December Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: The Lord blessed us all with a wonderful Thanksgiving Day celebration in November, when we all got together for the traditional meal, before which we all gave thanks to God for His many blessings in our lives. It was a very special time together. Prior to dinner, a few of us took a lovely walk together in the park. It was a very special time together (see photos at the link below).

Christopher has been accepted for enrollment at a local technical college, where he plans to begin studying for his Associates degree in IT next month. We continue to pray and believe God to provide him with a well-paying job in his field.

Christopher is also scheduled for oral surgery to remove his four wisdom teeth on Thursday, December 21st.  Due to the fact that his teeth are impacted, it is considered a difficult procedure, even for a wisdom tooth extraction. Please pray that all goes well during surgery with no adverse drug reactions, no complications, and a speedy recovery after surgery with no dry sockets, no infections, and no need for follow up medical care (eg., to stop the bleeding).

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its eighth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in five nations including Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, South Sudan, and the United Kingdom.

In December, Max, who is one of our students in Uganda, sent the following praise report to Len:

"Hello, praise God, dear brother Len. I am so excited to testify about what the Lord is doing in my life through DTS school. I feel blessed to believe that yes, God is transforming me by being in the DTS program. As I started studying Third year second quarter, I quickly noticed a sudden change in my spirit as I received the joy of the Holy Spirit. I feel thrilled in my bones as I kept on reading.

What blesses me most is the course work reading "the beauty of brokenness."

Praise the Lord for what He's doing in brother Max's life.

His wife, sister Rebecca, also shared the following testimony:

"Praise the Lord Jesus, Brother Len,

I am glad to testify that, by the grace of God, I just finished the last quarter, and am now in a new one. I have been able to learn new things from the Word of God, while reading and studying the course works. For example, in The Kingdom of God II course during my last quarter, it was interesting to know how many physical things are translated to spiritual things and vice versa (e.g., bread from heaven appearing on earth), and learning about the nature of God's Kingdom. That subject, among many others, has added virtue to my faith.

I also thank God, who has kept us alive and healthy. My daughter has been sick, and God healed her. My dad is still undergoing treatment after the successful operation, of which we are continuing to believe God for complete healing.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to minister the word of encouragement to my clients, who are HIV positive, and many were surely encouraged and strengthened. This is as a result of the knowledge I have acquired from different aspects of the DTS training, (i.e. weekly Bible reading, course work, and LTG meetings).

Thank you, God bless you

Sis Rebecca."

Once again, we can truly say, "Praise God" for what He's been doing in her life.

In December, Len received the following note from sister Catherine in England, who is one of our students there:

"Dear brother Len and sister Jennifer.

At 3:00 am at night, I woke up from a dream, and our Lord gave me the interpretation of it.

In the dream, I was sitting in a big room, and Christians from Church were seated all around the room, with a coffee table in the middle with Holy Bibles and candles on it. It was like a big prayer meeting.

Then a tall angel in white appeared, and he had a bow and arrow in his hands; and he walked all round the room until he came to a man seated next to me. Then the angel shot the man dead with his bow and arrow in the man's heart. Then I woke up.

The Lord interpreted it and said to me, 'In the dream, the man sitting next to you in the prayer meeting was a wolf in sheep's clothing, and you were his biggest threat. But My servant killed him to protect you, and I will protect My Church as long as they obey Me and My words. My Church needs to wake up. It is time for me to judge the Churches and punish the wolves in sheep's clothing. And I am asking my people to pray for discernment, as there are too many false gospels being preached, tickling people's ears and compromising with the world, therefore ignoring my commandments, allowing the spirit of lawlessness in, dirtying My Church, and the dress code of many of My daughters, wearing trousers or tights, revealing too much, and makeup and earrings. The Scriptures say it is forbidden for women to wear men's clothing. And my sons with open shirts and trousers on their hips. Christians will end up in hell, if they don't repent. And now is the time to witness the power of this, as an urgent warning to My Church through My Holy Spirit, as time is running out. This dream is a warning to my Church, and it's time to judge the false prophets. So Church, please be alert and be ready for Me, as the rapture will be in a twinkling of an eye. And remember the parable of the ten virgins.'

