May Update -- 2026

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We're pleased to share with you the wonderful things the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry.
Family: In May, we celebrated our son Christopher's 21st birthday (pictured left) with cake, cards, and prayer for him.

We've also been experiencing a number of trials, testings, tribulations, and attacks on various fronts, for which we would appreciate your prayers.

Ministry: As we continue to administer our discipleship training school (DTS), now in its tenth year, we'd like to update you on the good things that God is doing with it. By the grace of God, we currently have disciples actively training in two nations including South Sudan and Uganda.

We continue working closely with three of our graduates in South Sudan, Uganda, and Nigeria, as they are continuing their Phase III campaigns to complete the Great Commission. Their focus is on discipleship, multiplication of disciples, and leadership development, as they provide oversight and accountability for the elders they have mentored and appointed in these fellowships.

Their latest updated testimonies of the amazing things the Lord has been doing in their Phase III campaigns are found at the links below, which we hope you will take a moment to read:

Here are some highlights.

Uganda Highlights
Our brother Grace in Uganda, who has now planted fourteen new fellowships there, has seen the Lord doing amazing things.

Here are some excerpts from his updates and testimony:

"Greetings dear brother Len, hope this email finds you well in the Lord. Kindly receive our update and be blessed:"

In the Ginnery fellowship, "We had a deliverance service that a few attended with remarkable results. There is an evidence of the Holy Spirit presence and speaking in tongues."

In the Amen B. fellowship, "The fellowship is reported to be effective on the ground evangelizing the community."

In the Awawal fellowship, "Brother Vincent and the brethren are celebrating achievements in evangelism as some souls keep adding to the fellowship."

In the Ppingere fellowship, "While visiting with them, we had a follow-up of the believers as well as outreach with souls coming to the Lord."

"Be blessed, dear brother,

"Your bro Grace."

Please continue to pray for the ongoing work that brother Grace and his team are doing in Uganda. They truly need our prayers as they sometimes experience persecution as they travel to various places. Another areas of special need for prayer is for continued clear, mud-free roads during the current rainy season. Let's also remember sister Rose in prayer to be healed from her swollen and painful leg. For more about the situation there, please see Persecution of Christians in Uganda.

Nigeria Highlights
Brother John in Nigeria shared with us about the amazing things God is doing there through his ministry efforts across the nine active fellowships that he has planted with his team. Here are some excerpts from his recent updates:

At the Liberty Road church, he says, "The fellowship at this center is making steady progress. Member participation is improving, and discipleship activities are becoming stronger. Weekly activities are more organized, and accountability is improving."

In the Karu fellowship, "This center is making steady progress. Interest in discipleship is increasing, and follow-up efforts are producing visible results. Members are becoming more committed, and the fellowship is showing promise for deeper spiritual growth."

In the Betukwel fellowship, they are "...experiencing strong spiritual growth. Participation is increasing steadily, and discipleship activities are becoming stronger. Several healing testimonies have been recorded, and there is clear evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work among the disciples. The fellowship continues to grow in number daily, showing spiritual hunger and God’s visitation.."

"Kakum continues to show steady discipleship growth with committed members and stable fellowship activities. There have been remarkable instant healings during prayer ministry. A major development is that some disciples have begun interpreting tongues during ministry sessions. This has brought joy and unity among the members. Many disciples are now eager to receive spiritual gifts and grow deeper in their relationship with God."

"A new fellowship has been started in the Atiekpe community. The fellowship began last week, and some disciples have already started responding positively and attending scheduled meetings...This is an encouraging new open door for discipleship and ministry development."

"The prison fellowship continues to show strong spiritual impact. There is clear evidence of repentance, transformation, and renewed commitment among inmates. Participation remains very high, showing openness to discipleship and spiritual growth. This location presents a great opportunity for water baptism ministry and deeper discipleship, as many inmates are ready for greater spiritual commitment."

Brother John is purchasing a mobile, inflatable pool to use for baptisms at the prison, so you could pray for the Lord's blessings on the upcoming baptism service there.

"The ministry work across all locations is producing encouraging results. Discipleship commitment is increasing, leadership systems are becoming stronger, and LTG monitoring is improving accountability.
There is clear spiritual transformation through healing testimonies, Holy Spirit impartation, leadership growth, and a stronger hunger for spiritual development. Several fellowships are moving beyond basic discipleship into deeper spiritual growth and multiplication."

In summary, these nine churches range in size from 14 people in the smallest church to over 80 people in the largest church. There are an estimated total of roughly 288 believers across all the churches. To God be the glory!

Please continue to join us through your prayers in helping support what God is doing through brother John and his team in Nigeria. The Lord has provided another place for him to move to in order to escape from his evil landlord and neighbors, but he is having to renovate the place, have a septic system installed, a well dug, and burglar protection bars installed over the windows, as well as a metal door installed on the home. He hopes to be finished with the preparations and moved into the new place by the end of August, but let's pray he is able to do so much sooner.

