testimony:

Praise God brother Len, I want to give glory to God for the great opportunity that he has given to me to share the love of God with some family, and there are four people who have been delivered:

One had chronic headaches for two years...But as I shared the story in John 3:1-21 and she prayed to receive Jesus, she was made well again.

One had issues with her legs for four years. She moved from hospital to hospital and from shrine to shrine, but received no healing. Yet when she prayed to receive Jesus, and I laid my hands on her legs and prayed for her, she was delivered instantly.

And two other ladies had abnormal pain during their menstrual period, but when they prayed to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, and I prayed for them, God delivered them from the pains. And these miracles happened with fasting, which is our practice with continued prayers."

Brother Hillary, who is one of our new DTS students in South Sudan, gave the following testimony in March about how the Lord is working in his life:

"Dear Leonard,

DTS lessons redirected my focus and changed my time schedules. In the last twelve days I have been able to dedicate time to read the Word of God daily, I gave quiet time to ponder on the Word of God. DTS has awakened me to a fresh focus on the leading of the Lord through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks to [brother] John for connecting me to the great family of God. May God lead me to the depths of his presence.

Hillary"

In February, Len received the following testimony from brother Grace, who is one our DTS graduates now serving as our DTS Facilitator for Uganda:

"Praise the Lord, brother Len!
I give God the glory for His saving power that is beyond explanation!

I have a neighbor whom everyone around has been fearing, and he never associated with people.  His wife came to our prayer altar for prayer, because of vomiting and not having eaten for a month, and God delivered her.

She asked us to pray for her husband's salvation. There were many issues surrounding their marriage that I cannot share here! Recently he sent his wife to let me go to his home; where he accepted the Lord as his Savior! The people around are praising God for that! All the glory and honor belong to Him, Amen!

And yet still a Moslem whom I preached to before, came for deliverance; he ran mad and was hospitalized. Last Saturday he was brought for deliverance, he and his wife received Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

Blessings brother,
Grace."

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in March to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Administrative Needs
We have two administrative needs for volunteer staff. We need someone to check our PO Box occasionally in NH. We need a new bookkeeper -- someone who knows how to use Quickbooks, who is willing to do some very light bookkeeping. It's less than fourteen hours of work per year. Please let us know if you or anyone you know might be interested in one of these opportunities to serve the Lord.

Resources: We would like to remind you that Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For allowing us to celebrate Len's birthday.
  2. For blessing the children with the opportunity to watch our friends' children for a few days.
  3. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students.
  4. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to help Faith find another job since she is not getting enough hours at her new one.
  2. For the Lord to heal Faith and Len from eczema.
  3. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students in the hardships they're experiencing and assist them in any life challenges they may be experiencing
  4. For the Lord to heal brother Max's father completely.
  5. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  6. For a new bookkeeper and someone to check our PO Box in NH.
  7. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group), and help them finish all their course work for the current quarter by the end of this month.
  8. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  9. For the Lord to raise up new faith partners, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