Our Lord wants His message witnessed to all His Church. This experience has made me feel more determined to witness and be more alert. I was quite scared to think that the devil sat next to me in a prayer meeting, a wolf in sheep's clothing, but greatly comforted that our Lord will protect us. I am praying for you all. Bless you all.

With love in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sister Catherine"

That was an amazing dream and interpretation the Lord gave to her, which bears witness and aligns with His Word. She said it occurred on December 9th. Please take it before the Lord and ask Him for discernment, as with any dream, vision, or revelation.

A very short, five-minute video of Catherine's testimony was published by God TV, which you can watch here. It's about how she was raised to life at age seventeen, after being dead for twenty minutes.

Len received the following report from brother Tom, who is a pastor in Uganda overseeing several churches:

"Dear brother Leonard,

The Lord responded to your prayers for our crusade. We hosted up to five thousand people. Two hundred fifty four people got saved. We made a follow up and managed to baptize eighty-seven new converts. We give God all the glory for His marvelous work of salvation to the lost souls. Several church leaders from different denominations also attended. These are some of the new converts who were baptized (see photo)."

Praise the Lord. You can also check out the following article about what the Lord has done earlier this year through his Jesus Film ministry: Hundreds Saved in Uganda Through Jesus Film

We would like to share with you a brief article highlighting the ministries of three of our graduates at the following link.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in December to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. We encourage you to read it also, as it contains some excellent articles you won't find anywhere else.

Note: Some words in the recorded testimonies above may have been changed to correct the grammar and spelling, and to enhance their clarity and readability. This was done without changing the meaning.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For a blessed Thanksgiving Day celebration together as a family, giving thanks to God.
  2. For Christopher's acceptance into the college.
  3. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students, especially the hundreds of souls that have been saved through their ministries, and the many disciples being multiplied through them!
  4. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to help Christopher to find an excellent, good-paying job in the IT field.
  2. For the Lord to help the oral surgeon to do an excellent job extracting Christopher's wisdom teeth, that there would be no complications, no adverse reactions, no infections, no dry sockets, and that the bleeding would stop within a reasonable period of time following surgery.
  3. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students.
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs

November Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: Christopher has gotten a job working in the same local grocery store deli where his sisters Hope and Faith work, and he enjoys it a lot. Praise the Lord for providing a job, but this is just so he can get some customer service experience until he can find an IT job in his field. Meanwhile, he continues to look for IT jobs online, and has applied for enrollment at a local technical college, where he plans to begin studying for his Associates degree in IT in January. We continue to pray and believe God to provide him with a well-paying job in his field.

We celebrated Hope's birthday in November. She turned twenty-three years old. The picture to the left is our celebration of Jennifer's birthday in October.

In November, Max, who is one of our students in Uganda, conducted an evangelistic outreach to a prison of 1,104 men, where they shared the gospel and witnessed for Christ. By the grace of God, they saw 136 inmates give their lives to Christ, which is over twelve percent of that prison's population. Praise the Lord!

He wrote: "Praise the Lord! I testify of God's greatness all through the course work study I'm undertaking with DTS, [as well as His] grace to learn and unlearn. This has increased my desire to serve the Lord. We are learning discipline from one another in our LTG meetings, as we share the five accountability questions. God be praised."

His wife, sister Rebecca, is also one of our students, and she shared the following praise report with us in November:

"Praise the Lord Jesus!

Brother Len,

I would like to testify of the good things that God has done for us. I shared the gospel and two ladies gave their lives to Christ.

My dad just under went an operation and it was successful. Let's continue to pray for complete healing. I thank God for the course works in DTS, LTG meetings, and daily Bible Readings. They continue to build me up spiritually. I also thank God for the grace He has granted us to do this course and for our supervisor Grace, who continues to encourage us. Glory be to God Almighty."

