October 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: The children have continued with their home school and Charity with her new job. All is going well, so praise the Lord. In October we celebrated Jennifer's birthday with a party, cake, cards, gifts, and prayer.

Around that same time Christopher fell off his bike and injured his left knee. He was in pretty significant pain when he tried to put his weight on it. We thought it was possible he may have broken something or torn something inside his knee. So Len was shopping for a pair of crutches for him, and we were planning to take him to urgent care the next day for an examination and x ray. We laid hands on his knee and prayed for it, and the next day he reported feeling much better. The pain was down to a level one or two on a scale of one to ten. Praise the Lord! Our Christian neighbor across the street brought over a pair of crutches to loan us for Christopher to use, but Christopher was able to walk back over and return the crutches, since he did not need them. Please pray for a complete healing of the rest of the pain in his knee.

Len had also injured his knees somehow, especially his left knee, which has been painful. It feels like a torn ligament. He is trying to get an appointment for physical therapy, and has been icing it. This has been going on for over a month, so please pray for his knee to be completely healed in Jesus' name.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Rwanda.

In September Len received the following report from brother Theophilus in Nigeria:

Deji and Theophilus in Nigeria
"Last week, we had a medical outreach in the barracks. I made a decision to distribute some simple leaflets on health with biblical references. In addition I included the Ten Commandments as a simple guide to knowing the will of G-d. The response was alarming, certain Muslim women feels offended and inform the Senior Officers who instantly call for its withdrawal.

Finally finished with course now in Abuja.
Thanks so much Sir. God bless you.
Lt T A Ayodele."

Len also received an update from Deji saying that he has invited two brothers to pray about joining him in a Life Transformation Group (LTG), one of which the Lord recently used Deji to lead back to Christ. He is also planning to be married to Hannah his fiance in December. Here is his note on that:

"I am...trusting the Lord for my wedding on the second of December this year, by sight no preparation is on, but we believe the Lord will do it. God bless you sir. With love in Christ, Deji."

Praise the Lord for this good report for Deji. Let's pray he is able to successfully start an LTG and that he and Hannah are indeed able to get married on December 2 as planned.

Grace and his wife in Uganda
Len sent out his monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh in October, and received positive feedback. A pastor in Uganda named Grace (pictured left with his wife) also responded saying: "Thanks so much my brother! I am blessed by your articles and praying for you. Blessings, Grace."

One of our DTS students in Mali named Colette also responded by saying:

"Dear brother Leonard, Thanks for the October edition of 'Old News That's Still Fresh.' I am always edified by reading the articles. May the Almighty increase your strength to continue with his work. Stay blessed. Sister Collete"

In October, Len received an encouraging comment from a pastor in India who read Len's article called Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit -- What's the Difference? He wrote:

"I have learnt a lot. I'm a Theological student. I did my B.Th and doing ministry now. But always confused regarding [the] gifts.. now I got clarified. Thanks for the wonderful composition based on scriptures. Please do send me any more articles to my email. Pastor Vijaya R, India." Praise the Lord for the way He is using our articles, such as this one, to touch the lives of people around the world like this precious pastor. Len did send him some additional articles to read as he requested. In a subsequent email, he stated:

"Dear Pastor. Len Lacroix, I'm very happy to receive such a good and kind response from you. I believe that you are filled with love of Jesus for your fellow beings. I am Pastor Vijaya R., a Hindu convert. In fact, my mother first came to Jesus when I was 7 years old. I started going to Sunday school. My mother is an effective prayer warrior. Through God's grace and her prayers, she started a church in our village among Hindu people. Now we have two churches. In each church having 45-50 members attending for Sunday service. After my 12th standard [grade], I went to Masters College of Theology in our city Visakhapatnam. This college is affiliated with the Senate of Serampore University established by William Carey. I did my Bachelor of Theology. After a personal call from God I dedicated my life to full time ministry in 2009.  I [was] married in 2014. Me and my wife and my mother are doing ministry in [the] surrounding villages among Hindu people. Pastor Vijaya R., Bible Missions Church,  Andhra Pradesh, India."

Pray the Lord will use these to impact brother Vijaya's life for eternity, and the lives of those he serves in his congregation in that Indian village among Hindu people.

