May Update -- 2022

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family
: In April, our son Christopher scored 100% on his final exam for the computer course on Hardware / Software Support that he is taking from the technical college. Praise the Lord! On May 16th, he begins two more summer classes, one of which is Advanced Hardware/Software Support. Please lift him up in prayer to do well with those, too.

In May we celebrated his seventeenth birthday with cake, cards, gifts, and prayer for him.

Meanwhile, our daughter Faith has come up the learning curve in her new job at the grocery store Deli/Bakery, so with the Lord's help, she now knows the job skills that are required of her. The goal now is to become more proficient with those skills, so that she can perform them faster. However, her management seems quite pleased with her progress and currently has her training a new employee how to do her job.

Our daughter Charity reports that the person at work who had been difficult to work with, until recently changing for the better, is still getting along very well with her. Praise the Lord for that!

While Charity has not been experiencing asthma symptoms for quite some time now, which we are very grateful for, she is having a number of other challenging health issues, for which she needs prayer. She is experiencing presyncope from time to time, whereby she suddenly feels like she may pass out. She also needs to be delivered from insomnia. Although there are other health issues as well, we would appreciate it if you would join us in praying for these at this time.

We are preparing as a family to distribute the Jesus Film DVD and some gospel tracts, as well as Len's salvation testimony and his book, A Willing Heart to Please the Father, throughout our entire community. Please pray for us that the Lord would help us do this and touch the hearts of every person who receives a gift bag on their doorknob, that those who don't know Christ would give their lives to Him.

We mentioned last month that our DMI Treasurer, brother Dave Wenrich, had resigned as a pastor and started a new counseling ministry called Max Life. Well, now his website at max-life.org is finally up and running, which you are free to check out. They will provide counseling to anyone in any location on earth using video conferencing.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples in seven nations including Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, India, and the United Kingdom.

In May, sister Juliet in Uganda (pictured left) has been vibrantly continuing evangelism with her team in parts of Kayunga in Mukono and Luuka.

Sister Joyce in Uganda said: "My testimony is that during my official duty in a remote location, I ministered Christ, then baptized two people."

Brother Isaac in Uganda wrote to Len in May the following testimony:

"Good morning brother Len.

I also finished a crusade in Kampala and had 186 people receive Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, which included a well known witch doctor in the area. And very notable miracles happened."

Len received the following testimony from brother Hillary in South Sudan in May:

"Dear Leonard,

Greetings from South Sudan, we continue to thank God for his mercy and grace as we approach each new day. I would like to testify about what God did for his own Glory.

On 23rd of April a friend of mine sent to me a video of his daughter battling for her life in a critical condition. I drove 15 kilometers to meet my friend in his house, although the daughter was admitted in the hospital, we decided to pray at home and believed that God will heal her in the hospital. Indeed God miraculously healed the young girl. She was brought home in the morning from the hospital, and is perfectly fine now.

God is good all the time

Sincerely
Hillary"

Brother Yatta in Uganda wrote the following testimony in May, which has been shortened to fit into this newsletter:

"Praise the Lord brother Len,

Darkness is what I saw in my future. At the age 27 years, I was depressed not knowing what my future would hold. For six years now, I have lived with gloom, having thoughts that I have a future without any light. I was seriously in need of someone...I needed help, but out of the blue, I was connected to the DTS program. Here are the two ways DTS changed my life:

First, within my short period of time in DTS, I saw God in a new way, I saw Him up close. To me it was a moment of enlightenment of who He was and how He sees me. I saw him as a Father, a Shepherd, and a Friend with whom I could communicate my heart, who is willing to listen and talk to me.

Secondly, I found my [true identity] for the very first time. I always lived according to other's expectations. I allowed situations and my past to define me and where I was headed in life. I began seeing a new perspective about myself...I saw the original [purpose] that God had in mind when he created me. I was set free and I saw opportunities to make a difference, to have a bright future, to live, and not just to exist.

I [now] know who holds my future. I saw Jesus in my future. That's all I needed.

God bless you all.
Yatta Satimon John"

In May, Len received the following testimony from brother Martin, who is a pastor in Uganda:

"I have learned a lot so far from DTS as well through LTG to be aware of the fact that God is with us in every situation.

The Holy Spirit is with us who believe.  Because of His presence, the
fruit of the spirit begins to flow through our lives in ever evident ways (Eph 1: 17- 18; 2: 19- 22; 4: 1-6; 5:18-20, Gal 5:16-26).

In LTG I have learned many things from the life of Joseph. Sometimes we are put in situations that we never expected to be in. God has called each of us to be God’s image bearer no matter what situation we are in (Gen 50: 18-21).

Thank you, brother Len,

Martin Kuku William"

Len also sent out the Old News That's Still Fresh in May to pastors, elders, disciples, and laborers in the harvest in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Note: Some words in the recorded testimonies above have been changed to correct the grammar and spelling, and to enhance their clarity and readability. This was done without changing the meaning.

Resources: We would like to remind you that Len's entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling Faith to come up the learning curve on her new job so quickly and already be training someone else to do the job.
  2. For enabling Christopher to pass his college course with flying colors, and blessing him with a happy birthday celebration.
  3. For the breakthrough that Charity is continuing to experience at work with a formerly difficult coworker.
  4. For the amazing testimonies of God's work in the lives of our students and their brethren in Christ.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to heal Faith and Len from eczema.
  2. For the Lord to heal Charity from insomnia, presyncope, and restore balance to any body chemistry that may be making her feel that way.
  3. For the Lord to use our community outreach with the Jesus Film DVD to touch many hearts and bring many lives to Jesus.
  4. For the Lord to help Christopher to do well on his summer college courses.
  5. For the Lord to provide for all the needs of our DTS students in the hardships they're experiencing and assist them in any life challenges they may be experiencing
  6. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  7. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group), and help them finish all their course work for the current quarter by the end of this month.
  8. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  9. For the Lord to raise up new faith partners, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