In October, we launched a crowdfunding campaign for Marina, a Bulgarian national Bible teacher whom Len has known for thirty years. We did so, because she had lost her car in a flood in September, and the Lord helped us raise $5,500 for her in a matter of a few hours. Of course, a used car costs a lot more than that in Bulgaria, but we trust that the Lord will use it to help her at least get herself a used car for transportation to wherever she needs to go, including her ministry at the Bible school. Thank you very much to those who generously gave! Marina was shocked by the show of compassion for her situation and the generosity of those who gave. When she first heard about it, she was at a loss for words. Thank you once again for caring and helping.

Len received the following note from sister Catherine in England, who is one of our students there:

"Dear brother Len and sister Jennifer.

I have got a small bit of news.

At the LTG group, our Lord gave me the Scripture, Mathew 18:19 to 20, where Jesus said, "I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

We prayed for Esther [my LTG partner], who had cancer of the stomach, and the next day when she went for tests at the hospital, they found no trace of cancer.

This week I watched Healing Streams on YouTube, and the minister prayed for healing for people watching, and I felt a warm burning in my stomach, and our Lord healed it.

Thank and praise our Lord. I am praying for you all.

Bless you all.
With love in Jesus Christ our Lord,

Sister Catherine"

Praise the Lord! What an amazing miracle the Lord did to heal sister Catherine's long-term issue in her belly, as well as her LTG partner, Esther's stomach cancer.

A very short, five-minute video of Catherine's testimony was published by God TV, which you can watch here. It's about how she was raised to life at age seventeen, after being dead for twenty minutes.

Len received the following report from brother Tom, who is a pastor in Uganda overseeing several churches, and who is entering into his final quarter of DTS training with us in two weeks:

He indicated that from August through November, he has continued using the free Jesus Film equipment he received in order to show the Jesus Film to 3,000 people in northern Uganda in the Luo, Acholi, and Lugbwara languages. This resulted in follow up being conducted with 700 people, 350 decisions being made for Christ, 20 small groups being formed, four new churches being planted, and 100 people being trained. His team gave evangelistic handouts to new believers and directed them to the newly-formed churches. They also assigned leaders to lead the new churches. Praise the Lord. You can also check out the following article about what the Lord has done earlier this year through his Jesus Film ministry: Hundreds Saved in Uganda Through Jesus Film

In November, Len received the following praise report from brother Justus in Uganda, who is a pastor there overseeing five churches, and is one of our DTS students:

"Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!

Brother Len,

Much blessings! God has been faithful and gracious to us. Last month from October 2nd to 6th, I called together all five churches of our ministry, including the senior pastors, assistant pastors, and deacons, and trained them for the work of God and the ministry.

The training focused on mobilizing missionaries of all nations who are passionate about living out the Great Commandments and Great Commission in their callings. [Our goal is for them] to go as revivalists (bearing much fruit), in and out of season, in and for the Kingdom. To God be the glory!

Thank you.

In and with Christ,

Justus"

Praise the Lord! To God be all the glory.

Len also received the following testimony from Mwendwa in Kenya:

"Praise the Lord

The DTS articles and my walk with the Lord daily are helping me grow more as a disciple of Christ. The area I see this in is evangelism. It is now becoming a regular part of my daily life. It wasn't easy at first, and I had a lot of anxiety; but as I grow close to the Lord and His word abides in me, I find He is giving me words to speak, [along with] wisdom and boldness. He is answering my prayers to love the lost as He does.

By God's grace He has also helped me write evangelism tracts on my website to share with others, and also I got a big box of John and Romans booklets, and tracts from a pastor I know. These are helping me a lot as I didn't have Bibles to give to new coverts. The last three weeks, I got to see four [people] give their lives to the Lord and share with many more around my neighborhood. I'm also giving out the tracts and the booklets as much as I can as I move around.