In October, a woman named Cana in Florida contacted Len, because she was afraid she had blasphemed the Holy Spirit. Len corresponded with her and sent her some articles. Then he wrote to her that we were going into prayer for her as a family, which we did right after he sent that email. The next morning Len received an email from her that had been sent while we were in prayer the previous night, shortly after he sent that email. She wrote the following, which we are sharing with her permission:

"I felt your prayers somehow. Before I read this... I looked down at a paper right at the name Daniel and instantly thought someone with the faith/power of Daniel in the Bible is praying for me.. I thought maybe it was you and then I just checked my email!" That is when she saw the message that we would pray for her. Then a moment later she sent the following email:

"Ok ... Oh my.. You'll never guess what just happened.. Right near that paper with the name Daniel, I set down my beverage. For the first time ever I am drinking sparkling water by the company Lacroix! Like your last name!!! How weird is that?" Praise the Lord! We give God all the glory. Please pray the Lord would help Cana receive His mercy and forgiveness, that she would be delivered from demons, and that the Lord would break off all condemnation from her life.

We had previously informed you that Denis our office manager and bookkeeper had a tumor on his one and only kidney, which was deemed by one doctor to be cancerous. Again, that is the only kidney he has, since his other one was removed a couple decades ago due to kidney cancer at that time. Here is the wonderful praise report we received from Denis in September:

"Hi Len and Family,

Denis, the DMI Office Manager in NH
I just wanted to share with you a mighty miracle of God and answer to your prayers. I had an appointment this afternoon to find out the results of my second MRI. Just to review.... primary doctor said I had cancer of the kidney as a result of first MRI. A follow up with urologist confirmed [there was a] tumor, but he was uncertain of cancer and wanted a six-month wait and second MRI. Though at that time he was willing to remove tumor and be done with it, if I decided to do that.  As of today, there is NO TUMOR and the only thing that remains is a small cyst of no significance. He recommends a follow up in two years, but does not anticipate any further issues.  Praise and Glory to God of all creation!!!! Thank you for your prayers.

Blessings, Denis"

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! We give God all the glory for healing Denis miraculously from kidney cancer. Thank you for praying with us for him.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

Although we are not based overseas any more, we are still missionaries and still need your financial and prayer support of our ministry. Please pray and ask the Father if He would have you give.

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Songs of the Holy Fire, Known by God, The Contractions Are Coming Closer TogetherProphetic End Time Warnings of Little Children, and Blessing Others.  Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh -- October 2017. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling us to celebrate Jennifer's birthday.
  2. For the way He spoke to this woman Cana in Florida in answer to our prayers.
  3. For the amazing healing in Christopher's knee.
  4. For the miraculous healing of Denis' kidney and the way He shrank that tumor on it without any medical treatment.
  5. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  6. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  7. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  8. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to dissolve the remaining cyst on brother Denis our bookkeeper's kidney.
  2. For the Lord to help Cana receive His mercy and forgiveness, that she would be delivered from demons, and that the Lord would break off all condemnation from her life.
  3. For the Lord to heal Christopher's knee.
  4. For the Lord to heal Len's knee and sciatic pain.
  5. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  6. For the Lord to increase the enrollment in our DTS according to His will.
  7. For the Lord to help Deji and Hannah get married on December 2nd.
  8. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  9. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  10. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  11. For the Lord to move mountains to raise up new faith partners, including those who would sponsor our students, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry -- as He releases a financial miracle.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs

September 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In August Charity landed her first job, and she did get the one she originally wanted at Chick-fil-A, so thank you for praying for her. Praise the Lord. She has already begun and her initial training is in progress. So far she is enjoying it. She also took the college entrance SAT test at the end of August and is awaiting the results.

Meanwhile the rest of the children had a good summer break and started back to school in September. Joseph is in the second grade, Christopher in the seventh, Faith in her Freshman Year of High School, and Hope is a Junior.

More photos.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Rwanda.

One of our students in Rwanda, Jean Baptiste (pictured below), wrote to Len in September:

Jean Baptiste in Rwanda and Sherry in Kenya
"Dear Leonard, Please, let me tell you how it is good to learn your lessons. It is very wonderful, and when you began to read, it is not easy to leave the course according to the attachment of my heart to it. It shows the reality in life, for example, keeping a prayer journal. I can not explain how I get immediate change, which I have to tell others. We speak with God through our Bible and we get answers in the same way. We have to write each vision and...realization, then you verify the date you received the message....Please I am enjoying with courses and [the] Holy spirit supports me. May God bless you. Jean Baptiste." Praise the Lord. All the glory goes to God for what He is doing in this brother's life through our ministry. Hallelujah! Please pray for Jean Baptiste, as he disciples others there in Kigali City, Rwanda and holds weekly Bible studies.

