November 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In November we celebrated Hope's seventeenth birthday with a party, cake, cards, gifts, and prayer.

In October, one night at bedtime devotions, we had quite an usual experience during our Bible reading. As we were reading a particular portion of Scripture about destruction, we heard a great big boom! Len has written an article about it, which you can see here. We think you will find it very interesting, especially the Afterword that highlights some excerpts from the local news about the amazing incident.

We mentioned in our last update that Christopher had injured his knee falling off his bike, and the Lord had begun a rapid healing immediately after we prayed for him. Within a day or two after we published our last newsletter, asking for prayer for his knee, all the residual pain that remained in his knee was completely gone. Praise the Lord!

As we previously wrote to you, Len had also injured his knees somehow, especially his left knee, which has been painful. It has improved, but still is not back to normal, so he has begun physical therapy for it.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Rwanda.

Stephen Ayodele Benjamin
We have a new student enrolled in our program named Stephen Ayodele Benjamin in Nigeria, who is the younger brother of Dr. Theophilus Ayodele that we have mentioned before. Stephen is in his final semester of University preparing to receive his degree in Mathematics. He was saved in 2005 and stated that after praying and meditating on the opportunity to enroll in our DTS, he wants to do so. Here is the reason he gave for doing so:

"Having gone through the DTS's statement of belief, Vision and Mission, I will like to enroll in their discipleship program to be under a discipler, trained and equipped to become an effective vessel in the hand of God for his use in this end time." He is sincerely looking forward to beginning his training with us on December 1st. Please pray that the Lord would use our lives and training to meet and exceed the expectations he has for the DTS.

In October, Len received good news from Deji, one of our DTS students in Nigeria, saying that the two brothers he invited to be in a Life Transformation Group (LTG) with him have accepted his invitation. He wrote:

"We will be starting a new LTG on Saturday October 21 by God's grace. It [is] starting with three members...These brothers have given their lives to Christ and want to follow him. One resigned from his job as the operator of a betting house when he began to understand the Lord's requirement.  God bless you sir." Praise the Lord!

Len later received the subsequent emails from Deji, who continues to keep us updated on the group's progress, which has since been meeting weekly. Praise the Lord! The LTG is a core aspect of our DTS training, so we are always delighted to see our students establish one.

Len sent out his monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh in November to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in the US, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

We know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. This man named Michael Thomas Sambo visited us from Nigeria during his four-week preaching circuit in the US. Although Len has known him since around 2013, we met him in person for the first time this month, spent an afternoon and evening with him, and got to know him better. We got to hear first hand his amazing testimonies, which Len has written about in his articles, Michael Thomas Sambo's Revelation of Heaven and Hell and Angelic Escape from Terrorist Assassins, as well as his Interview with Brother Michael Thomas Sambo on blogtalk radio in 2014. If you have never read these articles or listened to this interview, we think you will find them edifying and encouraging to read and listen to. It was an honor and a privilege to have brother Mike as our guest, and we thank the Lord for that opportunity. We also met one of the brothers who was involved in picking him up and taking him back to safety after the Lord rescued him from those who kidnapped him and tried to assassinate him.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

Although we are not based overseas any more, we are still missionaries and still need your financial and prayer support of our ministry. Please pray and ask the Father if He would have you give.

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Lynn Veasley's Revelation of Heaven, The Vegas Massacre Marks a New Chapter, Modern Day Idols, and Something is Going on in 2017.  Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh -- November 2017. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling us to celebrate Hope's birthday.
  2. For the amazing healing in Christopher's knee.
  3. For the opportunity to visit personally with brother Michael Sambo.
  4. For our latest DTS enrollee, Stephen Ayodele.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  7. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  8. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to heal Len's knee and sciatic pain.
  2. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  3. For the Lord to increase the enrollment in our DTS according to His will.
  4. For the Lord to help Deji to multiply disciples with his new LTG.
  5. For the Lord to help Stephen Ayodele as he embarks on his three-year journey in our DTS. Pray that the Lord would use our lives and training to meet and exceed the expectations he has for the DTS.
  6. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  7. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  8. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  9. For the Lord to move mountains to raise up new faith partners, including those who would sponsor our students, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry -- as He releases a financial miracle.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