God bless.
Mwendwa "

  1. For a blessed time celebrating Jennifer's birthday, as well as Hope's.
  2. For Christopher's part time job in the deli.

October Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: Christopher has continued to apply for IT jobs online, but hasn't found anything yet after four months of trying. He has also applied for jobs outside his field to help him get some experience in customer service while he continues looking for employment. We continue to pray and believe God to provide him with a well-paying job in his field.

Meanwhile, Joseph is back in home school for his eighth grade. The girls are continuing to work at their jobs.

Jennifer, whose birthday is this weekend, and who has now been homeschooling our children for nearly twenty years, is continuing to teach Joseph, as usual, except that now, he is the only student remaining under her instruction. Please join us in praying for a very happy birthday for her this weekend.

Coincidentally, her birthday also marks the fifteenth year to the day since we arrived in Hungary. It has already been ten years since we returned to the States from the mission field.

Len received the following testimony in September from one of our newest students in Kenya, named Mwendwa:

Hello brother Len

I’ve had a burden to evangelize more, and conviction from the Lord. Three weeks ago, I approached two brothers in...church, and asked if we can do evangelism. They were eager. Today we had our first few hours of evangelism, and two souls gave their lives to Jesus. We got to witness to several more, whom we will pray for. My desire is to evangelize more as a way of life. God willing, we plan to train others and spread the fire of evangelism in the church as it is quite cold in many ways.

I've been able to share with the youth ministry, as the youth pastor asked me to share on a topic to help disciple them. Also I notice a greater discipline in my Bible study, because I know I am accountable to everyone in the school, and the same with prayer as well...The articles give me a greater reverence for God, a desire to be purely heavenly-minded, and a true disciple of the Lord Jesus to make heaven."

Praise the Lord!

Len received the following testimony from brother John in Nigeria, who is one of our DTS graduates and our Facilitator for that country:

"DTS is a transformative [school] for those truly committed to following the Master diligently. I am someone who has experienced God's immense mercy, especially when He guided me to connect with DTS during a period of spiritual wilderness. It was like a spiritual journey, and God's love for me was evident, as He helped elevate my faith from being an ordinary Christian to becoming a disciple of our Lord Jesus through my training at DTS. Throughout my life, DTS has been a school that has taught me the essential principles of walking and working in the light of God. I have learned the importance of preaching to myself before preaching to others, as DTS has instilled in me a sense of accountability in the life of a believer.

Brother John."

Praise the Lord! In addition to serving as our Facilitator for Nigeria, brother John also has a ministry of his own as a pastor for a church, as well as another one he founded called Tabernacle Light. He goes out into the marketplace with his PA system, evangelizing, preaching the Word, and showing videos with his portable projector.

Len received the following note from sister Catherine in England, who is one of our students there:

"Dear brother Len and sister Jennifer.

All I have had this week is my dream about my cousin Jane, and the message to tell Churches to be ready for the rapture to meet our Lord, because anytime during the coming year He will come, and many will be left behind if they are not ready.

And so far many Churches are not ready. This is so serious, as when the tribulation comes it will be terrible, as you know; and Christians that are left will be tortured and killed. Everyday we are getting closer.

I am praying for you and Jennifer and all of you. Bless you all!

With love in Jesus Christ our Lord,

Sis Catherine"

Praise the Lord! Time is definitely short. While no man knows the day or the hour (Mt 24:36), the Lord said we must know how to interpret the signs of the times (Mt 16:2-3; 24:32-33), which are currently indicating His return is near. We all need to be ready and stay ready (Mt 24:42, 44), so that day will not catch any of us by surprise.

In October, Len received the following praise report from brother Grace, who is one of our graduates in Uganda and our National Facilitator there:

"Dear brother Len,

I thank you for the good work you are doing by God's grace!