Len received the following message from sister Sherry (pictured above), one of our students in Kenya:

"Hallo brother Len,  I am doing alright and I certify that I have indeed finished my 3rd quarter. And proudly moving to the next. I didn't have a smart phone before and it was difficult for me to study. But by God's mercy and Grace in July a neighbor brought me a smart phone just like that and told me to pay her slowly, bit by bit till am finished. The Lord knew my need and was able to supply. Now I have no problem.  I am also embarking on door to door Evangelism. And the Lord has confirmed that He is with me, that I should focus on Him alone, that my focus should only be on Him and nothing else (not even myself), or I will not make it.  Thank you too, brother Len. When I read your email I felt really encouraged and not condemned. I felt strong and ready to be on my feet. I praise His holy Name.

"I am also no longer working with the insurance company. I have started a small business of selling curtains and duvet and other things like shawls and African clothe material.  The Lord bless you. I have been reading your other articles too, and I feel blessed." Praise the Lord for this wonderful report from sister Sherry. You may recall that she had been in Lebanon for a year working as a maid and is now back in her home country. It has not been easy for her as a single mother, but the Lord is helping her. Please remember her in your prayers as the Lord leads you.

Deji in Nigeria and Tilia in Liberia
Sister Tilia in Liberia (pictured left) testified to a wonderful miracle in answer to persistent prayer. The Lord brought her young daughter from the US, who does not really know her, to spend a year with her in Liberia. Glory to God. She also reported that her phone was stolen and her laptop is down, so she is managing little by little to use her husband's laptop to complete her coursework when he comes home. Let's pray that the Lord will bless her time with her daughter, and provide a new phone, as well as the needed laptop repairs.

In our last update, we mentioned that brother Deji in Nigeria (pictured above) needed a new cell phone, in order to continue with his discipleship training in our DTS. He wrote to Len in September with the following praise report:

"Dear Brother Len, The Lord has provided a new phone last Monday. It's been delivered, as I will complete payment in two weeks time by God's grace. I will continue my studies in DTS as soon as possible. Something makes me feel that the issues I had concerning smartphone this year might not be natural...The Lord bless you sir. With love in Christ, Deji." Praise the Lord for providing Deji with a new phone, and enabling him to complete his second quarter of his second year in the DTS this month, in spite of all the challenges he has faced in doing so.

Len also received the following testimony from sister Collete in Mali, who is another one our DTS students also in her second year of training:

Sister Collete in Mali
"Dear Leonard, I thank God for the gift of life and abundant grace.

When I look back to over a year ago before I started the DTS and look at my life today.  Spiritually I am not the same person.

I used to be what can be called a religious person meaning I believed in self righteousness involving myself in most church activities and believing by doing so God was pleased with me. What we were taught in church was only blessings and happiness.

Since joining DTS there has been a tremendous transformation in me. I have learnt to have personal relationship with God, besides the true doctrine  of Christianity. Christ dying for our redemption, repentance , salvation and eternity.

This has changed me to be more focused on more of the things of the Kingdom of God than worldly matters.  This is the greatest miracle that has happened to  me. To Him alone be all the glory.

N.B. God has at long last answered my prayers  by directing me to a church that preaches holiness and women respect godly attire. These are all his doings and they are marvelous!!!! Stay blessed. Sister Collete"

Praise the Lord! We give God all the glory for what He has done in sister Collete's life through the DTS.

In August we went as a family downtown into the city of Winston-Salem, NC one Sunday afternoon to do some old-fashioned, open air preaching. We set up across the street from a bus stop (pictured left) full of people sitting around drinking alcohol. There on the sidewalk (the one on the right side of the photo), we began to sing the hymns of old that tell the gospel story. Although they didn't pay much attention while we were singing, they did applaud after we finished each song. But then when Len began to preach the gospel and share his testimony, they carried on talking very loudly among themselves and mostly ignoring us.

Meanwhile, we were next door to a place called the Salvation Army Center for Hope. Two ladies who seemed to be in charge of that center came outside to the edge of their parking lot and stood very close beside where we were on the sidewalk. One of the ladies, who was wearing a T-shirt bearing the name of Christ, stared at Len coldly. As he preached, he looked over occasionally and smiled at her, but she just remained stone-faced, and seemed to be opposed to what we were doing. Then the other lady who was with her began video recording us on her phone. At one point during the preaching, some of the people at the bus stop appeared to be smoking dope. A couple people appeared to give at least some attention to what Len was saying.

