Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.
Family: In April, we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord healed Jennifer from her nasty head cold that we asked you to pray about last month, and then he healed Christopher, too, after he got sick with the same thing. The Lord also helped Christopher get his latest medical bill paid by the Workman's Comp insurance.
Our son Joseph has also completed a special course in automotive locksmithing. Meanwhile he is continuing with his regular homeschool studies as usual, while Christopher continues working at his IT job.
Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its tenth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples actively training in four nations including Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda.
We continue working closely with three of our graduates in South Sudan, Uganda, and Nigeria, as they are continuing their Phase III campaigns to complete the Great Commission. Their focus is on discipleship, multiplication of disciples, and leadership development, as they provide oversight and accountability for the elders hey have mentored and appointed in these fellowships.
Their latest updated testimonies of the amazing things the Lord has been doing in their Phase III campaigns are found at the links below, which we hope you will take a moment to read:
Here are some highlights.
Uganda Highlights
Our brother Grace in Uganda, who has now planted fourteen new fellowships there, has seen the Lord doing amazing things.
Here are some excerpts from his updates and testimony:
"Brother Len, we are one with you in moving forward this marvelous work; thank you for the mentorship, and for laboring with us as we bring the love of Christ to our communities!"
"Brother Len, we are one with you in moving forward this marvelous work; thank you for the mentorship, and for laboring with us as we bring the love of Christ to our communities!"
In the Nakatunya fellowship, "there is practical evangelistic campaign happening, discipleship, prayer meetings for ministry, healing and deliverance...and there is multiplication."
In the Otucopi fellowship, "There is excitement generally...of the new life in Jesus Christ! They are also overwhelmed by more coming to the Lord! Discipleship and multiplication is evident."
In the Acida fellowship, "Discipleship is taking deeper root; Bible reading is moving well with testimonies. It's a joy to mentor [brother Moses} and Stephen, etc in leadership development. There is generally a hunger for more of God and the Word here. The Holy Spirit move is evident."
In the Celtel fellowship, "We have discipleship and multiplication ongoing with believers embracing well the Great Commission. Brother Peter and Yokolamu [are] attending the leadership development training well. They are overjoyed with the teachings."
In the Kampala fellowship, in the nation's capital, "We were overwhelmed witnessing the transforming power of the gospel in believers' lives as they begin to witness to the communities by themselves...boldly preaching the gospel of our Lord. Discipleship is consistent...Leadership development is life changing."
In the Awoja fellowship, "Julius, the husband to sister Rose who hosts the Church, accepted the Lord yesterday with another three ladies, making the total number of 39 believers. We were all overjoyed, especially sister Rose, as brother Julius has been defiant generally! Rose is recovering slowly [from the blood clot in her leg]." He later reported, "Rose is very happy, as her husband is now a man of love, is now responsible, and they have peace for the first time in their home! Sister Alice also testifies her husband has left other 3 women and is back home for her and the family just as I had told her would happen! There is much joy here in the fellowship!"
"Praise the Lord brother Len, "I thank God for having been part of the DTS; it has helped me in ministry; I have seen hundreds of people come to the Lord, many healings, deliverances, and miracles! I have also been able to start up churches in Jesus' Mighty Name.
"Be blessed, dear brother,
"Your bro Grace."
Please continue to pray for the ongoing work that brother Grace and his team are doing in Uganda. They truly need our prayers as they travel to some very remote places on dirt roads. One of the areas of special need for prayer is for continued clear, mud-free roads during the current rainy season. Let's also remember sister Rose in prayer to be healed from the blood clot in her leg.
Nigeria Highlights
Brother John in Nigeria shared with us about the amazing things God is doing there through his ministry efforts across the eight active fellowships that he has planted with his team. Here are some excerpts from his recent updates:
In the Ohong, he says, "This is a strong spiritual center. There are many signs of the Holy Spirit such as speaking in tongues, baptisms, and deliverance...The fellowship is progressing and expanding with encouraging signs of maturity among disciples. Participation is strong, and leadership is functioning effectively. The environment supports multiplication, and members are actively engaging in LTG activities."