Since I joined the DTS and graduated, my knowledge of the Word has greatly improved! Whenever I read the Bible I get revelation of it and my ministering is by the power of the Holy Spirit;

More healing and deliverance is taking place; glory to God!

Thank you,

Your brother, Grace."

Praise the Lord! To God be all the glory.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in October to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. We encourage you to read it also, as it contains some excellent articles you won't find anywhere else.

September Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: In September, Len traveled to New Hampshire by plane for the burial of one of his sisters. He spent three days and three nights there at the home of a brother in Christ. At the burial and reception, he was reunited with his sisters and many other relatives whom he hadn't seen for years. Praise the Lord for His protection from accidents during the trip, as there were a few close calls, but He had His angels around us keeping us all safe.

Christopher continues to apply for positions that he is qualified for, but still has not been offered a job. It has been very quiet. Searching for a job these days is mostly an online experience, unlike in the past when it used to involve going to businesses, applying within, and then following up in person. Many of these jobs he applies for online do not even reply to him, and there is no way to follow up with them after he sends in his resume with a cover letter. So all he can do is continue to apply for more positions as we all continue to pray.

Meanwhile, Christopher has been serving as technical support lead for our ministry, helping us here in the States, as well as helping out students overseas. He's also been serving as National Facilitator for Kenya.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its eighth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in five nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Sudan, and the United Kingdom.

We have a new student in Uganda, named Maureen that has recently enrolled in our DTS after brother Grace, one of our graduates there, who's a pastor, talked with her about the school and invited her to apply for enrollment.

She indicated on her enrollment application, "I want to enroll for the course because I have a gift to serve God. I want to serve God with the full understanding of His Word, [especially] in these last days."

Praise the Lord for bringing her into our midst, so that we can disciple her. We welcome her and look forward to serving her over the next three years of our journey together with her.

Brother Henry in South Sudan, who is one of our students there, sent us this testimony in September, after he finished studying Angelic Encounters as part of our DTS course called Angelology II:

"Brother Len,

This subject sounds too real. When I went through reading all the testimonies in this chapter, I [realized that] I also had [once] experienced the same. In 2021, when I was coming from the field for the work of God, I was in the vehicle alone. The vehicle lost control, overturned three times, and hit electric poles, plus the transformer fell on the vehicle. The whole vehicle was crushed, but I was inside alive. I didn't even have any scars, and everyone around thought I was dead, but I was okay and not feeling any pain. I believe this was an angelic encounter.

Glory be to God.

My best regards,

Bro Henry."

Praise the Lord for our brother's amazing testimony of a miraculous escape from a serious accident that could have ended his life. It certainly seems like the Lord had his angels around brother Henry to protect him.

We would like to share a praise report regarding sister Catherine, one of our DTS students in England, who was recently interviewed in her home on God TV, Randy Kay, and Fishers of Men (Halifax), in order to share her testimony. She wrote to us in September:

"Dear broth Len and sis Jennifer,

Last week at a Church meeting, a new lady came to our Church, Sarah, and I gave her my testimony. She got saved, as we prayed the prayer of salvation. Now she wants to get baptized which is wonderful. Thank and praise our Lord.

Then this week I had a dream about being at church and teaching the Second Chapter of Acts. Jesus came and said, 'Tell my Church to learn and do the Second Chapter of Acts, and go out and spread the gospel, casting out demons, and healing the sick, and praying for my Church to wake up and bring  revival.' As Jesus said this, it reminded me of His message from a vision I had in December 2022  that we are running out of time to spread the gospel and save lost souls. We all have an urgent mission. So I continue to pray and work towards witnessing more to the lost.

I am praying for you all. Bless you all.