Soon the police arrived, and we thought they might arrest us, when the cruiser stopped a few feet in front of us, between us and the bus stop across the narrow street. The female officer briefly spoke with the people from inside her vehicle, and they seemed to be quite familiar with her, even calling her "baby." But she left without saying a word to us.

Len finished his message and gave an invitation for salvation, but nobody responded. Then we sang a couple more songs and ended. A man named Christopher came over and spoke with us afterward, who seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and maybe also drugs. He said that he attends a Baptist church and is backslidden. He said he is an alcoholic, but did not have any interest in being set free, and walked away from us before we were finished talking.

In our previous newsletter, we mentioned a sister "M" (name withheld for privacy) from the Republic of Moldova that felt she had blasphemed the Holy Spirit, whom we asked you to pray for. We reported in August how she was doing much better afterward. Len checked with her in September to ask if she was making progress, and she replied, "Yes, of course! God is good! I was working hard two weeks ago, and I had back pain three days in a row. I prayed on the third day for healing and I was healed right then. I trust Jesus! Thanks for your prayers." She also stated, "[The Lord] answered not just that prayer, but many others. Nothing is impossible for our God. Without faith we can do nothing. It is so important...Say thanks to your prayer partners. I'm so grateful to God [that] I have help from where I did not think." Praise the Lord.

We mentioned in our last two updates a fifteen year-old girl in South Africa named Thelma, who lives in an area that she claims is dominated by satanism. We received another praise report from her this month. She wrote: Hi Mr. Len, ...I'm fine and doing well. I feel better. l'm doing better, and some heavy things have gone, and l feel better than the last time I talked to you. So yes, l have progressed. I'm better." Glory to God! We give all the praise to Him for what He has done in Thelma's life. Thank you for joining us in prayer for her.

In all the years we have been publishing our monthly newsletters we have never asked for money. However, we would like to ask you to please pray and ask the Father if He would have you give to support this ministry financially, so that we can continue to do what we are doing, reaching the nations for Christ. Doulos Missions International relies on the Lord to provide through the generous charitable support of those who give to this ministry. Won't you prayerfully consider being part of that in some way? Any amount the Lord leads you to give would help and be appreciated. After praying about it, if you decide to give, please see our Donate page for directions on how to do so.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

August 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In August we celebrated Faith's birthday as she turned fifteen years old. Meanwhile, Christopher has been taking keyboard lessons and now can play thirteen worship songs while singing them. He is doing very well with that. Praise the Lord!

More photos.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Germany.

Although Dr. Theophilus Ayodelle had intended to resume his DTS training in July, he notified us in August that he had been unable to do so, since his military unit had been sent for training in rural areas, and his laptop was ruined by leaking water. He now plans to resume his DTS training in September upon returning from the field. Let's pray that the Lord will bless him with another laptop, so that he can do so.

He is not the only one facing challenges in his discipleship training with us. Deji in Nigeria said that once again his mobile phone has broken down, and he is unable to use it to carry out his training. He asked for prayer that the Lord would provide another mobile phone, so that he may resume his studies.

We also continue to get positive feedback from those who are reading Len's articles, as well as people reaching out to us for help in the form of prayer and counseling. Last month we mentioned a woman named Delvar from Zimbabwe who lives in South Africa. She sent us some dreams her nine year old daughter has been having about the Lord's return, as well as a vision that she herself had. We'd like to encourage you to read about the dreams and vision in Len's article, God Gives Little Girl Revelation of Christ's Return.

One of our DTS students wrote to Len, "Dear brother Leonard, Thank you for your updates of Old News that is still Fresh. I am always lifted by the articles. May the Almighty strengthen you to continue with his work. Stay blessed, Sister Collete." Praise the Lord for this feedback from sister Collete.

We mentioned last month that we received a contact from a fifteen year-old girl in South Africa named Thelma, who is demon possessed and lives in an area that she claims is dominated by satanism. It seems to be a spiritual wasteland. The church she once attended is gone and her former pastor is no where to be found. Since the last newsletter, she wrote to us saying:

"Hi, Mr Len. It's Thelma. I thought I should let you know about whats been happening to me.

The little fastings that I have been doing [are doing] more than I thought they would. You know, when I first sent you the messages, I was all down and didn't know what to do. Well, I must say that I have been better.

I have not in a long time felt joy and peace, but these days there is this peace and joy in my heart. And it keeps me from worrying about some things, though the worrying is still intense, but I can't say l'm like before.

