March Update -- 2024

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry. We hope you will read this to the end, as we have lots of praise reports, good news, and prayer requests.

Family
: In March, we celebrated Len's 58th birthday with cards, cake, a small gift, and prayer.

Christopher is doing fine with his IT studies as a full-time college student. He was enrolled this quarter in a course on IT Security, but since he had already been certified by CompTIA with a highly-rated Security+ certification, he was able to drop that class, and receive a credit for his certification, rather than take the course. He also received a refund for his book, which was very expensive, as well as his fees and most of the tuition we had paid for the course. It all came about through a conversation with an unsaved coworker in the deli, who suggested that since he was already Security+ certified, that he should ask about getting college credit for it, rather than taking the course. When he asked the college about it, they granted his request. Praise God for enabling him to do this.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its ninth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in seven nations including Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Sudan, Bulgaria, and the United Kingdom.

Len received the following testimony in March from brother Max, one of our students in Uganda, who wrote:

"Praise the Lord, brother Len!

I would like to thank God for helping me learn through DTS course reading. DTS has done a lot in my life as a gospel preacher.

This week the Lord finally helped me to lead to Christ two people that I have long been praying for, especially in my LTG group meeting. They were not my LTG partners, but I had given their names to my LTG partners, so we could continue praying for their salvation. Therefore this has taught me that God will always answer our prayers when we wait upon him for any of our prayer request. I am forever grateful that more grace of God will be added on me as I continue to learn through my DTS course. Amen and Amen."

Hallelujah!

We also want to give God the praise for our four new students, who have just joined us this quarter. We are welcoming sister Margaret in Nigeria, sister Vicky in Uganda, brother Suphi in Bulgaria, and brother Joshua in Ghana, who is resuming his training once again after a long hiatus. We look forward to serving them in our journey together over the next three years. Please pray that the Lord will bless them and help them as they begin their training, enabling them to grow in God and be equipped for works of service that God prepared for them to do.

In March, Len received the following brief video testimony from Grace Okurut, who is one of our graduates, and who serves as our DTS Facilitator for Uganda and South Sudan. Please click here to watch his testimony. He also sent a video of a healing service at the church he pastors, at which many people received healing. Please click here to watch a very short clip from that service.

At the end of this service, through the prayer of faith in the name of Jesus, several people received healing from the Lord.

All the men were healed: Basil had a kidney problem and was healed instantly; Solomon, who had been having body pains for years, was healed also; the young boy named Emma got healed of a headache. Another man named Michael had a serious headache, and the Lord healed him instantly, after brother Grace first asked him if he could receive the Lord as his Savior, which he did. This man was brought to church that day by a friend, who had been helping him with treatment of his family members. All the children, including his wife, Jennifer, were unwell for years.

After the Lord's healing that day, Michael brought his wife, Jennifer, with their son, Dan. Jennifer, in a subsequent Sunday meeting, got instant healing from pains that almost caused her paralysis from the hip down to her foot. Their son, Dan, was healed by the Lord from a pancreatic related disease; his healing took 30 minutes of prayer. When Brother Grace prayed at first, there was no response at all! Then the Lord put it in his heart to call the mother to stand by him; when he laid his hand on the mother, and then on her son, he immediately got relieved. We praise the Lord for that, because they had traveled from a distant village to come to this service.

Praise the Lord!

Sister Mwendwa in Kenya sent the following testimony to Len in March:

"I'd like to share about a powerful testimony from my hospital evangelism that I try to do every Saturday. A few Saturdays ago I met a young man in the hospital. He had been beaten up by a group of young men after they argued about politics while drunk. They were determined to kill him and pounded his head with metal clubs. Just as he was losing consciousness a white man passing by lay on him to prevent the attack. The young men fled, and this man took him to hospital. Long story short, his skull was badly dented and he has surgery for stitches. I met him and preached to him and he was willing and ready to get saved and I left him a few tracts and free John and Romans bibles to distribute. Never met him again but I was amazed at how God spared him from certain death by a foreigner literally laying down his life for him and then the Lord Jesus saving him in hospital by my witness. I believe the Lord has great plans for him. His name was Frankpas. Praise God.