With love in our Lord Jesus Christ,

Sis Catherine"

Praise the Lord! You can read two articles about Catherine's two encounters in heaven here called Teen Dies, Enters Heaven, Meets Jesus -- Catherine's Testimony and Catherine Hughes' Second Encounter in Heaven.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in September to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

  1. For the Lord's protection over Len, Jennifer, and the boys in all the travels associated with his trip to New Hampshire for his sister's burial.
  2. For the opportunity sister Catherine had to share her testimony at church, and for the woman who got saved when she prayed with her.
  3. For bringing sister Maureen in Uganda into our DTS.
  4. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Prayer needs:

August Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: In August, Christopher continued to search for employment, applying for many jobs online, submitting his cover letter and resume to many employers. But so far, none have called him for an interview, except for one that asked him to send in a video of himself sharing about his qualifications. That was the Christian academy we mentioned last month. They never reached back out to him, except for an automated email he got from them when he followed up. Please remember him in prayer for employment.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its eighth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in six nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Sudan, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

We have a new student in Kenya, named Mwendwa, that has recently enrolled in our DTS after discovering us through Len's articles online that she had been reading.

She recently came back to the Lord, following nine years of backsliding in sin after she initially came to the Lord in 2002. Although she spent years in bondage and the New Age, even coaching others in that deception, the Lord has been merciful to her and faithful to bring her back to Himself through repentance and faith in Christ.

She says regarding her reason for enrolling: "I desire to grow as a true disciple of Jesus, gain a deeper understanding of correct Christian doctrine, have a living and holy relationship with Jesus that truly makes me a light of the world and also to be able to use my gifts to be a faithful servant and win souls for Jesus."

Praise the Lord for bringing her back to Himself and bringing her into our midst, so that we can disciple her. We look forward to serving her over the next three years of our journey together with her. Please take a moment to read her abbreviated testimony called Delivered from Bondage and New Age Deception.

Brother Max in Uganda, who is one of our students there, sent us this testimony in August:

"Praise king Jesus! I'm grateful for what God is doing in my Life and family through DTS.

I am encouraged to serve the Lord and to always take responsibility and be accountable to my group members and pray for souls as well as sharing the love of Jesus with people.

We are also thanking God for giving us victory in baptizing two people in this month.

Lastly I would like to testify of God's continuous provision. I give him all the glory.

God blessings be upon us all."

We give God the glory for what He's doing in brother Max's life including the two people he baptized into Christ this month.

We would like to share a praise report regarding sister Catherine, one of our DTS students in England, who was recently interviewed in her home on God TV, in order to share her testimony. She wrote to us in August:

"Dear brother Len and sis Jennifer,

"Time is running out to witness before the Lord raptures the Church, so I have been fasting and praying about witnessing more and for the Churches and for revival. I have had a greater urgency to witness to the lost. Our Lord helped me to present my testimony with Randy Kay on Youtube, then a few months later the ‘God TV’ crew came to make a video of an interview of my testimony, [for] broadcast in September. Then I was invited to a Church in Halifax, and gave my testimony, [after which] three young people got saved. Thank and praise our Lord. The Halifax Church invited me to help them with street evangelism, which I’ve begun doing. So our Lord has answered my prayers and I continue to obey our Lord to witness.

With love in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sis Catherine"

Praise the Lord! In a follow up email from her just as this newsletter was being published, she said regarding her trip to Halifax, "We went street witnessing on Saturday (Aug 12th), and some people got saved. Sunday we went to Dewsbury Gospel Church [10 miles east of Halifax], and I gave my testimony just before the minister gave his sermon." You can read two articles about Catherine's two encounters in heaven here called Teen Dies, Enters Heaven, Meets Jesus -- Catherine's Testimony and Catherine Hughes' Second Encounter in Heaven.

We would also like to welcome back sister Dorcas in South Africa, who originally enrolled in the DTS in December 2020, but has been out of the school for nearly a year and a half.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in August to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. We encourage you to read it also.

Partnership Opportunity: If the Lord is leading you to financially support this important ministry, which is impacting the lives of so many people for Christ around the world by the grace of God, your cheerful obedience to Him would be greatly appreciated. Our partners are a vital part of what we're doing, and we'd love for you to be one of them!