I remember one time. It's like the Holy Spirit was on me. I was listening to gospel music and my desire to worship Him increased...Praise Jesus who is the Only One who can put a true smile on my face.

Thank you, too, Mr Len."

Glory to God for what He has done in sister Thelma's life. Thank you for joining us in praying for her.

Then a nineteen-year old woman named "M." in the Republic of Moldova wrote to us in July, because she thought she had committed the unpardonable sin, the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. She said that it was so devastating to her that it was adversely affecting her marriage and even employment. After corresponding via email, giving her godly counsel, and sending some of Len's articles to read, as well as praying for her, she wrote back to say: "I spoke to my Christian friend (also a wife) and she helped me and encouraged to stay strong. I pray. Thank you a lot for your prayers and answers. I believe we will have sunny days in the near future. If you can, please continue to pray for us. Not everything has yet been solved, but I believe God will help us." She wrote a little later in another email, "We prayed today against witchcraft because the things that happened did not seem to be that simple. Thanks a lot for your support dear brother and sister in Christ. God bless you and to God be the glory!" Praise the Lord. Please lift this woman up in prayer for the Lord to resolve all remaining areas that are still affected, especially to give her victory over self-blaming thoughts.

We mentioned in our June newsletter that one of our board members named Gino went on another missions trip to Romania. He returned with a good report about what the Lord did there. He was grateful for those who prayed, saying, "I thank you for your prayers, because in spite of this opposition to the Gospel in the village, I had so many God-appointed opportunities there to talk to people about the Gospel with hearts that were prepared to hear it." Please take a moment to read his concise testimony of the trip, which I have posted online called Testimonies from Hunedoara.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling Gino to go to Romania and evangelize to many people there.
  2. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  3. For enabling Christopher our son to learn to play songs of worship on the keyboard.
  4. For allowing us to celebrate Faith's fifteenth birthday.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  6. For the wonderful answer to prayer for the sister in Moldova.
  7. For the good report we received from sister Thelma in South Africa.
  8. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  9. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to grant brother Denis our bookkeeper a miraculous healing in his kidney.
  2. For the Lord to deliver sister Thelma in South Africa from evil.
  3. For the Lord to provide brother Deji in Nigeria with another cell phone to continue his training.
  4. For the Lord to provide brother Theophilus in Nigeria with another laptop in order to resume his training in September.
  5. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.

July 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Charity's High School graduation
Family: In June, we held our own high school graduation ceremony for Charity. The other children sang specials including Marching to Zion and Onward Christian Soldiers, and Len delivered a commencement message about wisdom and knowledge. We had some Christian neighbors in attendance who also home school. What a blessing it was to have them with us to celebrate the occasion. And Jennifer's parents surprised us by driving down from West Virginia to attend the formal cap and gown ceremony, which made it extra special.
There was one disappointing aspect to it. We were planning to have the ceremony outdoors in our back yard, using the patio as the platform. However, due to inclement weather, we had to change our plans in the last minutes before the ceremony and hold the event indoors. Since we don't yet own any living room furniture, God worked that together for good, because we had plenty of room in our living room to set up all the chairs for the graduation ceremony.

Praise the Lord for helping Charity to achieve this significant milestone in her life. We also celebrated her nineteenth birthday with party, cake, gifts, and cards. Her plans for this summer are to take the SAT test in August, obtain her driver's license, and get a full time job as soon as possible, hopefully at a local Lowes Foods grocery store. Please pray the Lord will enable her to accomplish her goals and that His purposes will be fulfilled in her life.

Meanwhile the other children also finished their school year and got great results back on the Iowa standardized tests that they had taken. Hope was advanced to the eleventh grade, Faith was advanced to the ninth grade, so she will begin high school in the fall. Christopher advanced to junior high and will be in the seventh grade, while Joseph advanced to the second grade. Praise the Lord for a successful school year and the good test results.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Germany.

One of our married students in Germany named Christian, who is an artist, wrote to Len in July with the following testimony of what the Lord is doing in his life and the life of his discipleship partner through the DTS:

"Dear Len,

In our humble beginning, slow start, etc, we thank you for your great ministry, in which the Lord is using you mightily, and you are such a humble, kind brother.

The brief testimony I want to give, is, that, though yet we are stumbling into the right routine of doing the DMI guidelines and getting used to the things we have to do, you rightly emphasis on discipline. We see changes in our lives, and the Lord is doing a lot, we want to continue and improve as fast as possible to the standard of the discipline of the discipleship training guidelines. We are motivated.