South Sudan Highlights
Brother Henry in South Sudan provided the following encouraging updates:

"Dear bro Len,

"I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"We glorify the Lord for the mighty move of the Holy Spirit in South Sudan. We have testimonies of deliverance, healing, salvation, baptism of the Holy Spirit and some have experienced the baptism of Fire."

In one of the areas where he had preached the gospel in the open air with his speaker, "...one of the women, who gave her life to Jesus, decided to change completely and leave what she was doing before. She was making local alcohol, but decided to leave it and ask God for another work that glorifies Him."

In Yambio, "The number of Sunday schools and teenagers has greatly increased. They have also registered some new people who have given their lives to Jesus." The situation with Brother Gerald's (the elder's) eyes is greatly improving, but more prayer is needed for complete healing. Also a a judge in Yambio has unjustly imprisoned a young many named Odong for eight years simply for sharing Jesus with a Muslim young lady. He has been falsely accused of confusing her. Please pray with us for his miraculous release from prison.

In Juba, "Many people were delivered from the spirit of ulcers. Others were delivered from other demonic attacks, and I really give the glory back to God." He continued, "We are now having Holy Communion every week. Through your guidance we are able to conduct it in just 10 minutes before we switch to the main service. We are making our own bread without yeast."

"Wau is doing well. I received the report that people are seriously repenting their sins and coming to Jesus."

In Moriok, Juba, "The number of people is growing at a rapid speed. People have known the day, and they come in very big numbers. Many are giving their lives to Jesus. And many are getting delivered."

In Check Point, Juba, "By the grace of God, the prayer altar is doing well. Many people were delivered from evil powers, and also many gave their lives to Jesus. The greatest number of the people at Check Point are Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) -- those who have been affected by the war, and have gotten no where to go. Seeing them surrendering their lives to Jesus is an amazing thing."

In Luk Luri, Juba, "The prayer altar is also doing well by the grace of God. People are coming and many are giving their lives to Jesus. We also saw people being delivered.

In Gorom, "a new prayer altar that has started this week by the grace of God."

"In conclusion, I am so grateful to God for the great work He is doing in South Sudan, and I would also love to thank Bro Len for not giving up on me. Through your teachings am learning new things every day which are causing a great positive impact to my ministration in South Sudan. I give all the glory to God.

"Your servant,
Bro Henry."

Praise the Lord for what He is doing through brother Henry. The four churches there (not including the prayer altars) range in size from 66 people in the smallest church to 180 people in the largest church. There are an estimated total of roughly 436 believers across all the churches, for which we give God all the glory.

We previously told you about the false prophets who murdered the sister who came to Christ out of prostitution. These are Christian pastors in Juba, who have also been precutting brother William who left their church months ago when he got saved. They had pressured his boss to fire him, and every job he has gotten since then, they have gotten his boss to fire him. Please pray with us for William to get a job, and for the Lord to deal with these false prophets to stop persecuting him.

More Testimonies
We previously reported to you about the serious accidental injuries sustained by brother Max Dollar, the elder in the new fellowship planted in Rokon, South Sudan by brother Henry. Thank you for your prayers. His jaw is no longer wired shut and he is improving, but he is still in need of prayer for complete healing for his bottom jaw to be properly aligned with the top jaw, and for new teeth to replace the ones that are still damaged.

Len sent out his monthly edition of the Old News That's Still Fresh in May, as he usually does each month. We hope you'll take a moment to read the content that he has published.

In closing, we have much to praise God for, and many opportunities for you to join us in prayer.

Praise the Lord with us for the many answers to prayer:
  1. For allowing us to celebrated Christopher's 21st birthday.
  2. For all the amazing testimonies of brothers Grace, John, and Henry from their Phase III ministries.
  3. For the healing that brother Max has been experiencing in his jaw.
  4. For the opportunity to assist each of our students in becoming disciples of Christ and fulfilling their callings.
  5. For the Lord's leading, guidance, wisdom, and help administering the Doulos Training School (DTS), and for the progress the students are making.
Prayer needs:
  1. For the Lord to continue to mightily bless the Phase III ministries of brothers Grace, John, and Henry, and grant them great success with much fruit.
  2. For the Lord to give brother Grace clear, mud-free roads to travel on, to deliver him from every evil attack, and bring him safely to His heavenly kingdom.
  3. For the Lord to help brother John conduct the water baptism at the prison fellowship once the pool arrives from China, and also to deliver him from evil and provide a safe place for him to relocate his family to live.
  4. For the Lord to heal sister Rose, hostess of the Awoja, Uganda church, from her swollen, painful leg.
  5. For the Lord to raise up men to be elders at all the new fellowships where they are still needed, like Ongole and Amidakan, Uganda, as well as the Nigerian Karu fellowship.
  6. For the Lord to demolish the strongholds of satan in Otucopi, Acida, Mbale, and Pingere-Serere, Uganda.
  7. For the Lord to complete the healing in bro Max's jaw and teeth.
  8. For the Lord to continue multiplying disciples through all of our students and graduates.
  9. For the Lord to give us wisdom and assist us with the administration of the Doulos Training School (DTS), as well as develop through it many disciples who multiply disciples.
Thank you so much for your partnership in this ministry.

with love from all of us,

The Lacroixs