In the Betukwel fellowship, "The spiritual environment remains highly responsive, and the fellowship continues to experience fresh growth."
In the Kakum fellowship, "The work here continues to advance with consistent discipleship activity. Leadership oversight is strong, and members demonstrate high commitment. The fellowship is stable and positioned for multiplication with sustained LTG participation."
In the prison fellowship, "There has been a major spiritual breakthrough here. Many inmates are turning away from occult practices. Recently, more people openly renounced such involvement and received deliverance. There are strong testimonies, including individuals who were involved in harmful practices but are now free. One person, known for dangerous acts, testified of complete freedom after deliverance....There is clear evidence of repentance, openness, and spiritual transformation within the fellowship. The atmosphere remains receptive, and disciples are showing strong commitment to growth."
"There is clear evidence that the ministry is making progress. Lives are changing through deliverance, healing, and discipleship. Members are becoming more serious about their faith, and leadership is improving across the fellowships."
Glory to God. Please continue to join us through your prayers in helping support what God is doing through brother John and his team in Nigeria. While he has set an elder in place in the Ukwel fellowship, they still need to identify elders for the Karu I fellowship.
South Sudan Highlights
Brother Henry in South Sudan provided the following encouraging update on March 11th:
"Dear bro Len,
"I really don't know how to even explain this. These three ministry campaign phases have added much value in terms of souls who were on their way to hell previously, and now on their way to heaven. And they have also added great value to churches that didn't exist, but are now growing and experiencing God. To be honest with myself, as the Holy Spirit is my witness, my eyes were not opened this way before, when it comes to soul winning and discipleship. I was concentrating in Juba, and everything was done by me.
"After I had finished my course with DTS, I was also able to feel and build confidence that I am leading people in the right way by the grace of God. However, what my close relationship with bro Len has done especially in these three phases, is that I have acquired more knowledge in the concept of discipleship. I have learned more about how the LTG system operates, and discovered that it's very helpful in multiplying disciples. I doubt if those fellowships, and the souls who are won to Jesus, would really happen, if it were not for these Phases.
"To God alone be all the glory forever and ever. Amen.
"Even the church of Juba that I planted four years ago was reestablished through these phases. The speed at which the church is growing I have never seen before, especially as we are going through these phases. We are even looking into how we can get some more chairs, because the numbers have increased greatly. Even those who had become backslidden, by the grace of God we were able to follow them up, minister to them, and they are now back into the fellowship. This is all because of these teachings that I have received from you. I give all the glory to God.
"Bro Henry."
Praise the Lord for what He is doing through brother Henry, keeping him safe in some very dangerous situations.
One of brother Henry's disciples, a former prostitute named Angel, had gotten saved through his ministry and left a prosperity-focused cult church led by a false prophet This man blesses prostitutes in his church, knowing full well that they are earning a living. He coordinates with two of his associates. This group lured Angel back onto their turf under the pretense of coming to retrieve her belongings one night, and while she was among them, they murdered her. Brother Henry recently officiated her burial service.
Although he reported the murder to the police, nobody has been arrested or brought to justice. Since then, the false prophet and his associates have been placing strange phone calls to brother Henry, but he is not intimidated by them. Their ministry has been seriously weakened by the true gospel work that brother Henry is doing, and they feel threatened by it. In one such call, Yusuf attempted to bribe brother Henry with the offer of a car, in order to come and join the cult church, but brother Henry refused it. Pray that the Lord will protect brother Henry from them, take away all their supernatural powers, and bring Angel's murderers to justice.
Len sent out his monthly edition of the Old News That's Still Fresh in April, as he usually does each month. We hope you'll take a moment to read the content that he has published.