Praise be to God,
Blessings to you and your family,

Christian, also speaking in behalf of Aaron."

Glory to God for what He is doing in Christian!

David O., Nigeria
One of our students in Nigeria named David O. wrote to Len in June to give praise to the Lord for helping him successfully pass his medical exams and complete his first year of medical school. He wrote:

"Dear Bro Len, I want to testify to the Glory of God for His faithfulness upon my life. The results for my first professional exams (1st  MBBS) was released on Friday and I passed. My first year in medical school was very challenging and the Lord was faithful to see me through.

I like to also appreciate you for your prayers and encouragement through Dr. Andrew Stenhouse and Dr Theo. God bless you richly Sir. Yours in Christ, David." Praise the Lord for helping brother David pass through his first year of medical school.

As we mentioned last month, Dr. Theophilus Ayodelle is resuming his DTS studies with us this month. Thanks for praying about that.

We also continue to get positive feedback from those who are reading Len's articles, as well as people reaching out to us for help in the form of prayer and counseling. One such person was a woman named Delvar from Zimbabwe who lives in South Africa. She wrote in part:

"Dear brother Len and your wife , thank very much for spreading the revelations of the end times and the gospel of holiness. My family and I, we are being blessed with the revelations the Lord is giving to His children." In another subsequent email she wrote, "Dear brother Len, I am so glad to hear from you...I also read some of your articles from Writing for the Master. I must confess that I was so blessed with the richness of them...I will always remember you and your family in my prayers. God bless you." She said the Lord has been giving her nine-year old daughter revelations for about two years now. Praise the Lord for touching her life through our ministry.

In July Len received an encouraging email from a brother Sampath from India, who wrote in part:

"Dear brother Len,

Thank you for your blogpost on Holy Fire Baptism. Really blessed.

I'm Sampath, your brother in Christ from India, but currently in USA. My pastor Dr. Carlos Taylor and I were discussing about God's fire coming on us as we both were lacking it. We believe that without the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit and His fire upon us, we cannot do anything that He commands us to do in the way pleasing to Him and brings Him alone glory and praise. After I took leave of pastor, I was listening to brother Leonard Ravenhill and was thinking about Holy Fire Baptism and after few days came across pastor Yesupadham online who was talking about God's fire coming upon us. I've started browsing about it and came across your blogpost. I thank our Father in heaven through Christ Jesus for using you mightily for His work. My desire is to talk to you and pray with you for God's fire to come upon us so that we may be used by God for His work in accordance with His will and plan. I've fasted and prayed to God the first three days of this week to baptize us with His Fire and still waiting on Him....

Your brother in Christ,

Sampath"

Later Len spoke with brother Sampath and his pastor Carlos, who has been a pastor for 21 years. Len was able to pray for them to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire. We give God alone all the glory for what He has done in the lives of Sampath and Carlos.

Finally, we mentioned last month that we received a contact from a fifteen year-old girl in South Africa named Thelma, who is demon possessed and lives in an area that she claims is dominated by satanism. Unfortunately, things don't seem to be improving with her, but rather worsening. She continues to reach out to Len for help, but her case has proved to be quite challenging, as she has no local support from any Christians or pastors at all. So we ask you to join us in praying for her to be delivered from evil.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

Resources:  This month we would like to suggest some articles Len has recently written called Holy Fire BaptismRevelation of sister Claire Andoun in Heaven, Pope Establishes One World Religion, Sin, Satan, and the Submerged Sphere, and The Shack is an Attack.  Len's latest articles are all available at Old News That's Still Fresh - July 2017. His entire collection of his most popular blogs are at Writing for the Master.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling Charity to graduate from high school and allowing us to celebrate it with Jennifer's parents as well as our neighbors.
  2. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  3. For the work the Lord is doing in the lives of Christian in Germany and Aaron his discipleship partner.
  4. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  5. For helping brother Theophilus our student to resume his DTS training in July.
  6. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  7. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to grant brother Denis our bookkeeper a miraculous healing in his kidney.
  2. For the Lord to deliver sister Thelma in South Africa from evil.
  3. For the Lord to provide brother Deji with an LTG partner who desires intimacy with Jesus.
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  6. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  7. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.
  8. For the Lord to move mountains to raise up new faith partners, including those who would sponsor our students, and for Him to provide for all our needs -- not only ours personally, but also those of the ministry -- as He releases a financial miracle.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

June 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In June, Jennifer traveled to West Virginia to participate in the celebration of her parents' fiftieth wedding anniversary. Since that was her first time back in West Virginia in around ten years, and she hadn't been there or seen her brother or sister since we have returned from the mission field, it also served as a wonderful family reunion. She was able to drive up there and spend the weekend, which was a blessing for both her and her family.