  1. For the opportunity sister Catherine has to share her testimony publicly on Fishers of Men in Halifax, England
  2. For bringing sister Mwendwa in Kenya back to Himself and into our DTS.
  3. For bringing sister Dorcas back into the school.
  1. For the Lord to help Christopher to find an excellent, good-paying job in the IT field.
  2. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students.
  3. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  4. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  5. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs

July Update -- 2023

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: In July, Christopher continued to search for employment, applying for many jobs online, submitting his cover letter and resume to many employers. But so far none have called him for an interview.

One job he applied for seems like it would be perfect for him. It's a Support Desk Administrator position with a Christian Academy, in which he would be working remotely from home. They want someone who loves Jesus, loves children, and loves to solve problems. The website indicated that around 351 other people also applied for the position. Please pray that he gets the job.

We mentioned last month that the girls -- Faith, Hope, and Charity -- recently moved into their own apartment, and have a need for various furniture items. The Lord provided them with an old, wooden dining room set that was in decent condition, which Len and Christopher picked up for them and delivered to their place in a truck. Please pray that the Lord will provide all the furniture they need.

Jennifer got called up for jury duty, but when she reported for duty, they released her without requiring her to serve, which was an answer to prayer. Joseph also completed his scholastic achievement tests at the end of the school year, and is currently enjoying summer break from school.

One of our DTS students in Uganda, sister Christine, has recently completed her three-year training with us. She was an excellent student throughout her training. She would always submit an in-depth, well-written document containing all of her lessons learned for each of the courses she completed each quarter, as well as the highlights she enjoyed the most.

She also maintained her weekly LTG discipleship meetings, while also participating actively in her local church. And one thing that made it all especially challenging for her was that she works in another city a long distance from where she lives. So she has to commute to work at the beginning of each week, remain throughout the week in the location where she works, and then commute back home for the weekend.

When she enrolled in the DTS in June 2020, she stated, "I want to enroll...so that I can get to know God more, walk with Him always, and learn how to make Him known to other people effectively." When she was asked in June, after completing all of her coursework, whether she reached her goal, she stated:

"Yes I have met my goal through DTS. Through DTS training I have learnt a lot about God, about man, and what is expected of me as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Further my knowledge of God has increased. I do not boast in this knowledge, but my prayer is that I remain focused, my eyes forever fixed unto the Lord Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our salvation.

Moreover, I have been taught what the life of a servant of God should be, and how to make God known in the right way; and not be silent, but declare the gospel of the Lord Jesus without fear. Sincerely I can say that DTS exceeded my expectations, in terms of the personal goals I had hoped to achieve through it. Glory be to God Almighty.

God's blessings rest upon you all. Thank you."

Praise the Lord! To God be all the glory.  We held her graduation ceremony by conference call on July 14th, and the Lord truly blessed us with His presence. Her husband was present, and her pastor, who presented her DTS diploma to her, as well as her DTS transcript, both of which Len sent to him in advance for printing. They laid hands on her and prayed for her, as we all prayed for her also.

In July, Len received the following testimony from brother Henry in South Sudan, who is one of our DTS students there and a pastor:

"Dear bro Len,

I am so grateful to God for one woman who accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and savior during our door to door evangelism and her zeal for Christ is extraordinary.

Yours faithfully,
Bro Henry."

Hallelujah! We share in his excitement and gratitude for this one sinner who repented. There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent. This woman is that one lost sheep who was found, and another one of satan's former captives who has now been set free.

In July, Len received the following testimony from one of our graduates in Kenya, brother Ibrahim, who received a scholarship to study Data Science for fourteen months:

"Dear Brother Len,

During the last month (June) I received a call for an interview from DanChurchAid Kenya which I participated in. The HR informed me that there would be two more (written and oral) if I happen to pass the first. Within 3 days I received an email to attend the oral interview which I did, and the HR informed me that they had cancelled the second one. On the same day I was requested to avail my references and within a week I got the internship opportunity as a Data Analysis and Reporting Assistant Intern for one year. And beginning the third week of internship, we traveled from Nairobi to Eldoret, and for the first time in life, I boarded a plane. This is what The Lord has done for me, brother Len.

