April Update -- 2022

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Jesus Christ is risen from the dead!

Family
: In April, the boys took spring break from their home school studies, which they are currently enjoying. One of their outings was a lovely walk in the park together. You can see some pictures of it at the "More Photos" link below.

Faith was rehired in March at the place where she got her first job last year. You may recall that after she was hired last year at that place, she had only worked part of her first day on the job before she had to quit over a matter of principle that we were unwilling to compromise on. The Lord has now vindicated her, and she was rehired. Praise the Lord!

Charity is still hopeful that her employer will resume giving her more full time hours, rather than part time, and we are praying to that end for her. She saw the Lord move powerfully at work in a relationship with a coworker that was mistreating her badly. She prayed for that person and gave her a birthday gift (Matthew 5:44 and Romans 12:20-21), which that person was not expecting, and the Lord so deeply touched that lady's heart that she is now getting along very peacefully with Charity. Praise the Lord!

On another note, both Charity and Faith have been sharing Jesus with their coworkers, and we are praying for the salvation of their souls. You could join us in remembering Isaiah, Danielle, and Eddie in prayer.

One of our board Members, Dave Wenrich, has resigned from his pastoral leadership at Boston Harbor Community Church. He and his wife Beth have started a ministry called MaxLife to provide counseling to pastors and their wives who cannot afford it. He is on sabbatical until May 17th. The website should be up by the week of April 18th, which will be www.max-life.org, so we recommend bookmarking it and checking back once it is live on the web.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in eight nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, India, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

In March, sister Rebecca in South Sudan had the following amazing testimony:

One Sunday after church they went as a group to pray for a lady who has been ill for a very long time. She accepted Christ as her Savior, and after two days she went to be with the Lord. Their happiness was that God waited for this lady until she repented to take her home to be with Him.

Brother Grace in Uganda also sent us this testimony in March:

Greetings brother Len in Jesus Mighty Name!
I'm testifying of God's healing; when you prayed for my shoulder last time; the pain disappeared instantly.

Yesterday I was able to do some digging and clearing of the compound without feeling any pain, God is awesome, glory to Him!

Your brother,
Grace."

Praise the Lord!

Len received the following email from brother John in India in April:

"My dear brother Len,

Greetings to you in the most precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your letter. Yes, the DTS courses brought many changes in my spiritual understanding of the Word of God. LTG meetings also give me the satisfaction of sharing the Word of God with another brother.

I thank you brother Len,
Humbly,
John Sobhan"

Brother John in Uganda sent in the following testimony in April:

"Greetings in the name above all names! It's my great pleasure to thank God, Bro Len and Sister Jennifer,

This DTS is indeed a great work of enlightening the eyes of people and letting darkness go. Every truth is a light to us [that] drives away darkness (ignorance). God said through the prophet Hosea, "my people perish due to lack of knowledge". We are forever grateful for this great work of imparting such knowledge to us. My life will never remain the same again, and the kingdom of God will be advanced at a greater level through this knowledge gained in this DTS.
Bro John Babu Uganda"

In April, brother Max shared the following testimony:

Praise the Lord, I would like to testify of the wonderful things that the Lord has done in my life through the DTS and the LTG group.

The program running through the LTG has constantly helped me to keep watch over my spiritual life and actions for the examination of my life's faith.

I experienced unusual strength throughout the season [during which] my late Dad was ill. God indeed helped me to keep strong by the prayers of the saints. The passing of my father has [brought] eight souls to the Lord, and I am discipling one [of them named] Patrick through the LTG meeting.

Finally, I [eventually passed] a test with a university for further studies and I'm so grateful. I know this is all because of what DTS has done in my life. Blessings for ever more!"

In April, Len received the following testimony from brother Martin in Uganda:

"I joined DTS last year. From that moment up to now, I have learned a lot...The...LTG helps us to attract many youths and women to participate....

DTS has contributed a lot to our ministry among refugees [in] Uganda. Below are testimonies from some of our church members:

'Now I can stand strong before people, I can also preach the Word of God. L.T.G will make me a leader tomorrow. -- Ayella.'

'LTG has really changed my life and made me understand the Word of God. And I can now preach His word to people who are still in the world. I pray that God may change many other people to His way for the glory of His name. Amen. -- Bakhita.'

'Through LTG I can now read the Bible, and I will not go backward...now we can share the Word of God among ourselves and to the people who still don't know God. -- Meya.'

'LTG always makes me next to the Word of God, and it draws me near to the kingdom of God. -- Malaki'

Martin in Uganda"

In April, Len received the following testimony from sister Joyce in Uganda:

Dear Leonard,

Calvary greetings! I am super grateful to the Almighty for enabling me to pursue this wonderful course. [Since] the time I enrolled, I am empowered and bolder about the Word of God. This [has led] me [to begin] sharing the Word every morning in the Nursing and Midwifery class that I teach.

This course [has] opened my heart to fast every Friday thanking God for the success of the week and every Monday to commence the week with the Holy Spirit. I pray for grace to understand more hidden treasure from this training

My best regards.
Joyce"

Brother Yatta in Uganda wrote the following testimony to Len in April:

Praise the Lord,

[Since] I was enrolled [in the DTS], my prayer life has deepened, and [I] developed [a] love for the Bible, which is the Word of God, more than it was before. I have seen through [my LTG partners] within [a] one-month period that they [have been] able to encounter God through prayer, [which is] something that they had never done [or] experienced in their lives.

I thank God for the DTS and LTG program, looking forward [to] more encounters with God and for a life transforming journey in this course.

God bless you.
Yatta"

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in April to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Note: Some words in the recorded testimonies above have been changed to correct the grammar and spelling, and to enhance their clarity and readability. This was done without changing the meaning.

Resources: We would like to remind you that Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling Faith to be rehired at her first job at the grocery store Deli/Bakery, which now provides her with enough hours of employment in addition to her other part time job at the restaurant.
  2. For the nice break the boys are having from their home school studies, and that Jennifer is having from teaching.
  3. For the breakthrough that Charity experienced at work with her difficult coworker.
  4. For the new MaxLife ministry that our brother Dave Wenrich has started.
  5. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students and their brethren in Christ.
  6. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  7. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to heal Faith and Len from eczema.
  2. For the Lord to provide Charity with full time hours.
  3. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students in the hardships they're experiencing and assist them in any life challenges they may be experiencing
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group), and help them finish all their course work for the current quarter by the end of this month.
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  7. For the Lord to raise up new faith partners, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