While she was there, however, her mother needed medical attention and became hospitalized with what was determined to be a heart attack; but after receiving prayer and spending a few days in the hospital, the doctors could not find any significant heart blockages that would warrant treatment, so she was released to home. Praise the Lord.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Germany.

One of our students in Nigeria named Deji wrote to Len about his desire to start another Life Transformation Group (LTG), since the one he originally started is no longer functional. He asked that the Lord would provide him with an LTG partner who desires intimacy with Jesus. Let's please pray that way for him together.

Dr. Theophilus Ayodelle
As you know, we have two medical students in the DTS, both named David. And we also have a DTS student named Theophilus, who is a medical doctor serving in the military. He has been away for the past six months due to his military training, where he has had no access to phone or internet. However, he wrote to Len in June to say that he has finally completed boot camp, and has received his commission as a lieutenant in the Nigerian Army. He also called and spoke with Len briefly by phone, to discuss his plans to resume his DTS training in July. Please pray that he will be able to do so as he intends.

We also continue to get positive feedback from those who are reading Len's articles, as well as people reaching out to us for help in the form of prayer and counseling. One brother who is a police officer in Zimbabwe, Africa contacted Len in June stating:

"Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you so mightily for His service on the site Eternal Destinations.  I have been very much blessed reading the posts on this site...God bless you."

In his email, he explained that although he is serving the Lord as a police officer, he heard a shocking report from some testimony (on another website, not ours) that essentially his profession is not pleasing in God's site. He pleaded with us for help because he was confused and in a quandary over what to do. By the grace of God, Len was able to send him some articles that helped restore peace to his soul. We give God all the glory for that.

We also received a contact from a fifteen year-old girl in South Africa named Thelma, who is demon possessed and lives in an area that she claims is dominated by satanism. She said that even her parents have been initiated into satanism, and now they are continually trying to kill her. So we have counseled her, sent her articles, and ask you to join us in praying for her to be delivered from evil.

Another young woman in Nigeria in her upper twenties contacted Len asking for help, because her parents with whom she lives are pressuring her to get married as soon as possible. She was feeling rather desperate. Len encouraged her to wait upon the Lord for the man that He wants her to marry and not to be in a rush or get married for the wrong reasons. Please join us in praying for the Lord's will to be done in her life concerning marriage.

Lastly, one of our board members named Gino has been on a missions trip in Romania since the end of May. He is there with a Hungarian brother who lives next door to him in Australia, who is originally from Romania. This is about their third year going together on mission to Romania with the gospel. He wrote to Len from Transylvania in early June saying, "We have been blessed so far here in Romania with opportunities to help people and tell them about the gospel. For the next four weeks we will be in a city called Hunedoara, and will be thankful for your prayers for the people in this village. God bless you, brother, and talk soon." Let's pray for the Lord to use Gino and Frank mightily as they help people and give them the gospel in Hunedoara, Romania.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

May 2017 Update

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: In May we celebrated Christopher's twelfth birthday with cake, cards, gifts, and blessings. He had a delicious, homemade, cherry pie. A couple days later, however, he fell off his bike, chipped his front tooth, and scratched himself up. Thank the Lord he has healed up well and his tooth was repaired with a composite filling. We pray it will remain solid for years to come, as we have been told that front-tooth fillings can tend to fall out fairly often. Please pray it will hold in place for many years to come, and that it will not begin to grow crooked.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have nine students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Germany.

Charity and Deji in Nigeria
Our newest student is a woman named Charity from Lagos, Nigeria. About seventeen years ago, she came to know Jesus. She says, "I was opportuned to be in a bus where someone was preaching I was touched and afterwards gave my life to Christ." She says she is enrolling in the DTS for the following reasons: "To build my spiritual life; To have a good knowledge of the Bible; and To have a relationship with God." Let's pray that she achieves her goals of discipleship, along with all our other students.