Always thank you for keeping me in prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Ibrahim Ambale."

Praise the Lord! Surely the Lord has done great things for brother Ibrahim, and we rejoice with him. Please pray that he will do well on all his exams and complete his training successfully.

We would like to share a praise report regarding sister Catherine, one of our DTS students in England, who will soon be interviewed on God TV, in order to share her testimony. She wrote to us in July:

"Dear brother Len and sis Jennifer,

I have now finished the five Fire books in the amazing DTS. I found the stories of going to hell really got to me a lot. They made me think of the seriousness of our sins every day, to repent more and more, to keep our Lord's Commandments… to strive to be more obedient every day, to draw closer with our Lord, to pray without ceasing, and to witness at every opportunity with great urgency.

The stories of visits to Heaven gave me a lot of encouragement, and they helped me to realise how much our Lord loves us so much, which is so amazing, because growing up I never knew any love until I met Jesus face to face.

I strongly recommend all Christians to read the 5 Fire Books. They have changed my life and brought me much closer to our Lord.

The [folks from] God TV are coming with their cameras to interview me about my testimony on Wednesday 19th July 2023. So this witness will be on TV soon.

With love in our Lord Jesus Christ,

Sis Catherine."

Praise the Lord!

Brother Max in Uganda, who is one of our students there, sent us this testimony in July:

"Praise be to Jesus, dear brother Len. Thanks for always serving us. It's my prayer that God will preserve you and your family.

I testify of God's provision for me and my family including the grace to balance between my concurrent studies. l am reading a lot, which is [made possible by the] grace given by God for me to do so.

Secondly, through my LTG group meeting I testify of the fact that my personal life has changed as the five accountability questions help to shape my life. My relationship with the Holy Spirit has moved my hearing of God's voice to a better level, being mindful of others [besides] myself. I can clearly see [the difference from how I was] before I joined DTS.

Thank you for all you are doing to the glory of God."

Brother Martin, one of our DTS students in Uganda, who is also a pastor, sent us the following praise report in July, during his extended trip to his homeland in South Sudan:

"Hello brother Len,

I greet you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I’m still in Juba, which is the capital of South Sudan. South Sudan is very expensive in terms of rental and feeding. However, I met new friends here in Juba, and God has opened the door for me to start door-to-door outreach to encourage people who are among the poorest of S. Sudan.  I’m really thankful to God who helped me to join DTS.

I started my LTG group last week here in Juba. Thank you. Please remember us in your prayers!

Brother Martin Kuku."

Len received the following testimony from brother Grace in Uganda, who is a pastor and one of our DTS graduates.

"Praise the Lord, brother Len,

I thank God who is sustaining our family amid severe trials! There is every reason to step back; [but] when the trials grow severe, God  always prevails!

And again amid all these, our ministry of healing and deliverance is still going on by God's grace. I still receive calls from people seeking deliverance throughout.  Thank you, Jesus!

Bro Grace."

How wonderful to get this report from brother Grace, who is remaining grateful to God, and continuing to serve Him in the midst of fiery trials. Let's continue to remember him in our prayers, as he is truly making an impact for Christ there in Uganda, and is a great help to us, too.

Two of our students, brothers Shadrach and Stanley, are still in need of LTG partners. Please continue to pray that they will find partners.

  1. For the opportunity for Joseph and Jennifer to take a break from home school studies for the summer.
  2. For the way Jennifer was released from jury duty without having to serve.
  3. For helping sister Christine meet and exceed her DTS goals, and blessing us with a wonderful celebration of her graduation from DTS.

  5. For the Lord to expedite the close of sister Collete's business deal so she can get paid.
  6. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students.
  7. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  8. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  9. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