Grace and peace

Sister Mwendwa"

Praise the Lord.  She also notified Len that she got a job, which for several months she had been praying for. It is everything she had asked the Lord for. She wrote:

"Praise the Lord, Brother Len,

I just wanted to testify that I got a job. I applied for it on February 7th, had an interview and a few other steps, and then got the offer on the 8th of March. I had written down exactly what I wanted in a job, including pay and other factors, and the Lord gave me all I asked for. It is with an American health insurance and services company called HealthPartners, which is doing a project in Kenya for 5 years with the Kenyan government in partnership with USAID. Thank you for assisting me with your prayers with me in this regard."

We rejoice with sister Mwendwa for this wonderful answer to prayer. God is good!

We received the following testimony in March from sister Catherine in England:

"Dear brother Len and sis Jennifer,

I had a dream last night of being in a white tent representing the Kingdom of God and a black tent opposite Satan's Kingdom. And in the dream, I kept looking at the black tent and the darkness kept coming towards me.

It's a reminder that we are in this world, but not of it. Our Lord said, "You must keep on the armour of God, as in Ephesians 6. Otherwise the darkness will affect you and your spiritual growth and efficiency to do the work of God's Kingdom, which is so urgent."

Also this is not being taught in many Churches and many Christians will end up in Hell because they are not serving  in God's Kingdom 100%. So I am fasting and praying to spread this extremely  important message from our Lord to all Churches.

Wishing you every blessing. With Love in Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sis Catherine."

Upcoming Missions Trips
Len is preparing to go on a missions trip to Albania in early April, two weeks from now. Please pray that the Lord will use Len mightily for His glory on this trip, that it will result in the Church being edified, instructed, and encouraged, as well as result in the multiplication of many disciples of Christ. And pray that all the logistical aspects of air and land travel, as well as lodging, would be safe, smooth-going, and without incident.

Len is also planning other missions trips as well, including to Bulgaria (June), England (possibly July), and New Mexico. Pray that the Lord will allow all those plans to materialize successfully for His glory.

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in March to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. We encourage you to read it also, as it contains some excellent articles you won't find anywhere else.

We would like to share with you a brief article highlighting the ministries of three of our graduates at the following link.

New Giving Portal
Please note that we now have a GiveSendGo Campaign for Doulos Missions International, which is a new portal for giving financially to this ministry. All contributions are still tax deductible as always. The link for the portal and campaign is here. The donate page on our DMI website and all of Len's blogs now takes you to the GiveSendGo campaign. One way you could help support us besides praying and giving financially is to share this link on social media, as well as with friends and family.

Your prayers and financial support to help make Len's planned missions trips possible would be greatly appreciated.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For blessing us with a wonderful celebration of Len's fifty-eighth birthday.
  2. For enabling Christopher to receive college credits for his Security+ professional certification and a refund on the cost of his tuition, fees, and book for the Security course he had enrolled in.
  3. For the four new students that have begun their DTS training this month.
  4. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students, especially the two people who got saved through the ministry of brother Max, and the one who got saved through sister Mwendwa.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to help Christopher to find an excellent, good-paying job in the IT field.
  2. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students.
  3. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  4. For the Lord to bless the four new students and help them as they begin their training, enabling them to grow and be equipped for works of service that God prepared for them to do.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  7. For the Lord to lead, guide, and provide for ministry travel, as Len makes plans for the coming weeks and months of 2024.
  8. For the Lord to use Len mightily for His glory on his upcoming trip to Albania in early April, that their would be a powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit upon him that will result in the Church being edified, instructed, and encouraged, accompanied by signs and wonders following, as well as the multiplication of many disciples of Christ. And for all the logistical aspects of air and land travel, as well as lodging, that they would be safe, smooth-going, and without incident.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