Another one of our students named Deji in Nigeria recently spoke with Len by phone. He called Len and said many encouraging things regarding the work the Lord is doing in his life. He has seen good fruit coming forth in his life and the Lord has been good to him. He has provided him with regular sources of income and He has been meeting his every need. Deji is also grateful for the way the Lord has been teaching him His Word and leading him in the way he should go. He is still engaged to Hannah and they began premarital counseling on May 14th. He said something like, "The Lord has used you to mold me...through your counsel and your example...(I know that) many people out there are feeling the impact of what you're doing. My life is a testimony of what you are doing." We give the glory to God for that. He said he looks forward with anticipation at the end of each month to receiving Len's latest edition of Old News That's Still Fresh, which Len sends out monthly to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and USA.  He then told Len he had read the latest May edition, and still remembered the titles of two of the three articles in that edition. Praise the Lord for the way He has touched Deji's life! He sends greetings to all of you who support this ministry.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (Ps 115:1)

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For healing Christopher, protecting him from serious injury, and enabling him to get his front tooth repaired.
  2. For bringing into our midst Charity, who is our newest DTS student.
  3. For providing for Deji, molding him, and making him into a more mature disciple of Christ.
  4. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
  6. For the lives being touched for Christ around the world through our writing ministry.
  7. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to grant Denis a miraculous healing in his kidney.
  2. For Christopher's filling to last for many years and that the tooth would not grow in crooked.
  3. For the Lord to bless our newest student Charity as she begins her new quarter, help her to achieve her goals, and that He would bring in many more new students.
  4. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
  5. For the Lord to help all of our DTS students to find LTG partners (another Christian to meet with weekly for discipleship in a Life Transformation Group).
  6. For the Lord to heal Len from sciatic trouble, causing chronic pain.
  7. For the Lord to fulfill His purposes for us and our ministry.
  8. For the Lord to send His angels with Len’s written messages to those who need them, and for an open heaven over them when they receive his messages.

April Update 2017

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  We're pleased to share with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.

Family: Since we last wrote to you, we have made a long distance move to another place of residence. We are glad to have all that behind us now, and thank the Lord for getting us here.

Denis Lacroix
We also want to make a special prayer request for our Office Manager and Bookkeeper, Denis Lacroix, who has labored faithfully in this ministry and is a critically important member of our team. Please pray for a miraculous healing for him in his kidney, as he was recently informed of a tumor that could possibly be malignant. It is especially serious, since this is his one and only remaining kidney. The other one was removed about twenty years ago. Please stand with us in faith believing God for a supernatural miracle, whereby the Lord would grant him a brand new kidney.

Ministry:  As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. Currently we have eight students in six nations including Nigeria, Kenya, United Kingdom, Mali, Liberia, and Germany. Sister Collete in Mali shared the following testimony:

"Dear brother Leonard,

I have two testimonies.

One, for the last one year or so I have been waiting  upon the Lord to lead me to a Church that preaches holiness, and where Godly attire is respected. It had been one of my greatest challenges. God being faithful directed me to one Church yesterday, and I can happily say that I am at home. Surely God answers prayers of his faithfuls. Glory be to his name.

Second testimony is concerning my daughter. She got a job in the UN as a temporary contract last September. Normally it takes at least two years before one can be given a fixed term contract, but glory be to God who made an exemption, and on the first of April she got her fixed term. The Doer of all these marvelous things is Christ.

Stay blessed

Sister in Christ

Collete."

Len continues to write articles, and in February sent out his usual monthly edition of Old News That's Still Fresh to pastors, elders, and laborers in the harvest in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and USA. He received the following feedback in April from Grace, who is a pastor in Uganda, Africa:

"Brother Len, you don't know how your articles have touched me!! Just this morning I have been going through [your articles] 'Here I am Send Me,' and 'Is Repentance Possible During the Great Tribulation?' Throughout last week the Lord was speaking to us in a prayer closet to reach out to His people; for they are dying without repenting, and just the same week we shared about the last days, rapture, tribulation....!! I wish and I pray for the Lord to help and give us a laptop. This would help me and these folks. Pray with us please, brother Len. There is a lot of information you send for us to study and is powerful!! Blessings, Grace Okurut."

"Lord, You establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us." (Is 26:12)

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For enabling us to move to another place of residence.
  2. For helping sister Collete find a church family where she can worship and fellowship
  3. For helping Collete's daughter to get a long-term employment contract.
  7. For the words of encouragement we have received from the people being touched, including the pastor in Uganda named Grace Okurut.
  8. For the significant relief Len is experiencing from sciatic pain.
Next steps and prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to grant Denis a miraculous healing in his kidney.
  2. For the Lord to assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
